Yu Zhiyin looked at the scrutinizing eyes around her and she really wanted to disappear right there.
Si Yang was the first to stand up and ease the awkwardness: "Lady, thank you for bringing my son here. I see the other tables are full. Why don't you sit at our table? We happen to have room here."
After she finished speaking, she gestured to Pei Tingyu and Qin Shiyan to move aside. Yu Zhiyin hesitated. She was indeed delayed because of the research institute's affairs, so when she rushed over, there was almost no room left.
"Second aunt, please sit next to my second uncle!" Yu Bao enthusiastically pulled Yu Zhiyin forward.
Is this the legendary second uncle? Yu Zhiyin glanced at Qin Shiyan curiously.
He had neat short black hair, wore a white shirt and a business vest, had broad shoulders and a straight back, and did not look like a sloppy old man.
Just as she was looking up and down at Qin Shiyan's back, Qin Shiyan turned around and reminded Yu Bao, "Yu Xiu, don't shout nonsense."
When he looked away, his gaze still met Yu Zhiyin's. The noble and elegant face of the man in front of him made Yu Zhiyin's breath stop.
I didn’t expect that this little guy didn’t lie. This second uncle is really handsome.
When their eyes met, they quickly looked away.
At Si Yang and Yu Bao's request, Yu Zhiyin still sat next to Qin Shiyan.
Si Yang chatted with Yu Zhiyin for a while and learned that she was a researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Physics of the Agricultural and Forestry College and also Xia He's cousin.
After hearing this, Si Yang sighed softly, "Maybe there's a chance. They're both researchers, one studying how to eat enough, the other how to go to the sky. If they get together, wouldn't it be like eating enough so they can go to the sky?"
Pei Tingyu, who was standing by, heard Si Yang's muttering clearly. He also felt that the two people wearing glasses looked quite similar together.
Several onlookers were speculating about the possibility of the two being together, but the two parties had no intention of communicating at all.
Qin Shiyan ate seriously, without looking away, and occasionally picked up a piece of food for Yu Bao with his chopsticks.
Yu Zhiyin, however, put all her thoughts on Xiao Youbao and Xiao Ningbao. She was so busy entertaining the two children that she didn't even enjoy the banquet anymore.
"Comrade Si Yang, how old are they? They're so beautiful. Can I touch their faces?"
Si Yang smiled and said, "They are one year and three months old..."
"Second aunt, can you please touch my second uncle's face? He's already old and still hasn't married. It's really pitiful..."
"Ahem..." Qin Shiyan looked at Yu Bao's sympathetic eyes and almost choked to death on a mouthful of meatball soup.
Yu Zhiyin quickly took out a handkerchief and handed it to him, "It's clean, wipe it..."
Qin Shiyan was about to refuse when he suddenly remembered that he had used his handkerchief to wipe Xiao Youbao's urine.
"Thank you." He took it anyway.
Yu Zhiyin smiled and said, "You're welcome."
The two of them didn't make much eye contact, but she saw a hint of red on his ears.
During the wedding banquet, Yu Zhiyin had already become familiar with the two little dumplings. It was so enjoyable to pinch their chubby little hands and feet that people could not let go.
"Comrade Yu likes children so much, are you married?" Si Yang asked.
Yu Zhiyin shook her head generously, "The work at the research institute was very busy, so it was delayed for a few years."
Si Yang expressed her understanding. She looked at Qin Shiyan meaningfully, but Qin Shiyan pretended to be deaf and blind and was only concerned with feeding Yu Bao.
These two seem to like children, but if they were together, they probably wouldn't have time for children.
Because having children is a waste of time for them.
Si Yang originally thought that this little farce was over with the banquet, but he never thought that this was just the beginning.
Just as everyone at the table stood up and prepared to leave, Qin Shiyan had just taken a step when Yu Zhiyin, who had just stood up, was pulled over.
She lost her balance and fell straight towards Qin Shiyan in front of her. With Qin Shiyan's physique, it was not difficult for him to support Yu Zhiyin, but he staggered and hit the stool behind him.
As a result, both of them fell down, and Yu Zhiyin fell on Qin Shiyan's chest, her forehead hitting his chin.
"Hiss..." One has a headache and the other has a toothache.
Si Yang looked at the shoelaces of the two people that were deliberately tied together, and looked at Yu Bao who was watching the show on the side, and was so angry that his lungs hurt.
The brat must have done something good while picking up the chopsticks.
"Look at what your son has done, why don't you go and pull him up?" Si Yang nudged Pei Tingyu's waist with his elbow.
Pei Tingyu smiled faintly and did not move forward.
What his son is tying is not shoelaces, it is clearly a red thread!
Yu Zhiyin's face flushed red, and she hurriedly got off the man's chest. Just as she was about to reach out to untie their shoelaces, she realized that she couldn't see clearly, and then she found that her glasses had fallen somewhere.
Qin Shiyan sat up and handed her glasses to her. "One of the lenses is broken. I'll take you to buy a new one later." He sounded apologetic.
"It's okay, I can go by myself..." Yu Zhiyin put on his glasses again, and through the broken lenses, Qin Shiyan's handsome face was split into several parts.
"Is this yours too?" Qin Shiyan picked up another antique pocket watch from the ground, the parts inside of which had been broken into pieces.
"It's mine..." Yu Zhiyin took it hurriedly, with deep heartache flashing in her eyes.
"My nephew is too naughty. I will fix it for you..." Qin Shiyan said and turned to look for Yu Bao, but Pei Tingyu's family was nowhere to be found.
Si Yang took them away immediately. Only when they were not present would Qin Shiyan have the opportunity to take responsibility for them. Maybe there would be a chance if they made contact?
Just as Si Yang expected, Qin Shiyan decided to take Yu Zhiyin to a watch and glasses store in order to compensate her for her glasses and pocket watch.
