Chapter 007 Taking Over the Sheep Herding (3/3)

"Don't worry, I understand." Si Yang responded with a smile.

Having served in the special forces for many years, how could she not know that borders are inviolable.

Seeing that she was listening intently, Vanilla continued, "Do you see that crescent island in the river? That's the disputed island! Our ancestors fished on it, but the overbearing S country insists it's theirs. In recent years, they've injured many of our compatriots, and relations between our two countries have become strained."

Si Yang frowned after hearing this. She had read about this island in a book.

If I remember correctly, a fierce war conflict will break out here at the beginning of next year.

Vanilla held her face in her hands, worried. "I don't know if there will really be a war. If it does, these sheep and horses will suffer."

After hearing Vanilla's mumbling, Si Yang thought she was silly and cute.

If a war really breaks out, shouldn't she be worried about herself and her family? But she's thinking about these sheep and horses. You can only say she's a kind and silly girl!

It was soon noon. Xiangcao unfolded the handkerchief and oil paper in her hand, took out a sticky cake and handed it to Si Yang.

"This is for you. I made it myself and it's delicious."

Si Yang looked at her with a pair of big eyes full of sincerity and a warm smile that showed a bit of cuteness.

"Thanks."

She reached out to take the sticky pancake and took a bite. It was soft, sticky and sweet. It was made of glutinous rice and red beans, and then fried in oil.

What era is it now? What are the conditions on the frontier?

Every ingredient used to make this pancake is precious, even luxurious.

When Si Yang saw that Xiangcao was just watching her eat quietly but had no intention of eating herself, she understood.

This was made especially for her.

How kind a person must be to use the best things in his home to treat a stranger in this era when people can't even get enough to eat?

"Eat more. This bread is really filling. I have more here!" Vanilla said generously.

"Actually, I brought some food with me as well. How about we take turns eating?" Si Yang raised his eyebrows mysteriously, then turned around and took out a bag of egg cakes and a big duck leg from his cloth bag.

Vanilla's eyes lit up. She didn't expect Si Yang to eat so well. Her sticky pancakes looked uglier.

"I brought these from home. I might be tired of them. They're not as delicious as your sticky pancakes. Please help me finish them..."

The two girls exchanged food. While eating the soft egg cake, Vanilla told Si Yang where to drive the sheep to so that they could have enough food.

Seeing that Si Yang had mastered the skills of herding sheep, she was about to go back to take care of her horse.

After Xiangcao left, Si Yang took out an ultra-clear telescope from the space toolbox and monitored her flock while observing the border line below.

The moment the camera moved, two familiar figures appeared in her sight.

Zooming in, isn't that Qiao Zhenggang and Chen Ziqiang?

What are these two idiots doing at the border? This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
