Chapter 1595 Entering the Auction House

The five of them waited until nightfall, and when they went out again, they had all changed their clothes and dressed in a way that was not conspicuous. Of course, except for Fu Ziyi, who was wearing a bright red robe and holding a fan in his hand, which he waved slowly and deliberately. No matter how you looked at him, he was incredibly alluring.

The others just watched his flamboyant behavior. Baili Xiuwen couldn't bear to look and simply turned his head away. Usually, he would stand next to Fu Ziyi, but today he unusually walked to Pu Erge's side. Xu Yuehuai looked at him with a hint of disdain, and Pu Erge rolled his eyes at him speechlessly. Only Ji Yuanchi pointed at his clothes and praised, "Wow, you are so brave to make such a bold attempt! And it looks really good!"

Fu Ziyi's expression shifted from gloomy to cheerful, and he waved his fan as if to say, "That's certainly true. Would you like to try it? I can let you try it with me, what do you say?"

Ji Yuanchi's eyes lit up, and she was about to agree the next second when Xu Yuehuai immediately said, "We shouldn't be too conspicuous going out today. Hurry up and change the clothes you're wearing. You have two minutes. If you're not changed by then, you don't need to go."

Xu Yuehuai's tone was unquestionable. Fu Ziyi looked back every few steps, and each time he turned around, he could see Xu Yuehuai's cold and hard face. In the end, in order to go out with them, he had no choice but to change out of his red clothes and into the same gray robes as them.

Because of this, Fu Ziyi was sullen the whole way.

Xu Yuehuai ignored them and the group arrived at the place where they had bought the tokens during the day. The place that the token seller had pointed to earlier was now brightly lit, with candlelight on both walls that stretched all the way to the innermost part. The candlelight served both as a guide and a deception, as the light was too dazzling for them to see what lay beyond the alley.

Xu Yuehuai walked in front, reminding those behind to be careful. They hadn't walked far when they reached the first corner. After walking a short distance, they saw a large black gate. The gate exuded an ancient and mysterious aura that inspired awe and reverence. Even Ji Yuanchi, who had grown up in the Pu family, couldn't help but marvel at the aura emanating from the gate.

Two people stood guard at the entrance, dressed in black, just like the setup in the previous colosseum. They wore robes that covered their entire bodies, and masks that obscured their faces.

As Xu Yuehuai and the others approached, the two stopped them, saying, "Token."

Xu Yuehuai took out the tokens he had prepared beforehand, showed them to the two of them, and then let them pass.

Once inside, Ji Yuanchi muttered to herself, "I thought the token that person was selling was fake, just a scam, but it turns out it was real!"

It's really not her fault; after all, that person didn't seem like a good person at all.

After they entered, they were led to their seats by a waiter. Before entering, they had to register. Xu Yuehuai observed that each person who entered was greeted by a dedicated waiter, and the service here could be considered top-notch.

"Gentlemen, please come with me. Your seats are here." The waiter led the group to their seats in the lobby.

Fu Ziyi glanced at it disdainfully, "Who are those private rooms for? Can we go in?"

The waiter didn't show any unusual expression upon hearing this. Instead, he patiently explained, "Those seats up there are reserved for the guests of our Huangtian Auction House owner."

The waiter wore a perfectly timed smile. Fu Ziyi was displeased, but there was nothing he could do, as he didn't know the owner of the auction house.

The five people resignedly sat in the hall. There were at least several hundred seats, and as time went by, many people were already seated, and the place began to get noisy. Fu Ziyi frowned, a sense of irritation rising in his heart. He tried to suppress this emotion, but still said to Xu Yuehuai with a wronged look, "They are so noisy. Why do they keep talking?"

Xu Yuehuai glanced at him inexplicably. When she noticed that Fu Ziyi's expression was a bit off, she was puzzled. Before she could answer Fu Ziyi's question, the person sitting behind her responded first.

"If you think we're too noisy, then spend a hundred high-grade spirit stones to go to a private room. You're all broke, so what are you pretending for!" The person behind them was not one to be trifled with; upon hearing Fu Ziyi's words, he felt they were being insulted.

Fu Ziyi didn't even spare them a glance, her eyes fixed on Xu Yuehuai. She coughed lightly, warning Fu Ziyi to behave herself, "If you have spirit stones, you can do this."

Having received permission, Fu Ziyi, like a wild horse, summoned the attendant who had served them earlier. The attendant was a woman dressed in the auction house's uniform, and she looked at Fu Ziyi with a smile, "What are your orders, young master?"

"Upgrade us to a private room!" he said, pulling out a heavy bag.

The waiter was stunned for a moment, then took the bag from his hand and glanced at it. The pile of high-grade spirit stones inside was dazzling. "This...this..."

"What's wrong? Is it not enough?" Fu Ziyi lazily lifted his eyelids.

The waiter immediately denied it, "No, no! That's enough, everyone, please come with me!"

The waiter suppressed his excitement and led Xu Yuehuai and the other four away. The person who had spoken earlier had an unpredictable expression on his face, turning from black to white, then from white to green.

The people around watched the spectacle with amusement, and their gazes toward the man became mocking.

The waiter led them up to the second floor, which was for those who paid to upgrade to private rooms. The third floor was the same floor Fu Ziyi had just asked about. The first thing he noticed when he entered was that room, because it was very large and had a wide view.

"This is your private room. I'll be waiting outside. If you need anything, just press the bell next to me and I'll come in." The waiter spoke to them with her back slightly bent and her knees hunched over. To outsiders, it looked pathetic, but what they didn't know was that she would get two commissions from those one hundred high-grade spirit stones. That was her entire year's wages here!

The attendant serving them was called Xiaozhi, which was what Xu Yuehuai and the others called her. She was just the lowest-ranking envoy in this auction, earning only a few hundred low-grade spirit stones each month.

Upon entering the room, Fu Ziyi immediately felt that all the noise had disappeared, and the irritability in his heart finally subsided considerably. He sighed comfortably, lay down on the chair next to him, and felt quite at ease.

Xu Yuehuai and Pu Erge sat upright on the stools, with a table beside them displaying various fruits.

Ji Yuanchi surveyed the interior, which could be seen at a glance, but all the equipment used was top-notch. She exclaimed, "This auction house is quite willing to spend money."
