Xu Yuehuai had just turned around when she saw this scene. Without thinking, she kicked the man in black away and pulled the sword out of Linghu Zhou's body. Blood kept flowing from the stab wound. Linghu Zhou couldn't support himself and fell to the ground. He grabbed a tree with one hand to keep himself from falling directly to the ground.
"Linghu Zhou!" Xu Yuehuai's eyes were filled with anger and helplessness. This was the second time. A living person had stood in front of her, wanting to die in her place. But she was the one who should bear all of this. Why could these people so readily take the sword for her? People will die, don't they know that?!
Ji Yuanchi's death dealt a heavy blow to Xu Yuehuai. She watched helplessly as her friend died protecting her from a sword, and now Linghu Zhou was putting on a similar show. Her heart was in complete turmoil. She watched as Linghu Zhou slid to his knees, while she stood up, her hand holding the sword turning white.
Xu Yuehuai channeled all her spiritual energy, leaping into the air and creating a gust of wind. The man in black in front of her, unaware of what was happening, laughed loudly and couldn't help but mock Linghu Zhou, "I see you two have quite a good relationship, a loving couple. You even went so far as to block a sword for me. This kid has deep feelings for you!"
The words and laughter of the man in black echoed in Xu Yuehuai's ears. She held her breath and focused. In an instant, it was as if the man in black was restrained by some force. The two of them pried at the air, trying to get rid of what was restraining their necks, but they couldn't. Their hands couldn't grab anything and just flailed wildly in the air.
Seeing this, Linghu Zhou was shocked. When he looked at Xu Yuehuai again, he saw that she was surrounded by a black aura. Linghu Zhou gripped the wall tightly, his eyes filled with worry.
Moments later, the two died, unable to utter their last words. They lay on the ground, barely breathing, and soon breathed their last.
Xu Yuehuai fell from the sky and landed on the ground. Linghu Zhou wanted to catch her, but he was too weak to reach her side.
After falling, Xu Yuehuai was enveloped in immense pain. She opened her eyes, shook her somewhat dazed head, and used both hands and feet to get up from the ground. She stumbled towards Linghu Zhou, took his hand, and tried to pull the weak and powerless Linghu Zhou up from the ground, but almost fell down herself in the process.
"You go first, don't worry about me. If the others catch up, neither of us will be able to escape!" Xu Yuehuai and Linghuzhou knew very well that not all of the six people from that place had died. Including the men in black here, only three had died, and even the man without arms was still alive. If any of them caught up, they would all be doomed in their current state.

The girl had a smile on her face, and when she smiled, there were two cute little dimples on her cheeks. Her hair was styled into two braids, making her look incredibly adorable. "Of course I came to see you, Brother Gu Ze. Father said that we should spend more time together to help us develop our relationship. I think Father is right, so I came to see you."
A smile spread across the girl's face, looking innocent and naive. She wrapped her arms around Qi Guze's arm and said coquettishly, "Brother Guze, you haven't spent time with me for many days. Will you come out for a walk with me today?"
Qi Guze's mind was entirely focused on the jade pendant, and he had no interest in paying attention to the girl. He said in a slightly perfunctory tone, "I'm busy today. Also, I've told you many times that I don't like you. Don't waste your energy on me."
