Xu Yuehuai looked at the empty room and stepped inside. The things inside were also pitifully few, but fortunately, the basic necessities were all prepared. However, she suddenly felt that this place was like a trap to lure people in.
She didn't stay there for long before leaving the room. Outside, everything was peaceful and quiet. When she looked at the courtyard to the side, a hint of confusion appeared in her eyes. There were two rooms in one courtyard, which was obviously intended to accommodate two people. Could it be that the people of this ancient tribe still insisted on separating men and women?
She sneered and tried to open the door to leave, but found it wouldn't open. Xu Yuehuai realized something was wrong, and her expression turned grim as she looked at the door. Meanwhile, Zisangyi, who was struggling desperately, felt a piercing pain when she saw this scene. "What do you want? If you want to do something, just do it to me! Why are you making things difficult for my disciple? What are you ancient people doing? Is this how you treat your guests?!"
Zi Sangyi pretended not to understand anything, her angry glare pleasing the ancient man. He played with the string of beads in his hand, smiling broadly, "Isn't it obvious enough what I want to do?"
"You two ganged up on me to ruin my plans, can't you let me fight back?" The man's smile was like a venomous snake, clinging to them, causing unbearable stinging. Just a glance between them made them feel like they were trapped.
Zisang feigned ignorance, "What are you saying? I don't understand. I advise you to let me go right now, otherwise who knows what might happen later. You're talking nonsense here saying I ruined your plans, but we haven't done anything yet, how did I ruin your plans! Is arguing while watching a game considered a bad thing?"
Zi Sangyi spoke these words with her neck stiff and a displeased expression on her face. She stared at him, her defiant attitude making the ancient man laugh twice. After laughing, he said leisurely, "It's not easy for you to still be able to pretend like this even now. However, your little tricks won't work on me."
"Do you want your disciple to see you in this wretched and pathetic state? I bet she'd be more than happy to see you in pain." The ancient man's lips curled into a smile, his eyes filled with laughter, yet a chilling coldness emanated from that smile. Zi Sangyi's body stiffened upon hearing these words. He struggled and twisted his body, trying to break free from the restraints, but they held him firmly in place, rendering him unable to move.
Zisang took a deep breath and then said, "There's no need to go to such lengths, is there? Don't you think so? You should understand the principle of leaving a way out for others so you can meet again in the future."
"Are you joking with me? But I've never liked telling jokes." The ancient man didn't care about such things at all.
Zisangyi was completely unable to break free of the shackles on his body. The more he struggled, the more excited the ancient man in front of him became. The two formed a stark contrast to each other. He did not want to just sit and wait for his death, and his face showed a hint of resistance.
After wandering around for a while without finding anything strange, Xu Yuehuai turned and left, closing the door behind her. The ancient man saw this and chuckled, saying, "Oh dear, look, your good disciple is gone, and now you're all alone here. Are you scared? If you say you're scared, I might let you go if I'm in a good mood."
Zi Sangyi remained silent. He couldn't fathom the cultivation level of the person in front of him, which meant that the person's strength was definitely above his own. As a result, dealing with this man would be difficult. The man, however, was completely unaware of how excessive his actions were. He still wore a faint smile on his face, and the object in his hand seemed to have taken on a different flavor.
Zisangyi looked towards the door, hoping that after she left, she would never come back. The intelligence was wrong, there was indeed something wrong with this place, and the person behind it was incredibly powerful. They had already fallen into a trap. In that case, it would be enough for one person to stay here permanently.
The ancient man seemed to see through what Zi Sangyi was thinking. As he smiled, something else suddenly appeared in front of him. "I think you still want to see what your disciple is doing now. Do you want to know what she's thinking?"
The ancient man waved his hand, and a white object suddenly appeared in front of him, showing Xu Yuehuai walking outside, shuttling between courtyards, trying to find Zisangyi's location.
But after walking for a long time without seeing a single person, she was a little confused. She continued walking and, after walking for an unknown amount of time, finally saw a figure hurriedly preparing to leave. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was Zi Sangyi.
When Zisangyi saw Xu Yuehuai in the scene, she didn't look happy. Instead, she grabbed Xu Yuehuai's shoulders with both hands and said with a nervous look in her eyes, "It's dangerous here. Get out of here quickly. Don't go this way. Go in another direction."
Upon hearing this, Xu Yuehuai quickly pulled "Zisangyi" away, without questioning the authenticity of his existence.
"What happened over there? Where were you taken just now?" Xu Yuehuai asked him these important questions as they walked.
Zi Sangyi took a couple of breaths to catch her breath before saying, "I was taken to a room as soon as I came in. There was nothing in the room except a few simple things. I found it strange, so I thought I'd go out and see what was going on. But as soon as I went out, I encountered people from the Ancient Clan. They chased after me and attacked me."
Zi Sangyi kept talking, her eyes filled with panic. Xu Yuehuai didn't suspect much after hearing this and continued to ask, "Why did they attack you? What did you do?"
Zisangyi shook her head, looking puzzled and confused, and said, "I don't know. They just started chasing me as soon as I went out. I thought they didn't want me to go out, so I ran out quickly."
“It’s not safe for us to talk here. Didn’t anyone chase you when you came out? Why don’t we go to your room first?” Zisangyi said, turning around after glancing around.
Xu Yuehua nodded, and the two walked back together. Although she had only been out for a short time, she had already walked a long distance.
