Chapter 832 Heading to the Royal Palace

In a safe place, Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai could finally relax for a while.

The next day, they sat around the campfire with the Ghost Doctor and the others, silently contemplating their future path.

Qi Guze's eyes revealed a firmness and determination. He knew he had to persevere, for Pei Xuan and for the beliefs in his heart.

Xu Yuehuai remained calm, her eyes revealing a coldness and determination, as if she were prepared to face any danger.

As night falls, the starry sky becomes as dazzling as a painting.

Qi Guze looked up at the starry sky, his heart filled with endless thoughts. He knew he absolutely could not fall here; there were still many enemies to face.

However, he was not alone. He had Xu Yuehuai by his side and the Ghost Doctor supporting him from behind. He believed that they would definitely be able to defeat the mysterious organization and avenge Pei Xuan.

Xu Yuehuai watched Qi Guze silently from the side, her eyes filled with tenderness and care. She knew the pain and struggle in Qi Guze's heart, but she also knew that he was a strong person who would not be defeated by any difficulties.

She was willing to accompany him through this difficult journey and face all the hardships and obstacles of the future together.

That night, the campfire roared, illuminating the dark night sky. Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai sat quietly by the fire, their figures appearing exceptionally resolute and determined in the firelight.

They believed that as long as they continued their investigation, they would surely find traces of the mysterious organization and avenge Pei Xuan.

As night fell, stars dotted the sky, like countless eyes watching over the earth. Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai sat around the campfire, the firelight illuminating their thoughtful faces.

The two had just enjoyed a day of peace when suddenly, as if thunderous hooves were sounding, an army was approaching their location.

Yan Qing and the other guards reacted swiftly, immediately shielding Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai in the middle, their eyes filled with vigilance. The campfire crackled, its flames flickering in the wind, as if trembling with fear at the arrival of this uninvited guest.

"Regent of the Great Zhou Kingdom, Princess Heyue, there is no time to lose, please come with us!" The leader's tone was resolute and unquestionable, and his gaze appeared particularly cold and hard in the light of the campfire.

Qi Guze stood up, his brows furrowed. He drew his longsword from his waist, its tip gleaming coldly in the night wind. He stood in front of Xu Yuehuai, his gaze resolute, and said, "You have treated me with courtesy, so I will naturally not be ungrateful."

Xu Yuehuai gripped the exquisite dagger tightly in her hand, the tip of the blade gleaming between her fingers. Her eyes were filled with inquiry as she looked at Qi Guze—her master, her protector.

Qi Guze glanced at her, his gaze calm and collected. "Since you are so polite, I may go with you, but she need not come along."

Having said that, his gaze, cold as iron, fixed on the leader, exuding an undeniable air of authority. The atmosphere around them instantly tensed. The campfire flickered in the breeze, sparks dancing in the heat, mingling with the twinkling stars in the night sky.

Yan Qing and the other guards drew their swords, the gleaming tips pointing at the approaching figure. The other party, however, seemed unfazed, simply awaiting Qi Guze's decision.

Xu Yuehuai gently tugged at Qi Guze's sleeve; her fingers were icy cold and trembling slightly. Qi Guze turned slightly to look down at her, his eyes revealing deep emotions.

He reached out and gently stroked Xu Yuehuai's hair, trying to convey comfort and strength. "Don't worry," Qi Guze said softly, "I'll handle it."

His voice was soft, yet filled with tenderness and determination. Time seemed to stand still at that moment.

The tense atmosphere, the flickering firelight, the determined gaze, and the gentle caress... all these elements intertwine to create a vivid picture.

The leader said, "Alright, then please come with us quickly, Your Majesty."

Finally, Qi Guze turned around and nodded to the leader: "Okay, I'll go with you. But please make sure she's safe."

Qi Guze then instructed Yan Qing and the others to protect Xu Yuehuai.

Qi Guze then left the camp with the people from Dongsang Kingdom, while Xu Yuehuai silently watched their retreating figures. Qi Guze knew she was worried, but he couldn't say anything more.

Xu Yuehuai believed he would definitely return safely.

Just then, the Ghost Doctor suddenly stepped forward and said to them, "I'll go with you too."

Qi Guze, Xu Yuehuai, and the others were all taken aback, not expecting the Ghost Doctor to make such a request.

The leader of Dongsang Kingdom was also taken aback, but he quickly recovered and said, "That's not necessarily a bad thing. Let's get going."

Thus, Qi Guze, the Ghost Doctor, and the people of Dongsang Kingdom embarked on their journey to the royal palace of Dongsang Kingdom.

Xu Yuehuai stood on the same path watching them leave, her fists clenched tightly, her heart filled with worry. As the warmth of the campfire gradually dissipated and night once again enveloped the land, Yan Qing and the others quickly told Xu Yuehuai to go back and rest before she finally left.

Qi Guze and the Ghost Doctor traversed mountains and grasslands, finally arriving at the royal palace of the Eastern Sang Kingdom.

The royal palace of Dongsang Kingdom was magnificent, but Qi Guze had no mood to appreciate it. Their purpose in coming here wasn't sightseeing; the King of Dongsang must have something very important to discuss with them after traveling such a long distance. Who knew what would happen next?

They soon met King Dongsang, who appeared old and very weak. He seemed terminally ill and had little time left to live.

Qi Guze's heart sank; he knew this was not a good sign. But they had no way out and could only grit their teeth and continue forward.

King Dongsang looked at them and said with a smile, "It's been a long time, Little Ye'er!"

"And welcome to your arrival, Qi Guze, Regent of the Great Zhou Kingdom!"

Inside the magnificent palace, Qi Guze and the soldiers around him stood silently, their faces filled with shock. The words spoken by the King of Dongsang had given them a completely new understanding of the current situation.

"The Ghost Doctor is actually Xiaoyezi, the child once adopted by the Prince of Kang!" This news struck like a thunderbolt in everyone's hearts.

The Ghost Doctor, this extremely mysterious figure, has such an unknown past. He is not only Qi Guze's good friend, but also a former benefactor of this country.

Sayoko—the name seemed to carry endless sorrow and secrets, making one yearn to explore her past. The Ghost Doctor stood there coldly, his face expressionless. His eyes were deep and indifferent, as if concealing endless vicissitudes and pain.

He did not respond to the King of Dongsang's words, but stood there silently, as if isolated from the world.
