Chapter 094: Targets Gathered (1/2)

Pei Tingyu looked at Bai Tian, who had an innocent face. Her naivety of the world made him extremely disgusted.

These people hurt him, exploited and humiliated him, and then pretended to be good people to comfort him!

He hated himself for not being strong enough to break free from the shackles of fate, but he still used up his last bit of courage to wipe out everything she gave him.

"Get out of here—"

Bai Tian ran out crying. After Pei Tingyu was severely beaten by his uncle and aunt, they finally let him go because they were afraid that someone would be killed.

From then on, he never painted in the Bai family again. Without his paintings, Bai Tian's false reputation that he had earned earlier naturally faded away.

"What are you daydreaming about?" Si Yang raised his hand and waved in front of him.

Pei Tingyu retracted his thoughts and said, "I just remembered some past events."

"What past events are worth reminiscing about like this?" Si Yang lifted his warmed feet from the bathtub.

"Let's not talk about it, it's all in the past."

Pei Tingyu avoided the topic, reached out and pulled off the towel on the back of the chair, and naturally put her feet on his legs, gently wiping the water droplets on her feet.

"You are so good at painting, who is your teacher?" Si Yang asked curiously.

When did Pei Tingyu first start painting? Perhaps it was through his grandfather's influence.

Before my grandfather joined the army when he was young, he was a professional art student.

After Pei Tingyu was ostracized as a child, he would want to write and draw on countless nights when he missed his mother.

He would draw what he had in mind, first using stones on the mud, then using charcoal on slate, from unfamiliar to proficient, from rigid to agile.

Grandpa would patiently guide him and give him professional advice.

Painting can help him calm down, express his negative emotions, and comfort his lonely inner world.

But after joining the army, he rarely painted. It was not because he didn't have time, but because he lacked the mood to paint.

But when Si Yang slapped the paper in front of him yesterday, he suddenly wanted to pick up his paintbrush again.

He was willing to paint for her.

"I have time tomorrow, and there is something I want to talk to you about." Pei Tingyu wiped her feet and picked up the slippers to put on her.

"We can talk about it now." Si Yang didn't like to let problems linger overnight.

Pei Tingyu refused in a deep voice, "If I stay here for too long, people will gossip about me. I'll take you out to talk tomorrow."

"Okay." Si Yang also wanted to talk to him about Bai Tian.

After a good night's sleep, Si Yang finally regained the complexion of a 19-year-old girl.

The sun was shining brightly in the sky, and sunlight poured down, casting mottled beams of light through the branches of the forest. The originally frozen river had regained its vitality, and the clear river water was flowing endlessly, like a jade belt stretching to the end in the distance.

Si Yang stepped on the dead leaves, one foot deep and one foot shallow, following Pei Tingyu in front of him closely.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"Don't tell me you're still afraid?" Pei Tingyu looked back at her with a wicked smile.

Si Yang rolled her eyes at him. This bastard asked her to go into the woods. Is he tired of living?

Pei Tingyu reached out and pulled her up, "It's just ahead."

A few minutes later, the two climbed up a towering rock together. Si Yang found that if he stood on the rock and looked north, he could have a bird's eye view of the border town of Country S.

Looking south, you can get a glimpse of the entire Corps.

"This is a nice place. Do you come here often?" she asked.

"Come over occasionally." Pei Tingyu said as he spread out his handkerchief on the stone. "Sit down and talk."

"What do you want to ask me?" Si Yang sat down and stretched out his legs and shook them.

Pei Tingyu didn't keep her in suspense any longer. He stood beside her, lowered his eyes and looked at her and asked, "When you went to the S Army camp, did you move all their ammunition depot?"

Si Yang paused his dangling feet and looked up at him. "It's been so long, I thought you had forgotten."

"How did you manage to carry so much ammunition by yourself? Or did you have help?" Pei Tingyu frowned in confusion.
