When Pei Tingyu saw his son’s expression that looked like he was about to cry, he knew that he had diarrhea again, so he quickly went to prepare water and changed his diaper.
After changing his diaper, little Yubao was tucked back into his mother's quilt and fed, and then he fell asleep with a satisfied look on his face.
At noon, Aunt Wu made black chicken stewed with red ginseng and steamed rice noodle vegetable balls for Si Yang. Both ingredients melt in the mouth, can replenish qi and blood and are good for digestion. The best decision the couple has made so far is to ask Aunt Wu to come and take care of them during the confinement period.
After Pei Tingyu had lunch with Si Yang, he had to go back to the military region for urgent matters. Aunt Wu was responsible for taking care of little Yubao so that Si Yang could rest in peace.
Si Yang thought that Aunt Wu had stayed up all night with her last night, so while Xiao Yubao was asleep, she let her sleep on the accompanying bed next to her for a while.
Aunt Wu said that she was not as sleepy as before because of her age, and insisted on keeping an eye on the child, saying that she was worried that it was unsafe in the hospital. She even gave Si Yang an example of someone who gave birth in the hospital, and the child was stolen after the adults fell asleep.
Her words once again woke Si Yang up. He should indeed be more cautious. After all, the person who wanted to kill her had not been found yet.
So, Si Yang "accidentally" ran into Annie who came to visit her while using the excuse of going to the bathroom.
After introducing Annie to Aunt Wu, she activated Annie's guard function, which would automatically protect the target person as long as it detected any abnormality.
Si Yang had just given birth and was indeed very weak. She fell asleep quickly after making sure her son was safe.
Aunt Wu started chatting with Annie enthusiastically.
"Girl, where are you from?"
"Future Technology, Beijing Headquarters."
Aunt Wu was confused. How could she never have heard of this place? Could it be Jing City?
"Do you have any brothers or sisters besides you?"
"There are three hundred of my model," Annie replied.
Aunt Wu was even more confused. Three hundred? Was her mother a pomegranate spirit?
This girl looks pretty, but there seems to be something wrong with her brain.
Can such a silly girl really take good care of a child? But she couldn't say anything.
Aunt Wu remained calm and just concentrated on keeping a close eye on the child.
But she didn't know what was going on. After staring for less than twenty minutes, she felt her eyelids getting heavier and heavier.
She lasted less than five minutes before collapsing onto the accompanying bed and falling into a deep sleep.
Footsteps were heard from far away in the corridor, and stopped outside Si Yang's ward.
After the door opened, two doctors, a man and a woman, in white coats came in from outside.
The two of them quickly glanced at the unconscious Aunt Wu and were not surprised at all. Instead, they pulled open the curtain beside Si Yang's bed and picked up the child.
But what they didn't expect was that instead of getting the child, they saw a sober girl sitting behind the curtain.
And the child in the girl's arms was the child they were looking for.
After exchanging a complicated look, the two immediately said to Annie, "We are here to take the child to get vaccinated. Please leave the child to us?" After the woman said that, she reached out to take Yubao from Annie's arms.
But Annie had no intention of handing the child over to them. The two knew that time was limited and they could not delay. Since the girl refused to accept their toast, they had no choice but to use force.
The man stepped forward and chopped the side of Annie's neck with a knife, but the expected fainting did not happen, and the girl's face did not show any emotion.
The man shook his numb palms, as if the palm strike just now was not directed at her.
Seeing this, the woman next to her took advantage of Annie's attention being on the man, immediately went to the side, took out the syringe, pointed the needle at Annie's neck and stabbed it hard.
However, the next second, she retracted her hand and bent the needle tip into a question mark, and her face changed drastically.
Just as she was wondering what Anne's neck was made of, she felt herself being lifted up.
The next moment, two large holes were smashed in the ward's glass window, and the two were thrown into the corridor one after another... This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
