The Fifth Elder's voice was quite loud, and the commotion drew the attention of everyone around. Several senior brothers and sisters standing on the upper half of the floor looked at Xu Yuehuai with interest. One of them chuckled, "You know what, this little girl from the third floor is really stubborn. She actually dared to anger the Fifth Elder in the library. I think she'll soon be blacklisted from the library's personnel list."

"How can you possibly understand what a book is about by flipping through it like that!" The Fifth Elder was now convinced that Xu Yuehuai was playing a trick on him. The alluring senior sister, watching from upstairs, laughed and said, "Our junior sister here is quite stubborn."

These words drew everyone's attention. The man standing in the corner had delicate features and wore a white dress that made him look elegant and refined. This man was none other than the Grand Elder's disciple and everyone's senior brother, Nangong Yu.

Xu Yuehuai's tone was helpless, "Elder, I really did read it very carefully. You can't take back my token. It was given to me by my senior sister. If you take it away, how am I supposed to explain it later?"
The Fifth Elder remained unmoved. "Go ahead and tell her to come find me. Just tell her I took the token. What can she do about it?"
"So what if you don't accept my token?" Xu Yuehuai said softly, but her words made the faces of the senior brothers and sisters standing upstairs change.
"This junior sister... is really to my liking, but it seems she has really offended the Fifth Elder terribly." The woman shook her head. She was Shangguan Xi, the Third Elder's personal disciple. "Let's go, this young lady is going to rescue the poor little beauty."
Shangguan Qi walked down the steps with elegant steps, holding the railing with one hand and lifting her skirt with the other. Her steps were like lotus flowers. "Fifth Elder, why are you angry? I think this junior sister really has some real talent. Who knows, she might have actually finished reading all these books?"

Xu Yuehuai's eyes were sincere. She had been arguing with the Fifth Elder for a long time, and most people in the library had come to watch the show. She really didn't want to be surrounded and treated like a monkey.
The Fifth Elder's expression changed. It was unclear whether he believed it or not, but at least he didn't just keep scolding Xu Yuehuai. He seemingly randomly picked a book from the bookshelf, but in reality, it was the book that Xu Yuehuai had spent the least amount of time flipping through. He wanted to see what kind of skills this little girl in front of him really had!
