80? Enjoyment

80 Pleasure

◎If you choose a good man, you will feel like a god◎

The man looked at the fried black thing in front of him, swallowed it in one gulp without saying anything, and then drank a big mouthful of white porridge. Suddenly, his face changed.

This porridge is not ordinary salty.

Shu Yao saw that he looked unhappy and asked him what was wrong. He shook his head. Seeing that everyone had finished eating, he stood up and took the initiative to clear the dishes on the table.

Ji Shijing had just finished his porridge when the bowl in his hand was taken away by the man at lightning speed. He was stunned for a moment, looked up at the person in front of him, and frowned slightly.

Shu Yao was happy. This man was quite perceptive and seemed to be diligent.

When the man came out after washing the dishes, he saw Shu Yao sitting at the round table eating melon seeds. He wiped the water from his hands and stood there, not knowing what to do for a moment.

Shu Yao saw him come out and waved for him to come over.

The man sat opposite her obediently.

She coughed lightly and pushed the melon seeds in front of him: "These fried melon seeds are very fragrant, you should try it."

The man shook his head. He didn't like it.

Shu Yao continued to eat until all the melon seeds in her hand were gone. She patted the crumbs on her clothes and met the man's eyes. "What's your name?"

After all, the other party is a stranger, and she has to find out the situation.

The man was stunned, lowered his head silently and did not answer.

Shu Yao held her forehead and asked again, "Where do you live? Why did you come to our village?"

The men were all silent.

Shu Yao stood up and said to him directly: "If you don't want to tell me, please get out. I won't take in someone with unknown origins."

The man looked up in astonishment, a flash of panic in his eyes. He stood up, licked his dry lips, looked around, and found that there was still a lot of unchopped firewood in the yard. He walked over, picked up the axe and started to work.

Shu Yao wanted to talk to him again, but seeing the way and speed with which he chopped wood, she shut up.

The man quickly chopped the firewood that had been piled there for half a month.

Shu Yao suddenly felt that having one more laborer wouldn't be a bad idea.

She asked his name again without giving up.

The man walked up to her, looked her straight in the eyes, and then pointed to his head to indicate that he couldn't remember clearly.

Shu Yao was puzzled. Could it be that this person had lost his memory? "You really don't remember anything at all?"

He nodded.

Shu Yao sighed. When they first met, he was lying in a dilapidated temple, half dead. She never expected that he could survive in the dilapidated temple for two months by himself. It was truly a miracle.

She turned around and asked Ji Shijing, who was shelling beans in the yard, "Ah Jing, what day is it today?"

Ji Shijing looked at her sullenly and replied in a cold voice, "Twelve."

Shu Yao smiled and said to the man, "You don't remember your own name, and I can't keep calling you 'hey hey hey'. I'll just call you Twelve."

The man was stunned, then nodded.

Seeing that he had been silent, Shu Yao couldn't help but ask, "I haven't heard you say a word until now. Are you..." She didn't say the word "mute".

The man knew what she meant, pointed to his throat, and then made a cross gesture.

She understood everything now. Not only had this man lost his memory, but he was also mute. She let him stay for the time being, but there were some things she had to tell him: "I don't keep idle people here. I usually fetch water, chop wood, cook and wash dishes..." She looked up at him halfway through her words.

The man tactfully picked up the broom and started sweeping the floor.

Shu Yao was very satisfied.

Ji Shi finished peeling the edamame in the clean basin and fell into deep thought. She had only spoken two sentences to him the whole morning and her attention was all on that wild man.

It’s really good.

He pursed his lips and used some force with his calloused fingertips. The edamame in his hand was crushed into pieces, and light green juice flowed down through his fingers.

Shu Yao saw that two people were working in the yard, and she didn't want to be idle, so she picked up a small hoe and planned to go to the mountain to take a look.

At this time, Yang Xiuhe pushed the door open with a smile on her face and said, "Sister Yao, look what I brought you."

Then he handed her the thing in his hand.

Shu Yao took it and looked at it. It turned out to be green leaf rice cake. Jiang Fu had just given her some a few days ago. The rice cake was coated with brown sugar, then wrapped in green leaves and steamed in a pot. The taste was extremely fragrant.

"Thank you, Auntie." She thanked her politely and gave Yang Xiuhe a piece of pork belly she had bought yesterday.

Yang Xiuhe refused with her mouth, but took it honestly with her hands.

She glanced at Twelve who was working, and scanned him up and down. She tutted twice, then moved closer to Shu Yao and grabbed a handful of melon seeds from the table and started to eat them. "Did you really keep this man?"

"Let him go once his injury heals," Shu Yao said.

Yang Xiuhe smiled meaningfully: "This man is handsome, no worse than your brother-in-law."

Shu Yao laughed dryly twice.

Yang Xiuhe spat out the melon seed shells, looked at the man's clothes that were too short, and said to Shu Yao: "Why don't you go and buy him two pieces of cloth to make him a new set of clothes? Look at how short his clothes are now."

Shu Yao originally just wanted to give him a place to live and a meal, but seeing how diligent he was, she thought that making clothes wouldn't cost much, and the clothes would fit him well and he would be more efficient.

After saying hello to Ji Shijing, she and Yang Xiuhe went to the village's textile lady's house.

After they left, only Ji Shijing and Twelve were left in the yard.

Twelve saw that the water tank was empty and was about to use the bucket to fill it, but the bucket was held by another hand. He looked up and saw Ji Shijing staring at him coldly.

Out of man's instinct, he felt that Ji Shijing didn't like him.

He let go of his hand.

Ji Shijing went out carrying a bucket of water.

After everyone left, he sat on the doorstep, took out the wolf fang hanging around his neck, and rubbed it gently. The fang was very large, but the teeth were not sharp and the edges had been smoothed out.

The man looked towards the north with a calm and long gaze.

He just sat there on the doorstep for a long time.

When choosing fabrics in the clothing store, Shu Yao picked two cheap sets of clothes. It would be fine if she had something to wear, and there was no need for expensive ones. Besides, she was not very rich, and she had spent half of the money she earned in the capital. That was why she thought of reclaiming the two acres of wasteland on the mountain and growing some vegetables. She could then sell them at the market and earn some money.

When the embroiderer asked about the size, she suddenly realized that she should have brought Twelve.

But Yang Xiuhe next to her directly quoted several large sizes.

Shu Yao was a little worried that the size might be too big.

Yang Xiuhe said to her: "Don't worry, sister-in-law has seen more men than you have eaten. As for the man in your family, I can tell at a glance."

After Xiuniang wrote down all the information, she asked, "What size underwear do you want?"

As soon as these words were spoken, Shu Yao blushed immediately. How could she know?

Yang Xiuhe covered her mouth and chuckled beside her, saying casually, "That young man is big, you can just do it as big as possible." Then La Shuyao sat down next to her and said to herself, "Sister Yao, you and your sister-in-law really share the same suffering."

"I was married for only a year when my sickly husband passed away. It was such a pity that I became a widow at such a young age. I have been widowed for more than ten years. It was so lonely."

"But at least I've tasted the pleasure of a man. Unlike you, my sister, your husband died of illness right after you got married. Tell me, what's the big deal about that?"

Shu Yao didn't know how to answer her, so she could only laugh awkwardly.

Yang Xiuhe patted the back of her hand and said earnestly: "Sister Yao, as long as you choose the right man, the feeling will be like being in heaven."

Shu Yao understood and her face turned red.

Yang Xiuhe teased, "The man in your family is muscular and, in my opinion, he's quite a strong man. Now that your in-laws are gone, why do you still want to be a widow?" If her parents and in-laws hadn't been here, she would have found another good man long ago.

Shu Yao felt that she was getting more and more outrageous, and hurriedly stopped her: "Sister-in-law, don't say such things."

Yang Xiuhe snorted, "Sister Yao, just listen to your sister-in-law. Try to understand it first. Once you have tasted it, you will understand."

Shu Yao didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Yang Xiuhe really loves to match people up randomly. How could she and Twelve be together? It's a zero-probability event.

She waved her hand, signaling Yang Xiuhe to stop talking.

When they went out, Shu Yao saw a piece of floating brocade hanging at the door. She couldn't help but touch it. The silk was smooth and should be very comfortable to wear. She tore off a piece of the cloth and planned to make a summer dress for Ji Shijing.

Yang Xiuhe was beside her and reached out to touch the cloth: "This material is not cheap. What kind of clothes are you planning to make, sister Yao?"

Shu Yao smiled and said, "Sister-in-law, let me give you one." Although Yang Xiuhe looked a little unreliable, she was a warm-hearted person and would help her with some small favors on weekdays, which she kept in mind.

Yang Xiuhe's face was filled with surprise. She looked at Shu Yao expectantly: "Really?"

Shu Yao smiled and nodded.

Yang Xiuhe thought for a moment, put down the cloth she loved so much, and picked up the slightly cheap coarse cloth next to it: "This is it."

Shu Yao saw that she liked this Fuduanjin and put it back in her hand: "Sister-in-law, just take this. I think this fabric suits you very well. It will look great on you."

Yang Xiuhe was a little embarrassed: "This is too expensive."

Shu Yao smiled and said, "Sister-in-law, you helped me a lot when I first returned to Dongping Village. I remember it all. This piece of cloth is not a valuable item. Sister-in-law, please don't refuse it."

Having said that, Yang Xiuhe couldn't refuse. She nodded gratefully: "Thank you, sister Yao."

Shu Yao pulled out two pieces of floating brocade, and together with the previous two sets, there were four sets of clothes in total. The embroiderer asked her to come and pick them up in two days.

On the way back, Yang Xiuhe held Shu Yao's hand affectionately.

When they reached the ridge of the field, they found Jiang He and Ji Bao playing in the field. Shu Yao stopped and called out, "Xiao He."

Seeing that it was her, Jiang He ran over happily: "Sister, why are you here?"

"Come and make two sets of clothes."

Jibao came over, opened his hands and asked Shuyao for candy.

Shu Yao squatted down and gently touched his head: "Sister didn't bring any candy today, can you give it to Jibao next time?

Jibao pouted and went to play in the mud over there angrily.

Shu Yao asked Jiang He: "Why are you taking him out to play? Where is Mr. Ji?"

Jiang He: "Mr. Ji went up the mountain to pick vegetables. I'll watch over him for a while."

Yang Xiuhe stood aside. Jibao ran to her again and asked for candy. Yang Xiuhe took out a handful of melon seeds from her sleeve and gave it to him: "Go play somewhere else."

Jibao didn't know how to eat melon seeds, so he stuffed them all into his mouth. Jiang He hurried over to stop him and asked him to spit out all the seeds.

Yang Xiuhe stood aside with her arms folded: "Sister He, you really care about this little fool."

Jiang He was busy helping Ji Bao pick the melon seeds out of his throat and ignored her words.

Yang Xiuhe sighed and jokingly said, "Sister He, I've noticed you've been visiting Ji Liang's house quite frequently lately. Are you interested in Ji Liang?"

Jiang He felt guilty.

Shu Yao immediately said, "Xiao He just wants to play with Ji Bao."

Yang Xiuhe smiled and said nothing more.

Shu Yao asked Jiang He to come to her house for dinner tonight. She had just bought some meat in town a few days ago, and today she planned to show off her cooking skills in making boiled pork slices.

Jiang He agreed.

The sun had already set. Shu Yao returned home and saw two men standing back to back in the yard. One was busy tidying up the firewood pile, and the other was busy picking vegetables. Neither of them paid any attention to each other.
