Qiu Xia looked at his serious expression and her heart beat like a drum.
After Qi Jingyan waited for her to sit down, he spoke in a deep voice, "Comrade Qiu Xia, I want to end our employment relationship. I was inconsiderate before, and this is indeed detrimental to your reputation."
Qiu Xia was stunned. Did Qi Jingyan not want her to take care of Mumu anymore?

"Because I enjoy being with you, Mumu is happy too. I'm thirty-one, six years older than you. I'm in good health and have no bad habits. I don't smoke and rarely drink. I live a very regular life, just going back and forth between the camp and the dormitory. I won't stay out all night unless it's absolutely necessary. If you're willing to accept me, you'll have the final say in everything at home."
Where had Qiu Xia heard such a straightforward confession before? She was completely stunned.
"You don't have to rush to reply to me. I'm willing to give you time to think about it. Whether you agree or not, I will accompany you home and solve the problems you face at home."
The only difference is that if she agrees, there is a solution, and if she refuses, there is a solution.
Qiu Xia's pupils trembled. She had known this man for almost a year. His steadiness and good manners were not fake. She even saved his life. How could she not be moved?

When the military pickup truck appeared on the small road outside the village, people at the entrance of the village stretched their necks to watch the excitement.

The car could not go any further when it reached the village entrance. After three tall soldiers got out of the car, Qiu Xia and her brother also got out.

Qi Jingyan ordered two guards to take the gifts bought for Qiu Xia's parents, and then followed the siblings to Qiu Xia's home.
The villagers along the way saw the scene of these people and thought of what the Qiu family had recently encountered, and began to tell each other.
"Isn't it said that the eldest daughter of the Qiu family is doing something dirty outside? Why is this soldier coming to propose marriage?"
