Chapter 1275 Special Medicinal Herbs

"By the way, I also heard that Miss specially transferred a group of experts from a new organization outside to guard this batch of medicinal herbs closely." The servant's words struck Xu Yuehuai's heart like a heavy hammer.

Her expression changed drastically, and a storm raged in her heart: "A new organization? Could it be the Four Kingdoms Slaughter Organization? This is indeed related to them!" She quickly made a decision to leave first and then make further plans.

Xu Yuehuai carefully withdrew from the small building, her figure appearing and disappearing in the moonlight, and finally returned to Zuixianlou.

Back in her room, she immediately informed the Ghost Doctor of this significant discovery.

Upon hearing this, the Ghost Doctor's face turned ashen: "So, this fake medicine incident is indeed connected to the Four Kingdoms Slaughter Organization." He took a deep breath, seemingly trying to calm his inner shock.

Xu Yuehuai sat to the side and said, "That's right. I also heard that they are secretly making a mysterious potion. I suspect that the Four Kingdoms are up to some new trick again."

The Ghost Doctor's tone was somewhat urgent, "If that's really the case, we can no longer sit idly by and watch them fight; we must quickly find a way to stop their other plans."

Xu Yuehuai whispered to the ghost doctor beside him, "Those medicinal herbs are crucial to us; we must find their whereabouts."

The Ghost Doctor responded, but a hint of worry was also in his eyes.

...

General Lin strode in, followed by a squad of elite soldiers. He clasped his hands in a salute to Xu Yuehuai, "Your Highness, I have assembled my men and am preparing to go to the Song residence to investigate the whereabouts of that batch of medicinal herbs."

A hint of admiration flashed in Xu Yuehuai's eyes: "General Lin, this journey is dangerous, please be careful."

General Lin solemnly replied, "Please rest assured, Your Highness, I will do my utmost."

After bidding farewell to Xu Yuehuai and the Ghost Doctor, General Lin led his soldiers away quietly. Under the moonlight, their figures quickly blended into the dark streets and alleys.

Inside the Song residence, the lights were dim and all was quiet. General Lin and his soldiers silently infiltrated the residence and began a thorough search.

However, before they could find any trace of the medicinal herbs, a series of hurried footsteps broke the silence of the night.

"Someone has broken in!" The servants of the Song family shouted, rushing towards General Lin and his men with sticks in hand.

Upon seeing this, General Lin immediately drew his long sword and charged forward with his soldiers.

A fierce battle unfolded within the Song residence.

General Lin led from the front, his swordsmanship as swift as a rainbow, but the Song family's servants were numerous, and they gradually found themselves in a bitter battle.

After a fierce battle, General Lin and his soldiers, though incredibly brave, were ultimately outnumbered and surrounded.

General Lin was mortally wounded, his battle robe stained crimson with blood. He stood leaning against his sword, his eyes gleaming with unyielding spirit. He looked up at the night sky, silently repeating in his heart, "My lord, I have failed you..."

Just then, a figure emerged from the darkness—it was Song Luo. She looked coldly at General Lin and asked, "Who sent you? What are you doing here?"

General Lin gritted his teeth and said, word by word, "Don't waste your energy, we won't tell you."

Upon hearing this, Song Luo flew into a rage and waved for his servants to come forward and carry out the torture.

General Lin trembled with pain, but he gritted his teeth and did not utter a single groan.

Seeing this, the soldiers shouted, "General, you must hold on!"

Seeing this scene, Song Luo couldn't help but feel moved. She stepped forward, bent down, and said to General Lin, "If you tell me where your master is, I can spare your life."

General Lin raised his head with difficulty, a cold smile appearing on his lips: "You won't get any information from me."

Inside the main hall of the Song mansion, the dim light flickered, illuminating Song Luo's sinister face. She sneered and waved for the servants to continue the torture.

"Tell me, where exactly is your master hiding?" Song Luo's voice was sharp and cold, like an ice pick piercing the heart.

General Lin was bound hand and foot to the rack, his body already covered in blood, but his eyes were as firm as iron, showing no fear whatsoever. He clenched his teeth, enduring the excruciating pain without uttering a sound.

"Hmph, do you think you can keep your master's secret by not speaking?" Song Luo sneered. She walked up to General Lin and forcefully pinched his chin. "I'm telling you, you have to tell me today!"

General Lin groaned in pain, but he kept his lips tightly shut, uttering not a single word. Seeing this, Song Luo was enraged and waved for her servants to increase the force.

"Ah—" General Lin let out a painful groan, his body trembling violently on the rack. But even so, he did not yield.

"General!" A soldier couldn't help but rush forward, but was stopped by Song Luo's servants.

"Don't worry about me, protecting our master is the most important thing!" General Lin shouted, struggling.

However, at that moment, General Lin's body suddenly went limp and he collapsed into a pool of blood. His face was ashen, and he was barely breathing. Seeing this, the soldiers rushed forward, trying to save their general.

"Don't come any closer," General Lin said, his voice weak but firm as he struggled to open his eyes. "I've failed my master. You must survive..."

The soldiers were heartbroken upon hearing these words. Tears streamed down their faces as they gripped General Lin's hand tightly, as if trying to draw warmth from his cold grasp.

"General, we will not let you sacrifice in vain!" a soldier shouted. "We will avenge you!"

"Kill this witch!"

"Avenge the general!"

The other soldiers echoed their sentiments, vowing to avenge General Lin. However, Song Luo coldly interrupted them.

"Revenge? Do you think you still have a chance?" Song Luo sneered. "Today, none of you will leave the Song manor alive!"

"Kill them!"

She waved to signal the servants to get to work.

"Everyone, charge!"

The atmosphere inside the hall was tense. Soldiers in iron armor, holding long swords, faced off against the servants. The tips of their swords gleamed coldly, as if they could pierce the silent air at any moment.

"For General Lin, we are not afraid to die!" a young soldier shouted, his voice revealing his eagerness and determination for the upcoming battle.

However, just as tensions were about to rise, a deep and firm voice suddenly rang out: "Stop!"

The sound was as powerful as thunder, moving everyone present.

The soldiers turned to look at the source of the voice, and saw General Lin, his face pale, his eyes filled with despair and grief. He struggled to his feet and shouted with all his might, "No, don't make a pointless sacrifice for me!"

General Lin's words stirred up an indescribable emotion in the soldiers' hearts. They looked at General Lin, their hearts filled with respect and reluctance to part with him.

“General, we cannot stand by and watch you suffer!” A soldier stepped forward, his eyes filled with tears, his voice trembling slightly.
