Chapter 1510 Ji Yuanchi

Ji Yuanchi, who took her mother's surname, is the most beloved granddaughter of the Pu family. She has five older brothers and was pampered growing up. But she met Yi Zhuo in a very special place.

That year, the Pu family went sightseeing and stopped to rest in a small town. When they were about to set off again, they discovered that Ji Yuanchi was missing. An hour had passed since she went missing when they realized she was gone.

Ji Yuanchi was playful and liked to run around. When she left, Pu's mother reminded her that something was wrong when she called her many times but received no response.

When the Pu family learned of this news, they were in a state of panic, mobilizing everyone they could. Their first priority was to find her, and their second was to make a show of force. If bad people took her away, they would let them know how important Ji Yuanchi was to the Pu family, and that taking her away would inevitably cost them their lives.

Ji Yuanchi was found in a small village not far away. According to Ji Yuanchi, she wanted to ride a horse, but as soon as she got on, the horse started moving on its own. She thought it was fun and didn't call for help. When she realized something was wrong and wanted to ask for help, there was no one around.

Fortunately, she met Yizhuo. At that time, Yizhuo was very small and thin due to malnutrition. She didn't look like someone who could lead a horse at all.

But it was little Yizhuo who stopped the horse from running wild and rescued Ji Yuanchi from its back. She asked, "Why are you here? Where are your family? Can you still find your family?"

Ji Yuanchi didn't know the way back, so Yi Zhuo took her back to her home. She marked the way from where she was found to the road home, so that if anyone found this place, the clues wouldn't all go cold.

In one hour, Ji Yuanchi followed Yi Zhuo up the mountain and down to the fields, catching fish and raiding bird nests, doing everything they could.

After the Pu family found her and tried to take her away, she grabbed Yi Zhuo's hand, wanting Pu's mother to take Yi Zhuo back with her, and spoke many good words about Yi Zhuo in front of Pu's mother.

When Pu's mother learned that a child the same age as her daughter had to do so many things every day, she couldn't bear it and took Yi Zhuo back with her. From then on, Yi Zhuo became Ji Yuanchi's study companion.

Ji Yuanchi learned whatever she wanted to learn.

But one day, when Pu's mother returned, she strongly demanded that Yi Zhuo be kicked out. Ji Yuan was unwilling, as Yi Zhuo was her childhood playmate and had not done anything wrong.

Ji Yuanchi remembers that at that time, Pu's mother's expression was very ugly. She grabbed her arms, her eyes filled with fervor and hesitation, and said, "Achi, believe your mother, okay? Everything your mother does is for your own good. Your mother will not harm you."

Ji Yuanchi didn't know why Pu's mother said such a strange thing, but she still nodded in agreement.

She trusted her mother completely; her mother was the best mother in the world.

However, when she woke up the next day, she found that Yizhuo was gone. She remembered what Pu's mother had said about sending her away, so she immediately ran to Pu's mother's house to ask why.

Pu's mother did not answer her, but only said, "I will choose another person to accompany you in your studies. She is just a girl from the countryside. As the only woman in the Pu family, you are the most important face of the family. You must not compromise on this matter."

Ji Yuanchi was very angry, and at the same time very worried and scared. She didn't know why her mother had suddenly become such a terrible person.

She returned to her room and didn't come out for days on end. Grandpa Pu came to see her twice, and the old man, who always doted on her, didn't say anything about it. She didn't understand.

Does a person's birth really matter? Can't a girl from the countryside stay by her side?

However, Ji Yuanchi never got an answer to this question from Pu's mother. The day after she locked herself in her room, Pu's mother went out and never came back. It was as if she had vanished into thin air.

White lanterns were hung throughout the Pu family home, creating a somber atmosphere.

Grandpa Pu came to see Ji Yuanchi once and said, "Your mother has died. Do you want to go and see her?"

At that time, Ji Yuanchi was already twelve years old. Most people are able to take on the responsibilities of their families at the age of twelve, but Ji Yuanchi was still like a naive child, which shows how well her family protected her.

But she couldn't fully understand the principles she should have known. She was stunned, and she felt that her grandfather was lying to her.

She didn't believe it, thinking that she had been throwing a tantrum for so many days, which made her mother angry and caused her to play hide-and-seek with her in order to lure her out.

Ji Yuanchi remembers that it was the first time her grandfather spoke harshly to her.

Only then did she realize that she truly no longer had a mother.

She also missed seeing her mother one last time because she had a fight with her.

Ji Yuanchi felt very guilty and stopped talking much from then on. Until half a month after the anniversary of Pu's mother's death, an unexpected person came to her door.

It was Yi Zhuo who told Ji Yuanchi that because of her mother, her family was destroyed and she was heartbroken. She felt that she had to tell everyone about this so that everyone could see that the seemingly powerful Pu family was actually bullying people like this behind their backs.

Ji Yuanchi was unhappy; she didn't want anyone to tarnish her mother's reputation behind her back.

So when Yi Zhuo asked to return to the Pu family, she agreed.

When Grandpa Pu learned of this, he tried his best to stop it, but eventually he gave in.

Because her grandfather had spoken harshly to her, Ji Yuanchi was somewhat afraid of Grandpa Pu at the time, and naturally did not have the courage to tell the truth behind the matter.

At first, Yi Zhuo was very honest and simply returned to her original position. However, after a while, her ambition gradually became apparent, and she began to ask Ji Yuanchi for things, which Ji Yuanchi accepted without question.

Yi Zhuo began to brainwash Ji Yuanchi, transforming her from a bright, generous, gentle, and proper person into a puppet who would only listen to her.

But gradually, Yi Zhuo became dissatisfied. She wanted to replace Ji Yuanchi, or rather, she didn't want Ji Yuanchi to live a better life than her, and she had murderous intentions.

She had long been secretly colluding with Wu Chen behind the scenes.

One day, the two men lured her out and then left her alone under some pretext. After they left, a group of men in black carrying knives rushed out and began attacking her. She never slacked off in her training and managed to fight her way out, but she was seriously injured. As she fell down the hillside, she saw Wu Chen and Yi Zhuo.

Izhuo was laughing, a terrifying laugh. Perhaps it was the approach of death that brought her back to her senses. She thought she was really about to die. Memories flashed through her mind, and she realized that the two of them had been having an affair all along.

Her tragedy always stemmed from her poor judgment of people.
