Chapter 404 Cheesecake

"Are you feeling down because you've caused everyone a lot of trouble these past few days because of Xu Jingui's matter?" Qi Guze knew she must be feeling bad, so he wanted to comfort her. After considering his words for a moment, he spoke calmly. As he spoke, he glanced at Xu Yuehuai's reaction. Seeing that she seemed to understand, he reached out and took Xu Yuehuai's hand, stroking her palm as he said, "And now that you know they aren't your biological parents, you feel even more indebted to everyone at Tianxiang Tower."

Xu Yuehuai lowered her head and didn't speak, letting Qi Guze hold her hand. Normally, she would have shyly pulled away long ago, but today she didn't. Her mind was in turmoil, and she didn't have time to think about these things. Then she nodded blankly.

Qi Guze was overjoyed to see this. Although it was somewhat opportunistic, he knew that those who achieve great things do not concern themselves with trifles. He quickly pulled the man into his arms and continued to persuade him, "We've encountered so many difficulties and setbacks along the way. Now we've become the closest of friends. Go and ask around. Who has ever truly blamed you?"

Xu Yuehuai's body trembled upon hearing this. She knew all along, but she always felt that she owed everyone too much.

Qi Guze also sensed the reaction of the person in his arms. He gently patted her back and continued, "Don't worry, they won't hold a grudge against you because of these things, and you don't need to harbor any resentment. Everyone trusts you, which is why they are willing to stay by your side."

Xu Yuehuai sighed, as if to relieve some of her worries and anxieties, and then hugged Qi Guze tightly.

"You need to open your heart, otherwise everyone will be very worried about you." Qi Guze sensed something, and when he saw Xu Yuehuai holding his hands, he couldn't help but grin. He continued to comfort Xu Yuehuai.

Xu Yuehua nodded: "Okay, I will." She lowered her head again as she spoke, looking somewhat depressed.

Seeing this, Qi Guze continued to help her analyze the situation: "Look, this matter is not as bad as you think. Now that you know they have nothing to do with you, you will no longer feel burdened by them."

Xu Yuehua nodded, then looked up at Qi Guze, her eyes filled with determination.

"I think I still need to go to Luoping Village in person," Xu Yuehuai said to him, or rather, to her own heart.

Qi Guze was naturally happy for her that her heart was no longer heavy, but when he heard that she was going to Luoping Village, he couldn't help but frown. After all, he was extremely worried about letting her go out and run around in the current situation.

"It would be best to reconsider this matter carefully. Do you know how many people inside and outside the palace are waiting to kill you?" Qi Guze couldn't help but remind her, a few beads of sweat appearing on his forehead from worry.

However, Xu Yuehuai first shook her head and then nodded, saying, "I know all that, but I absolutely have to go to Luoping Village."

"Should we go later?" Qi Guze was still worried.

"Don't worry, I'm fully prepared, both mentally and otherwise." Xu Yuehuai was well aware of the dangers involved, but she had to go.

Qi Guze knew he couldn't persuade her, so he simply stopped trying. He thought to himself that he would go with her and make sure she was safe.

After this conversation, their relationship progressed further. Xu Yuehuai's gaze towards Qi Guze was somewhat different. The two talked about some romantic topics until the early hours of the morning before Qi Guze went back to his room to rest.

The next morning, a new restaurant called Hua Rong Zhuang appeared out of nowhere near Tianxiang Tower.

It's not surprising that it appeared out of nowhere. Last night, Qi Guze and Xu Yuehuai had a long talk until late at night, and neither of them noticed any unusual noises outside. The next day, the restaurant opened amidst the sound of firecrackers, making quite a scene.

The building, true to its name, was built in a very luxurious and elegant style. Coupled with the grand opening promotion, it directly stole away more than half of Tianxianglou's customers.

The waiters at Tianxianglou were idly commenting on the Hua Rong Zhuang at the entrance, since there were hardly any customers inside.

Zhou Wan was also there, leaning against the door frame and couldn't help but complain, "It's really unbelievable! A Flower Beauty Manor has sprung up overnight. How are we supposed to do business here?"

She said it in an annoyed tone, and then couldn't help but stomp her foot after she finished speaking.

Seeing this, Tie Xiong quickly advised, "Wife, isn't this a good opportunity for you to rest? There's no end to making money; a life with both relaxation and rest is what makes it worthwhile."

As he spoke, he took a plate of cut fruit from the side, turned around and handed it to Zhou Wan to eat. Zhou Wan sighed and said, "I'm not as optimistic as you. I always have to think about the livelihood of everyone in this shop."

She knew that Tie Xiong was a rough man and naturally wouldn't know the intricacies of the situation, so she didn't blame him much. Instead, she imagined the fruit in her mouth as the signature dish of Hua Rong Zhuang and then took a big bite.

Just as Tie Xiong was about to continue speaking, a customer arrived. He was also a regular at Tianxianglou, Young Master Chang.

"Young Master Chang, it's been a while! What would you like to eat today?" Zhou Wan greeted him familiarly, while Tie Xiong waved his hand and instructed the waiters to attend to the guests.

"Give me two slices of cheesecake," Young Master Chang said listlessly, looking rather listless for some reason.

Xu Yuehuai was watching from the side. She noticed that Young Master Chang had a dark circle under his eye, as if he had been punched. Zhou Wan then brought out a cake and handed it to Xu Yuehuai.

As she stepped forward to collect the money, she asked, "Young Master Chang, what's wrong with your eyes?"

"Eyes?" Young Master Chang paused for a moment upon hearing this, seemingly quite sensitive about the matter. He then replied vaguely, "Hey, I haven't slept well these past few days, I need to find some time to catch up on my sleep." With that, he took the cake and headed out the door.

Xu Yuehuai chuckled upon hearing this, and while watching his retreating figure, she weighed the change she was about to give him. Young Master Chang was notoriously stingy, and some busybodies even composed a nursery rhyme to mock him and taught it to the children in the neighborhood.

It seems to be said like this: A porcelain rooster with iron hair, a glass mouse and a crystal cat, not a hair is plucked, not a single seed is spent.

But now he's so distracted that he doesn't even want the change, which is really abnormal.

"Young Master Chang," Xu Yuehuai called out hurriedly as he was about to leave, "Aren't you going to take your change?"
