Chapter 1079 Successful Escape

She knew that this dream would definitely come true, because she would keep working hard and striving for it!

Suddenly, on the edge of the chaotic battlefield, Xu Yuehuai's eyes widened in disbelief. She stared at the dust billowing in the distance, as wave after wave of soldiers surged forward, led by Bai Yu. His face was grim, his gaze sharp as knives, as if he wanted to slice the entire battlefield in two.

"How could this be? Why does he still have so many people?" Xu Yuehuai's voice was filled with despair and confusion. She looked around, and her allies also looked fearful. They thought the battle was over, but they didn't expect an even greater crisis to be quietly approaching.

"With so many people here, how can we possibly escape?"

"We've fallen for their trap!"

"Oh no! Could this be a setup you orchestrated?" A fellow ally's voice was filled with suspicion and tension. His gaze was fixed on Xu Yuehuai, as if searching for any trace of her guilt.

Xu Yuehuai's gaze was firm. She shook her head, her voice tinged with anger: "If I were in cahoots with Bai Yu, why would I help you? I was also deceived!" Her eyes swept over each of her allies, trying to dispel their doubts with sincere looks.

"Today, none of you will escape!"

"Those who betray me deserve to go to hell!"

However, Bai Yu's army was already close in, their iron hooves pounding the earth with a dull thud.

The soldiers' weapons gleamed in the sunlight, radiating a cold, sharp light.

Bai Yu rode a tall warhorse, brandishing his long sword, and led his army to charge towards them.

"What should we do now?"

"We are no match for these iron cavalry!"

"Why aren't you running away!"

Xu Yuehuai's allies began to panic, scattering and fleeing in all directions, trying to find a way out of Bai Yu's army.

"Calm down, we still have a chance to succeed!"

"Everyone, maintain formation and don't panic!"

"If we lose today, there will be no chance to turn things around later!"

She tried to persuade everyone to fight back, but no one listened to her. Everyone was suspicious of her and only wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.

Xu Yuehuai also joined the escape team, wandering through the palace, looking for a place to hide.

Bai Yu and his men gave chase, their footsteps echoing through the empty palace.

Xu Yuehuai's heart raced, and her breathing became rapid. She kept turning and weaving, trying to shake off her pursuers.

However, Bai Yu's army seemed to be everywhere; they appeared to have laid a trap, just waiting for Xu Yuehuai to walk right into it.

Xu Yuehuai's heart was filled with despair; she knew that she was probably in dire straits!

Run! We have to run! If we don't run, we'll have no chance of survival!

Bai Yu will never let her go!

Just then, a familiar figure appeared before her. It was one of her loyal allies, standing before a tightly closed door, her eyes gleaming with a sharp light.

"Quick! There's a secret room here where we can hide!" The ally's voice was urgent as he pushed open the door and gestured for Xu Yuehuai to go in.

Without hesitation, Xu Yuehuai rushed into the secret room. The door slammed shut behind her, shutting out the noise and pursuit outside. Leaning against the door, she listened to the footsteps fading into the distance, a sense of relief at surviving a close call welling up inside her.

"Thank you!" Xu Yuehuai said to his ally beside him.

"You're welcome. I know what happened today wasn't what you wanted," the ally sighed.

Xu Yuehuai sighed helplessly, knowing that the crisis was far from over. Bai Yu's army was still lurking outside, and they could discover the secret chamber at any moment.

She had to come up with a way to completely escape Bai Yu's pursuit!

Sitting in the secluded room, she pondered her options. She knew she had to remain calm and clear-headed to find a glimmer of hope. This crisis, though terrifying, might just be her chance to turn the tide.

Xu Yuehuai took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and began to consider her next move. She knew she couldn't sit idly by and wait for death; she had to take the initiative to survive this crisis.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the palace, Bai Yu's army continued their search for Xu Yuehuai. Their eyes were sharp as eagles, leaving no possible hiding place unchecked. However, they had no idea that Xu Yuehuai had already hidden in a place beyond their reach.

The crisis continues, and the contest between Xu Yuehuai and Bai Yu is not yet over.

...

In a corner of the palace, Bai Yu was anxiously searching for Xu Yuehuai, who was wearing a mask. He was filled with curiosity and doubt about this mysterious woman, not knowing who she was or what her purpose was. He ordered his men to quickly capture Xu Yuehuai and uncover her true identity.

However, while Bai Yu's army was heading in another direction, Xu Yuehuai secretly escaped from the secret room and disappeared like a gust of wind.

She skillfully evaded Bai Yu's pursuit and returned to her palace. She removed her mask, changed back into her original Shen Yiyi attire, and acted as if nothing had happened.

A short while later, when Bai Yu arrived with his injuries, he saw that "Chen Yiyi" was still in the palace, and he shook his head helplessly.

Although Shen Yiyi possessed some martial arts skills, she also had family members serving as officials in the imperial court. How could she possibly be so bold as to collude with the rebels?

He knew he had been tricked by this mysterious woman once again. He gave "Chen Yiyi" a deep look, then turned and left.

Xu Yuehuai opened her eyes and sat up in bed after hearing Bai Yu's footsteps. She took a deep breath, her heart filled with relief and emotion.

She knew that her successful escape was due to her wit and courage. At the same time, she also understood that her other mysterious identity had been exposed, and the road ahead would be even more difficult.

However, Xu Yuehuai knew that her mission was not yet complete, and she had to continue to bring more hope and vitality to this land!

She stood up, straightened her clothes, and then walked out of the house.

In the palace gardens, Xu Yuehuai strolled alone. She admired the beauty of the gardens, but her heart was filled with worry. She knew Bai Yu wouldn't give up; he would continue to investigate her identity. She had to be fully prepared for the dangers to come.

Just then, a familiar figure appeared in front of her.

It was Xiaoya, her personal maid, someone assigned by the transmigrator organization.

Upon seeing Xu Yuehuai, Xiaoya immediately ran over and asked with concern, "Your Highness, are you alright? I heard His Majesty came here; did he notice anything unusual about you?"
