Xu Yuehuai's gaze was firm; she knew her responsibility was heavy and she could not afford to be negligent in the slightest.
"Find the Prince's whereabouts immediately!" Xu Yuehuai's voice was firm and powerful, as if an invisible force was propelling her forward. "We absolutely cannot let anything happen to him!"
The guards responded in unison and then quickly disappeared into the darkness. Their figures moved silently through every corner of the palace like ghosts.
Bei Xuan stood to the side, her face pale, her hands clasped tightly together, as if praying for Qi Guze's safety.
Her eyes were filled with worry and anxiety, as if the whole world was weighing on her shoulders. She paced back and forth, seemingly searching for a way out, yet unable to shake off the fear and unease within her.
Xu Yuehuai and Xia Sen were busy analyzing clues, with various documents and maps laid out in front of them.
They meticulously examined every detail, trying to find traces of Qi Guze. Their expressions were focused and serious, as if the whole world had stood still.
Every moment was filled with tension and anxiety, but Xu Yuehuai and Xia Sen remained calm and rational.
Just as they were lost in thought, a series of hurried footsteps broke the silence of the palace. A guard rushed in, a hint of joy on his face.
"Found him!" he shouted. "The prince is in a very secluded courtyard. He is unconscious and has not woken up for a long time."
Xu Yuehuai and Xia Sen immediately perked up, quickly standing up with sharp glints in their eyes.
Bei Xuan also heard the news, and a relieved smile appeared on her face, as if a heavy burden had finally been lifted from her heart.
"Act immediately!" Xu Yuehuai commanded decisively. "We must ascertain the Prince's safety as soon as possible!"
The guards responded in unison and then quickly disappeared into the darkness. Xu Yuehuai, Xia Sen, and Bei Xuan followed closely behind. They passed through winding corridors and hidden passages, finally arriving at the front of the secret courtyard.
The door was tightly shut, but Xu Yuehuai could feel the heavy and despairing atmosphere emanating from within. She took a deep breath and then suddenly pushed the door open.
The room was dimly lit, and only the figure of Qi Guze lying on the bed could be vaguely discerned. His face was as pale as a sheet of paper, lifeless.
A stifling silence filled the air, as if even breathing became a cautious act.
Xu Yuehua rushed to the bedside, leaned down anxiously, and asked in a trembling voice, "Aze, what happened to you? How did you get so badly injured?" She held Qi Guze's hands tightly, her eyes filled with worry and heartache.
Xia Sen and Bei Xuan followed closely behind into the room, their faces also filled with concern.
Bei Xuan walked quietly to the bedside, looked down at Qi Guze, and a hint of reluctance flashed in her eyes.
She whispered, "Your Highness, you must hold on. We will find a way to save you. Your sister can't live without you."
Just then, a soft cough came from outside the door, and the Ghost Doctor slowly walked in. His face held a complex expression as he looked at Qi Guze on the bed and sighed, "I didn't expect you to find out about this."
Xu Yuehuai turned her head to look at the Ghost Doctor, a hint of anger flashing in her eyes: "Why didn't you tell me? Aze was so badly injured, and I knew nothing about it!"
The Ghost Doctor remained silent for a while before slowly speaking: "I think the Prince certainly doesn't want you to worry. He has always been so strong and doesn't want you to see his vulnerable side."
Xu Yuehuai shook her head, a resolute glint in her eyes: "No, I have the right to know about his situation. We are husband and wife, and we should face everything together."
Looking at Xu Yuehuai's determined eyes, the Ghost Doctor remained silent for a moment before finally nodding. He walked to the bedside and began to carefully examine Qi Guze's current condition.
The atmosphere in the room became tense yet orderly. Xu Yuehuai's face was filled with determination and worry. She paced back and forth, sometimes checking on Qi Guze's condition, sometimes asking the Ghost Doctor for his opinion.
Xia Sen and Bei Xuan also stood aside, silently praying for Qi Guze.
After examining Qi Guze's injuries, the Ghost Doctor frowned.
He turned around and looked at Xu Yuehuai: "The prince's injuries are quite serious, and he will need to rest for a while. I will prescribe some more medicinal soups and nutritional supplements to help him recover his strength."
Xu Yuehua nodded, a hint of gratitude flashing in her eyes: "Thank you, Ghost Doctor. I will definitely take good care of Aze."
The Ghost Doctor nodded, turned and left the room.
Xu Yuehuai stood up and began instructing the servants to prepare medicinal soup and nutritional supplements, hoping to help Qi Guze recover his strength as soon as possible.
Afterwards, Xu Yuehuai returned to the bedside and continued to watch over Qi Guze. She gently held his hand, her eyes filled with tenderness and love: "Aze, you must be strong. I will stay here with you until you recover."
Time ticked by, and the atmosphere in the room grew increasingly heavy. But Xu Yuehuai showed no sign of complaint or fatigue; she remained steadfast in her post, protecting Qi Guze in her own way.
Bei Xuan and Xia Sen exchanged a glance, then turned and walked out of the house, leaving them their own space.
With Xu Yuehuai by his side, Qi Guze gradually awoke from his dazed state. His eyelids trembled slightly, as if bearing a thousand pounds of weight, and finally, he slowly opened his eyes.
At first glance, he saw Xu Yuehuai's eyes, full of concern and warmth, like two bright stars illuminating his path in the darkness.
A faint smile graced Xu Yuehuai's face, her eyes revealing deep affection. She gently grasped Qi Guze's hand; the warmth of his palm was like sunshine, giving him strength.
A warm current surged in Qi Guze's heart, as if a spring breeze gently brushed across the frozen lake, carrying away all the cold and pain.
He smiled slightly, his voice weak but full of gratitude and affection: "Yuehuai, thank you for always being by my side."
Upon hearing this, Xu Yuehuai's eyes sparkled with happiness.
She leaned down and gently kissed Qi Guze's forehead, saying tenderly, "Silly boy, we're husband and wife. No matter what difficulties we encounter, we'll face them together."
At that moment, the atmosphere in the room became warm and touching.
Xu Yuehuai's eyes were filled with love and determination, and every movement she made revealed her deep care for Qi Guze. Qi Guze, in turn, felt endless warmth and strength from this care.
Their hands were clasped tightly together, as if their lives were merging into one. Xu Yuehuai's face was filled with a happy smile, and her eyes held anticipation for the future and a longing for happiness.
