Yunwushu felt that something was wrong with him recently and he was inexplicably irritable.
He set down the datapad, his fingertips tapping uncontrollably on the table. A nameless anger raced through his veins, making him fidget.
To make matters worse, his temperature had been high since morning, and the glands at the back of his neck felt faintly hot, as if a fire was smoldering there.
This was not an ordinary fever. Yun Wushu knew very well what this sign meant - he was about to differentiate.
"Your Highness, what are you doing..."
"Differentiation fever," Yun Wushu said briefly, sweat already soaking his forehead. "It came on at least three months earlier than expected."
Baier immediately understood the seriousness of the situation.
Yun Wushu took a deep breath, suppressing the waves of heat that washed over him. "Clear the manor in Quanyuan Mountain, and bring someone you trust." He paused, his eyes sharpening. "Especially Dr. Beta from the medical team who's skilled in pheromone manipulation."
"Lord Crisel's side..."
"Don't let him know." Yun Wushu suddenly opened his eyes, his tone undeniably resolute. "He's been busy finalizing the border trade agreement lately. Just say I went to the Bai family's sanatorium to recuperate."
Bai Er immediately made arrangements, and under the cover of night, the group arrived at the sparsely populated Quanyuan Mountain. This mountain was his property, and he rarely came here, so not many people knew about it.
"Star Lord, judging from the condition of your glands, there is a high possibility that you will differentiate into an alpha." The doctor checked Yunwushu's physical data through the isolating glass.
Yunwushu covered his glands which were heating up, frowning. Alpha?
It doesn't matter.
The doctor watched Yun Wushu grow up and has always been working hard for Yun Wushu's health.
I don’t know whether this division is a good thing or a bad thing. Over the years, many people have lost their lives due to division.
What's more, Yunwushu's health has never been good. Just like his name, he is like a cloud of fog that can be blown away by a gust of wind.
Yun Wushu lay calmly on the bed, allowing the cold robotic arm to inject medicine into his body.
The moment the cold medicine flowed into his veins, Yun Wushu's muscles suddenly tensed up.
The monitor blared with a shrill alarm, and the doctor's exclamation came muffled through the glass: "Pheromone concentration exceeds the limit! Quickly activate the third-level suppression barrier!"
The severe pain swept through every nerve like an interstellar storm. Yun Wushu arched his body, and his nails made sharp scratching sounds on the alloy bed boards.
"What's going on?" Baier broke into the monitoring room and questioned the doctor.
Although Baier didn't understand medical matters, it was obvious that something was wrong with Yunwushu.
The doctor manipulated the medical robot to stabilize Yun Wushu's body while explaining, "Star Lord might not just differentiate into an ordinary alpha."
The former star lord's rank was not low to begin with, and the star lord's wife was a rare SS-level omega.
He should have expected that no matter whether Yunwushu differentiated into omega or alpha, his level would not be low, and the higher the level of alpha and omega, the more dangerous the differentiation process would be.
The air in the medical cabin began to distort. Baier saw the jumping scarlet values on the monitoring screen suddenly return to zero, and his heart stopped for a moment.
"Prepare the S-07 potent agent!" Bai Er's roar was fragmented by the alarm. "Change the syringe to a vibranium one!"
The doctor stopped Bai Er, "No, no, there is another way."
The S-07 booster was like a heartbeat. The doctor's fingers raced across the control panel, sweat trickling down his temples and into the collar of his white coat. "S-07 is a cardiac stimulant for Alpha suicide squads on the battlefield! Have you ever seen someone forced to stay alive for three hours after having their internal organs crushed by an elephant?"
Bai'er's hand was hovering above the red emergency button. The shrill alarm of the monitor was mixed with the creaking sound of twisting metal - Yunwushu was unconsciously gripping the bed rails, and the special alloy in his palm was deforming like clay.
"So we're just going to watch His Highness' heart stop?" Bai Er slammed his fist into the explosion-proof glass, cracks spreading like a spiderweb. The monitor showed Yun Wushu's heart rate on a roller coaster ride, a frenzied 220 one second, then plummeting into the dangerous 30s the next.
"Use beta-blockers to dilute the hormones!" The doctor kicked open the jammed medicine cabinet, causing the glass bottles to shatter into ice crystals in the shockwave. "Prepare the ice blanket! His temperature is 41.3°C!"
"Inject a sedative! Wait...Oh my God, how fast his cells regenerate!" The doctor's voice suddenly changed.
On the monitoring screen, Yunwushu's originally fragile immune system values were rising wildly.
"Chriselle..." He murmured, grasping at the void, as if the Alpha who always held him in his arms could still hear him.
But in a moment, Yunwushu returned to his original calm state, "It's okay." He pushed away the 17th inhibitor in a hoarse voice, stared at the unfamiliar self in the mirror, and looked out the window. A day and a night had already passed.
Haha, he is quite lucky.

"Chriselle, don't you think you've been too idle lately?" Bai Yan glanced at Chriselle, who was staying at his house, his fingers sliding across the data pad. The person who used to be so hard to see was now free to come to his house for tea and a chat. This was even more rare than Halley's Comet hitting Muqier.
At this point, Chrisel was no longer sleepy. He put down his teacup and crossed his legs proudly: "I'm in good hands. I tell you, those old guys are so scared now that they're scared as hell when they see me."
He's been enjoying the past few days, or rather the past few months, without the overwhelming piles of documents he's been dealing with. It's been a relief! Even his sleep quality has improved significantly.
