As soon as the study door opened, Chriselle walked over while cursing.
"You don't want to divorce me, but I'm going to tell you straight up. If you want to die, I won't even look at you. Your tombstone won't even have my name on it, and I'll bury myself in Andromeda."
It’s just a divorce, so let’s get a divorce. Chrisel took out the divorce agreement from Yunwushu’s drawer and wanted to write her own name on it.
"Don't!" Yun Wushu's hands were faster than his brain. He quickly pressed the signature position on the agreement, his voice trembling slightly.
"Don't?" Chriselle sneered, a hint of sarcasm in her tone. "Haven't you wanted me to leave a long time ago? Haven't you been determined to break up with me completely? It's too late to say goodbye now!"
Yunwushu opened his mouth, but no sound came out.
His hand was still tightly holding the agreement, as if he was grasping at the last straw.
Tears slid down his cheeks and landed on the table, making it wet.
He looked at Yun Wushu's tearful face, and his heart was suddenly filled with mixed emotions. "Oh, right, I forgot to tell you, if you die, I won't live either. I have no one at home anyway. What do you think?"
Yun Wushu could only shake his head desperately. He had already prepared the divorce agreement, but he had never taken it out because he didn't want to.
"I..." Yun Wushu finally spoke, but his voice was trembling slightly, "I don't want to chase you away... I just..."
"You're just what?" Kristel took a step closer, her tone aggressive. "Are you afraid that I'll see you weak? Afraid that you'll get worse day by day? Or are you afraid that I'll take away your last bit of pride?"
Yun Wushu put her arms around his waist and pressed her cheek against him, "I'm sorry, brother. I know I was wrong. I don't want to leave, and I don't want to die."
The voice became sobbing because of crying.
When Chrisel saw him like this, the anger in her heart was suppressed little by little, and was replaced by an indescribable bitterness.
He dropped his pen, reached out and grasped Yun Wushu's wrist, whispering, "What are you afraid of? Can't you just speak properly? Or do you think I'm not even qualified to face this with you?"
When Yun Wushu heard this, tears couldn't stop falling from his eyes.
He gritted his teeth and choked out his words, "I'm afraid... I'm afraid you'll see me die, I'm afraid you'll be sad for me, I'm afraid you'll never be able to live as carefree and happy as before! Chriselle, I don't have many months left... I don't want to burden you!"
When Chriselle heard this, she froze in place.
He stared at Yun Wushu's face, as if he was really seeing this person clearly for the first time.
He was silent for a moment, then he pulled Yun Wushu's hand hard, his voice low and firm: "Drag me down? Do you think that if you do this, I will be happy? I will accept it calmly? Yun Wushu, if you want to die, it's your business, but don't joke with my feelings! I don't need your 'fulfillment', I just want you."
Yun Wushu's body trembled slightly, and tears in his eyes blurred his vision.
He had never heard Chriselle speak to him in such a tone, angry yet affectionate, blaming yet tolerant.
"Do you think I can let go if you leave me?" Chrisel's voice grew deeper and deeper, like a heavy hammer hitting Yun Wushu's heart. "Even if you die, I will dig you out and scold you.
If you dare say anything that would burden me again, I will take our marriage certificate to your grave and read it to you every day!"
Yunwushu cried even harder and tried to cover her face, but Chriselle pulled her away.
"Don't cry." Chrisel sighed, pulled him into her arms, and hugged him tightly. He whispered, "Is crying useful? If it were useful, I would have cried a long time ago. Yunwushu, you are not allowed to die. If you die, I will hate you for the rest of my life."
Yunwushu leaned on Chrisel's shoulder and cried like a baby.
His hands tightly grasped Chrisel's clothes, as if at this moment, he had finally removed all disguises and defenses.
"I'm sorry..." he choked, "I'm really scared... I don't know what to do..."
"You don't need to know." Kristel patted his back gently, her voice softening. "You just need to know that I will be with you. Even if the sky falls, I won't let you face it alone."
Outside the study, Cheng Yu stood by the door, listening silently to the conversation inside.
"Wow, tsk tsk tsk, I didn't know his acting was so good. I couldn't help but want to applaud." Bai Lishu appeared out of nowhere with a look of emotion on his face.
Cheng Yu shook his head. It was not a good acting at all. Chrisel was really gambling with his life, Yun Wushu's feelings for him, and his bottom line.
Yunwushu leaned tightly in Chrisel's arms, as if afraid that he would lose this warm haven if he let go.
His tears soaked Chriselle's clothes, but Chriselle didn't care. She just hugged him tightly, as if she wanted to embed him into her body.
Han Xiaobao and Han Chu beside them touched their noses awkwardly. Ah, this...
Is this what young love is?
Chrisel's hand gently patted Yunwushu's back, comforting him.
His voice was much softer than before. "Okay, stop crying. If you cry like this, I'm really going to doubt whether I'm being too harsh."
Yun Wushu raised her head from his arms, her eyes were red and her nose felt a little sore.
"Ahem." Han Xiaobao coughed twice. "Well, I'll go discuss the surgery with the old man first. It would be best if the medical staff can cooperate."
I heard that rich and powerful people all have their own medical teams, and these two kids should have one too.
