Chapter 27 Pei Changfeng is not good enough, that is another matter
Su Wanwan was still taking medicine, and Pei Changfeng was also still taking medicine. The two of them were like a medicine jar, and Su Wanwan insisted on pulling Pei Changfeng to clink glasses.
"Husband, do you think we are unlucky this year?" Su Wanwan tasted the medicine and felt sick. She quickly stuffed a candy into her mouth and said, "It's okay. It will be fine next year. There are only six months until the New Year."
Hearing her words, Pei Changfeng always felt that there was a childlike innocence in them, "Yes, just wait until next year."
The evening breeze was gentle, Xiao Xiao leaned her head on Su Wan Wan's knees intimately, Pei Changfeng frowned, "Xiao Xiao, come here."
Su Wanwan pushed Xiao Xiao and said, "Go, your father is calling you."
Pei Changfeng was still not used to having a dog as his father. He kept silent with a sullen face and asked Xiao Xiao to go out with him. "I'm going to take food to uncle."
"Go." Seeing Pei Changfeng bringing a bowl of rice over, Su Wanwan moved around in the yard for a while, then boiled some water and prepared to take a shower and go to bed.
Uncle Pei's house was visibly dilapidated. Weeds grew in front of the door and the food in the house had been eaten by rats. The house was messy and smelly.
Pei Changfeng brought Xiaoxiao, the big dog, into the house. He looked around the yard and walked straight into the house.
Uncle Pei was hiding under the bed. When he heard Pei Changfeng coming in, he didn't even dare to breathe, but was still bitten by Xiaoxiao and dragged out.
Seeing the dog, Uncle Pei began to kowtow to Pei Changfeng. He whimpered and admitted his fault. Pei Changfeng smiled and poured the rice into the broken bowl on the ground, "Eat, Uncle."
Xiaoxiao growled twice, and Uncle Pei quickly grabbed the food with his hands and started to gobble it up.
He was afraid of Pei Changfeng, afraid of this madman! No normal person would do such a thing to his uncle!
After he finished eating, Pei Changfeng took out a bamboo stick and skillfully cut a thin piece of meat from Uncle Pei's leg, then threw it into the little mouth.
But this time his movements were a little hesitant. After Xiaoxiao finished eating, he washed his hands and took Xiaoxiao out, not forgetting to wipe Xiaoxiao's mouth.
Xiaoxiao looked at him with doubt, after all, she had never enjoyed such treatment before.
Pei Changfeng patted the little head and sighed, "Let's go home."
Su Wanwan was boiling water when the man and the dog returned home.
Pei Changfeng nodded. Seeing that there was a lot of hot water in the pot, he filled a basin with some soap beans, rolled up his sleeves and prepared to give Xiaoxiao a bath.
Xiaoxiao hummed reluctantly twice and stayed beside Su Wanwan, unwilling to move.
Pei Changfeng felt that bringing Xiaoxiao back was a wrong choice. He said in a deep voice, "Xiaoxiao, come here."
Its little ears drooped, and it squatted on the ground, looking hopeless and letting Pei Changfeng give it a bath.
Looking at the harmonious scene of man and dog, Su Wanwan sighed and felt bad. In fact, she was still feeling upset. Which woman could accept that she would not be able to have children in the future?
It was still early, and Xiaoxiao splashed water everywhere after taking a bath. Su Wanwan loved it and played with it for a long time before washing up and going into the house.
The couple lay on the bed, looking at each other in silence.
Pei Changfeng spoke first, "I'll ask a carpenter to make another bed tomorrow."
"Why do you want to make another bed? It's going to be cold soon, and it's only warmer if we sleep next to each other."
Su Wanwan covered her ears, not wanting to hear what he said. She buried her head in the quilt, but came out again after a while because she felt too hot.
She moved around, and Pei Changfeng was used to it. He was just about to wait for her to calm down before continuing to talk when he heard her suddenly say "Ouch".
"My heart hurts so much!" Su Wanwan's breathing became rapid.
Pei Changfeng turned over quickly, "Don't move."
Su Wanwan groaned with a pale face, "My husband, my heart hurts."
"Get up, let's go see the doctor!"
Pei Changfeng's sleeves were caught, Su Wanwan blinked her big eyes and looked at him, "Just rub it for me, it won't hurt if you rub it."
She seemed to be in real pain. Her lip was bitten and red. Pei Changfeng was worried that she had the sequelae of drinking rat poison. He pressed her heart with a finger and asked, "Does it hurt here?"
Su Wanwan said, "Hmm," "It hurts."
Her eyelashes were stained with moonlight, and Pei Changfeng's thoughts went back to the day when Su Wanwan was in the clinic. His heart was wrenched and he massaged her.
He only used two fingers, and seeing that Su Wanwan was still crying out in pain, he slowly increased the number to three.
When his big palm completely covered him, Pei Changfeng felt a completely different touch. He suddenly retracted his hand, and his breathing rose and fell violently.
Su Wanwan pulled his sleeve pitifully, "Husband, it hurts."
Sweat broke out on Pei Changfeng's forehead. He adjusted his breathing, then grabbed Su Wanwan's hand, covered her hand and rubbed it for her.
Su Wanwan's eyes gradually became hazy, and she felt a little strange. She couldn't help but grab Pei Changfeng's hand, "Husband, it's hot."
Her voice sounded like it was mixed with honey, so sickening it was scary.
The sweat that slid down Pei Changfeng's forehead wet Su Wanwan's collar.
My breath became hot without me noticing.
Pei Changfeng's throat rolled and he looked at Su Wanwan. She was so beautiful that she didn't seem like an mortal. Instead, she seemed like a fairy.
His eyes fell on those red and fragrant lips, and an idea in his mind told him to look away quickly, but he was reluctant.
Slowly, the lips got closer and closer to him. When Su Wanwan's lips touched his, Pei Changfeng's pupils were full of shock and he left in a hurry.
"Husband?" Su Wanwan called him in a soft voice, hooked her two lotus-like arms around his neck, and kissed him again.
Pei Changfeng shamefully felt lustful. He dodged almost in a panic and sat up.
They looked at each other in silence again.
Pei Changfeng suddenly groaned. It turned out that Su Wanwan was so angry that she kicked him. "I've never seen a couple like this."
She was angry, and Pei Changfeng was speechless. He fell asleep with his back to her.
Su Wanwan couldn't help but push him again, and after a while she calmed down, "Forget it, you're not in good health, I won't bother with you."
Her anger dissipated quickly, and Pei Changfeng didn't feel so good. He waited until Su Wanwan fell asleep before he got up and went outside to wash.
The sky is not bright today and it looks like it is going to rain.
Su Wanwan was just wondering whether to kill the duck and make soup when Aunt Li brought over a bowl of shredded beans.
"Bean shreds?" Su Wanwan's eyes lit up. "Auntie, are you serving this to me?"
Aunt Li laughed, "If I don't give it to you, who else can I give it to?"
Aunt Li felt sorry for Pei Changfeng and Su Wanwan, and took good care of them. She would send over some of the vegetables she grew and the food she cooked at home.
Seeing Pei Changfeng carrying water, Aunt Li was very pleased, "That's good, Changfeng is getting better, and life will be better in the future."
Pei Tieniu passed by and saw someone in the house, so he came in as well, "Changfeng family, didn't you say you would introduce me to a wife?"
Su Wanwan smiled shyly, "I'll ask my mother tomorrow and she will definitely find you a good girl."
The villagers are all good people. There are no grudges that cannot be resolved, and most of them help each other.
After seeing off Aunt Li and Pei Tieniu, Su Wanwan went to the field to pick leeks, planning to stir-fry them with shredded beans for lunch.
Pei Changfeng is not picky and has no objection.
The bean shreds had just been put into the pot and had not yet been fried when the rain began to fall. The yard was filled with smoke. Looking at Su Wanwan's back as she was busy in the kitchen, Pei Changfeng felt a slight swelling in his heart, a feeling of satisfaction.
Xiaoxiao picked up a toad from somewhere and pushed his paw forward to give it to Su Wanwan. Su Wanwan was so scared that she almost dropped the spatula in her hand and hurriedly asked Pei Changfeng to take Xiaoxiao away.
When the bean shreds were cooked, Su Wanwan couldn't help but scold Xiaoxiao with a spatula, "Don't eat toads anymore, do you understand?"
Xiaoxiao woofed and sat down.
Forget it, I can’t explain it to the dog.
Su Wanwan sat down to eat and saw Pei Changfeng staring at her. She was still unhappy about what happened yesterday, so she snorted and ignored him.
Whether she can give birth is one thing, and whether Pei Changfeng can do it is another. She thinks Pei Changfeng is deliberately not touching her, and is still thinking about divorcing her. Seeing that their lives are getting better and better, Su Wanwan can't let go. Even if he really can't do it, it's no big deal. She can just make up for it later.
"Bang, bang, bang"
There was a familiar knock on the door, and Su Wanwan frowned. Could it be that someone had gone to the government office to sue her again?
She thought about it and took Xiaoxiao to open the door.
When the door opened, there were no soldiers outside, but an old woman with a sharp chin and monkey cheeks rushed in as soon as the door opened and rummaged around in the house.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Su Wanwan pulled her back, "Why are you like this? Who are you to rummage around in my house?"
Mrs. Cai glared at her and asked, "Where did you hide my colorful butterfly?"
