"Something terrible has happened!"
"It exploded!"
"Everyone, run!"
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged a smile; they were not shocked, but rather appeared quite calm. They knew that someone was deliberately creating chaos in an attempt to disrupt the peace process of the Four Nations Conference.
However, they were not afraid because they had already secretly placed people around the palace, and they could quickly quell any disturbances.
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze immediately ordered their secretly planted agents to quell the chaos. They themselves also quickly left the small garden and headed to the center of the palace to assess the situation.
They knew they had to remain calm and not panic, as this was the only way to better handle any unexpected situations that might arise.
In the heart of the palace, Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze witnessed an even more chaotic scene. Explosions rang out continuously, flames shot into the sky, and smoke filled the entire palace.
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze weaved through the chaotic crowd, their eyes sharp as eagles, quickly seizing every suspicious movement. They knew that within this chaos, there must be a saboteur lurking.
"Protect His Majesty!" A squad of palace guards rushed over, anxiously protecting Bai Yu and trying to escort him to safety. However, Bai Yu waved them off, refusing their protection. He stood in the crowd, his eyes flashing with a sharp light.
"Don't panic. Someone is deliberately creating chaos. We must remain calm and find the mastermind behind this." Bai Yu's voice was not loud, but it was full of authority and power.
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze nodded; they knew Bai Yu was right. At this moment, only by remaining calm and rational could they face the challenges ahead.
They quickly devised a plan and decided to split up. Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze were responsible for searching for the saboteurs, while Bai Yu stayed in the center of the palace to stabilize morale and direct the guards to maintain order.
Immediately afterwards, Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze, like two black lightning bolts, darted through the ancient corridors and majestic palaces of the imperial palace.
Moonlight shone through the sparse clouds, illuminating the two figures and making their movements appear even more swift and mysterious.
Every inch of the palace grounds, every brick and stone, seemed familiar with their footsteps, silently cooperating with their actions.
Xu Yuehuai's eyes were as sharp as a hawk's, her gaze piercing through the night and chaos, locking onto several suspicious-looking people.
They were dressed in ordinary guard uniforms, but in this tense moment, their eyes darted around, and their limbs trembled slightly, clearly filled with tension and fear. They looked around as if searching for some important target, or waiting for some predetermined signal.
Qi Guze frowned slightly, his hand gripping a longsword tightly, its blade gleaming coldly in the moonlight. He sensed that while these people's behavior was suspicious, their eyes revealed an innocence and bewilderment. He knew these people weren't the real saboteurs, but rather innocent victims being manipulated by the mastermind behind it all.
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged a glance, a tacit understanding flashing in their eyes. They decided to act swiftly to rescue these innocent people from the control of the mastermind behind the scenes. Xu Yuehuai's figure flashed, appearing like a ghost behind a suspicious person, while Qi Guze rushed towards another target like a whirlwind.
The two men moved swiftly and accurately, displaying an extremely high level of skill. Swords flashed and fists flew, and with only a few screams and cries of alarm, the suspicious individuals were subdued.
However, just when they thought everything was over, they discovered that these people had no evidence of the damage to the palace, nor any clues pointing to the mastermind behind it all.
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged bewildered glances, their hearts filled with doubt. They knew that there was definitely a deeper conspiracy and secret hidden behind this.
The two of them decided to continue their investigation and uncover the truth behind it all.
Xu Yuehuai crouched down, carefully examining one of the subdued men. His eyes revealed a deep fear and helplessness, as if he had completely lost control of his fate. Xu Yuehuai gently patted his shoulder and said softly, "Don't be afraid, we won't hurt you. Tell us, who ordered you to do this?"
The man looked up, tears welling in his eyes, and said in a trembling voice, "I...I don't know. They just told us to create chaos in the palace and then wait for their signal. We...we were just innocent guards, forced into this conspiracy."
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged a glance, already knowing the answer in their hearts. They knew that there must be a much larger force secretly controlling everything behind the scenes.
As night deepened, the wind in the palace gradually subsided. However, Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze were filled with tension and anticipation. They knew the road ahead would be even more dangerous. But no matter what, they would persevere.
"It seems we've been misled." Xu Yuehua frowned; she knew this incident was far more complicated than she had imagined.
Qi Guze nodded, his eyes shining with determination: "No matter who is behind this, we will find them and seek justice for this incident."
Just then, a series of hurried footsteps approached, and a guard rushed over: "My lord! We have discovered a suspicious location in the northwest corner of the palace!"
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze were instantly invigorated. They knew that at this moment, they were very close to uncovering the truth and finding the mastermind behind it all. They immediately followed the guards, their steps hurried, their hearts filled with determination and anticipation, heading towards the northwest corner.
When they arrived at the northwest corner, the scene before them stunned them instantly. What should have been a messy pile of rubble had now transformed into the entrance to a massive basement. This entrance was cleverly disguised; without the guards' guidance, they would likely never have discovered this secret. From within the basement, a faint light shone, and several figures could be vaguely seen busily moving in and out.
Xu Yuehuai and Qi Guze exchanged a glance, a resolute glint in their eyes. They swiftly drew their weapons and charged towards the basement like the wind. Their movements were swift and powerful, each step filled with their determination and strength.
"This...this is bad!"
"withdraw--!"
"Get out of here immediately!"
In the dimly lit basement, a few blurry figures were barely visible. They sat around a worn-out table, whispering amongst themselves, their demeanor unusually mysterious. However, this sudden intruder shattered their tranquility.
