Chapter 952 Continuing Forward

At this moment, a sharp look appeared on Bei Xuan's face. She knew she couldn't rely on the guards' protection forever; she had to become stronger.

Only in this way can she find her own path in this world full of danger and opportunity.

She gripped the dagger tightly, feeling its cold metallic texture. This dagger had witnessed her growth and changes, as well as her courage and determination in this battle.

On the road ahead, she will surely forge ahead and reach her own peak.

"Ah Xuan, are you alright?" Xu Yuehuai rode up on horseback, her eyes full of concern. Her voice echoed in Bei Xuan's ears like a warm current, warming her heart.

Bei Xuan raised her head, looked at Xu Yuehuai, and smiled slightly. Although her face was a little pale, her eyes sparkled with a gentle light.

"I'm fine, sister," she said softly, her voice weak but strong.

Xia Sen also walked over quickly, his face full of worry. He looked at Bei Xuan and, seeing that she looked normal, breathed a sigh of relief.

"Are you really alright? Those assassins just now..."

"I'm fine, Brother Asen." Bei Xuan shook her head again, interrupting him, not wanting them to continue worrying about her.

Xu Yuehuai and Xia Sen exchanged a glance, both seeing deep worry in each other's eyes. But they also understood that Bei Xuan was a strong and independent woman with her own thoughts and decisions.

They can't keep taking care of her like a child; she needs to face these difficulties and challenges on her own.

So they stopped saying anything and simply stayed by Bei Xuan's side, protecting her safety.

Xu Yuehuai waved and shouted, "Let's go!"

Guards: "Yes!"

The team set off again, the sound of wheels echoing through the silent forest, as if telling of their determination and courage.

Inside the carriage, Xu Yuehuai and Bei Xuan sat side by side. Their conversation naturally turned to the battle they had just fought.

"Ah Xuan, who do you think sent those assassins?" Xu Yuehuai asked.

Bei Xuan pondered for a moment, then slowly spoke: "Perhaps it's the remnants of the Moon Guard of the Underworld Kingdom, or perhaps it's the court officials of the Great Zhou Kingdom who oppose my return. In either case, it means our journey home will not be peaceful."

Xu Yuehua nodded in agreement. Her gaze deepened, as if she were pondering a more complex issue.

"Ah Xuan, have you ever thought about what we'll do if you keep being hunted down like this?"

Bei Xuan smiled slightly: "Sister, no matter how difficult the road ahead may be, I will not give up."

Looking into her brave eyes, Xu Yuehuai knew that Bei Xuan was a woman with firm beliefs who would not back down because of difficulties.

The carriage moved slowly along the rugged mountain road, the sound of the wheels rolling and the horses' hooves clattering on the ground, creating a stirring symphony.

Xu Yuehuai and Bei Xuan's gazes were firm and powerful, as if they could pierce through the fog ahead and see the hope for the future.

After a long and arduous journey, they finally arrived at the capital of the Dark Moon Kingdom. Bei Xuan stood at the city gate, and the scene before her made her feel a little nostalgic.

Although this capital city is not as prosperous as the capital of the Great Zhou Kingdom, it has its own unique charm and atmosphere.

Mysterious runes are carved on the city walls, seemingly telling the ancient and enigmatic history of the Dark Moon Kingdom. On either side of the city gate, guards in black armor watch the passersby with expressionless faces.

Xu Yuehuai, Xia Sen, and others stood beside Bei Xuan, their faces showing excitement and anticipation.

Then, Xu Yuehuai took a deep breath, turned around and said to everyone, "Let's go in!"

The carriages in the procession slowly entered the capital, and people on both sides of the street cast curious glances at them.

"Welcome back to the Dark Moon Kingdom, Princess Bei Xuan!"

The allied forces of the three countries stood on both sides of the street, cheering loudly.

Xu Yuehuai's eyes searched through the crowd. She saw the figure of the Ghost Doctor, but not Qi Hanlin.

Her heart tightened, and she secretly got off the carriage, walked to the Ghost Doctor's side, and asked in a low voice, "Where is the Prince?"

The Ghost Doctor's eyes flickered, and he looked somewhat uneasy.

He lied and said, "His Highness is busy with important matters and doesn't have time lately."

Xu Yuehuai noticed the Ghost Doctor's unusual behavior, and her heart was filled with doubt. She knew Qi Hanlin's importance; he was one of the key figures in this three-nation alliance. If something happened to him, the entire plan could be affected.

Therefore, Xu Yuehuai decided to secretly investigate Qi Hanlin's whereabouts and find out what had happened.

Xu Yuehuai returned to the carriage, her face shrouded in gloom, her eyes revealing deep worry. Xia Sen and Bei Xuan exchanged a glance, both seeing surprise and uncertainty in each other's eyes.

Bei Xuan asked softly, "What's wrong, sister? What happened to the prince?"

Xu Yuehuai did not answer immediately. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down, before slowly saying, "I'm worried that something might have happened to the Prince."

These words were like a boulder dropped into a calm lake, leaving Xia Sen and Bei Xuan speechless with shock.

They were well aware of Qi Guze's influence; if anything were to happen to him, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Seeing their reactions, Xu Yuehuai felt worried as well, but she knew that now was not the time to panic.

She grasped Bei Xuan's hand and said firmly, "I will find the Prince as soon as possible, so you don't need to worry."

The procession continued towards the palace. When the palace servants saw Princess Beixuan's carriage, they all knelt down and bowed, saying, "Welcome, Princess Beixuan!"

Bei Xuan took a deep breath, knowing that her mission had only just begun. She couldn't let personal feelings dictate her actions at this time; she had to consider the bigger picture.

Xu Yuehuai, Xia Sen, and the others followed the imperial carriage, heading towards the inner palace.

Xu Yuehuai's brows were furrowed, her heart filled with worry and anxiety. She constantly observed the expressions of those around her, trying to find clues about Qi Guze's disappearance.

Xia Sen remained silent, observing everything in the palace, his eyes flashing with complex emotions.

Sitting in the imperial carriage, Bei Xuan was filled with conflict and struggle. She tightly gripped the jeweled crown in her hand, a symbol of her status as a princess and her responsibility.

The group finally arrived at the inner palace, where they were arranged to rest in a quiet palace.

Inside the palace, candlelight flickered, casting shadows on the exquisite murals and creating a mysterious and tranquil atmosphere.

Xu Yuehuai stood in the center of the palace, her expression solemn, her gaze piercing. Dressed in black with a sharp dagger at her waist, she appeared both cold and resolute. She took a deep breath and then called out loudly to her guards.

The guards quickly gathered from all directions, dressed in black bodysuits with their faces covered by black cloths, revealing only their sharp eyes. They knelt before Xu Yuehuai, awaiting her orders.
