Si Yang gritted her teeth and tried to stay awake. If Pei Tingyu wanted to successfully remove the clips on her feet, he had to go to a well-lit place.
"Bear with it." He lowered his voice, carefully picked her up and walked towards the shelter where a faint fire was still burning.
In the dim light, Si Yang could see his taut jawline, which was clear, smooth and somewhat sharp.
It's really perfect.
If it weren't for the sharp pain in her feet, she wouldn't be able to look away.
Putting aside the emotional excitement, people simply like to see beautiful things.
Damn, my feet hurt so much that I don’t even have the mood to appreciate it.
Pei Tingyu carried Si Yang into the shelter she had dug. The ceiling of the cave had been blackened by smoke, and although there was still an unpleasant burnt smell, it was warm.
The lantern that Si Yang hung inside was still on.
"Is this the hole you dug?" Pei Tingyu asked.
"What else?"
"You're a rabbit, how can you dig holes?"
Si Yang: "..."
Please, now is not the time to talk about this, okay?
She was really about to faint.
Pei Tingyu carefully placed Si Yang in a relatively safe corner, then went outside the cave to bring in some firewood.
Si Yang had prepared the firewood during the day and piled it outside, and it came in handy now.
After Pei Tingyu lit a small bonfire, the cave finally became bright.
Only then did he turn his attention to the trap on Si Yang's foot.
He first carefully observed the clamp. Although the saw edge was sharp, fortunately the spring clamp was not too tight and should not injure the bones.
"Be patient." Pei Tingyu reminded in a low voice and started to take out the clamps.
But as soon as he touched the clamp, Si Yang let out a low cry of pain through his teeth.
"Hiss~".
Pei Tingyu raised his eyes and glanced at Si Yang's face, then quickly returned his gaze to the trap.
The bright flames danced between his slightly furrowed brows. He grasped the two ends of the trap with both hands and began to slowly exert force to both sides.
"Hiss~" Si Yang cried out in pain, and almost instinctively grabbed Pei Tingyu's muscular arm with both hands.
Pei Tingyu was as steady as a rock, gathering strength in his hands bit by bit.
He knew very well that if he didn't want to cause secondary harm to Si Yang, he had to remove the clamp quickly and efficiently in one go without any failure.
As he continued to exert force, the animal trap that was originally tightly biting was pulled out of Si Yang's flesh little by little.
Si Yang's hands trembled in pain, but he didn't make another sound.
As the veins on the back of Pei Tingyu's hand bulged, the animal trap under Si Yang's feet was opened little by little until her ankle was completely loosened.
"Okay." Pei Tingyu threw the animal trap aside and let out a low groan of pain.
"What's wrong? Did it prick you?" Si Yang stood up trembling, thinking that he was hurt by the iron teeth of a trap.
