Chapter 872 Dongsang Medicine Pool

She slowly opened her eyes and saw the Ghost Doctor's familiar, deep gaze. Her gratitude was beyond words.

She struggled to sit up: "Thank you for saving me, Doctor Ghost."

The Ghost Doctor gently shook his head: "It's what I should do." After saying that, he stood up: "You should rest well, I have other things to take care of."

The tent flap was lifted, and the afterglow of the setting sun shone on the ghost doctor's black figure.

He lifted his foot and walked outside, each step exuding unusual calmness.

Xu Yuehuai watched the Ghost Doctor's departing figure, then suddenly fainted again.

This time, she felt as if she were floating in a dark ocean, unable to struggle or wake up. Her consciousness gradually faded until she fell into a complete coma.

For the next few days, Xu Yuehuai remained in a coma. During this time, the Ghost Doctor stayed by her side to take care of her. He would come every day to check on her condition, change her dressings, and channel his internal energy into her to keep her vital signs stable.

Although Xu Yuehuai did not wake up, the Ghost Doctor knew that her vitality was gradually recovering.

Inside this makeshift tent, time seemed to slow down and feel heavy.

The Ghost Doctor sat beside Xu Yuehuai's bed, gazing at her face. Her complexion was pale, but her breathing gradually became steady. He gently stroked her hand, feeling her body temperature, and a complex emotion welled up in his heart.

"Has Aze not woken up yet?" Xu Yuehuai suddenly opened her eyes, her gaze filled with anxiety and worry.

"Hmm." The Ghost Doctor sighed in reply, "His injuries are too severe. His internal organs and meridians, which were damaged by the explosion, will need time to repair."

Xu Yuehua frowned deeply: "What should we do then?"

The Ghost Doctor pondered for a moment and said, "Only the Eastern Sang Kingdom has a medicinal pool that can treat his injuries from the explosion, and can promote tissue regeneration and healing."

A determined glint flashed in Xu Yuehuai's eyes: "Then let's set off for Dongsang immediately!"

The Ghost Doctor nodded: "Mm."

After the two finished their discussion, Xu Yuehuai immediately ordered Qi Guze's men to begin preparations.

The tent immediately became a hive of activity, with people moving back and forth, organizing their belongings and medicinal herbs.

Watching their busy figures, Xu Yuehuai felt a sense of relief. At this moment, she was no longer a lonely traveler, but a team with companions and support.

When Xu Yuehuai entered the main tent, the generals of the Great Zhou Kingdom were already waiting for him. Their expressions were serious, clearly showing their deep concern about the current situation.

"How is the princess?" a general asked.

Xu Yuehuai nodded and said firmly, "My body is fine now, you don't need to worry."

"We must act quickly. You take the soldiers back to the border city first and tell them to be wary of the people from Wuling Kingdom. The rest of the small group will come with me and take the prince to Dongsang for treatment."

The generals exchanged glances. Although they were somewhat worried, they also understood that the situation was urgent.

"OK!"

"I will follow the Princess's arrangements!"

"Let's act immediately!"

...

So they immediately agreed and began to act according to Xu Yuehuai's instructions.

After arranging everything, Xu Yuehuai breathed a sigh of relief. She turned and left the tent, heading towards Qi Guze's residence.

Upon entering Qi Guze's tent, Xu Yuehuai saw that he was covered in bandages, pale-faced, and unconscious.

Her heart sank, and her heartache was palpable.

"Aze, I'll wait for you to wake up," Xu Yuehuai said softly, her voice full of tenderness and love.

The journey ahead was arduous for Xu Yuehuai. She and the Ghost Doctor's group carried the severely injured and unconscious Qi Guze through mountains and rivers, enduring countless hardships.

Their destination was the Kingdom of Dongsang, where there was a legendary medicinal pool that was said to be able to heal Qi Guze's serious injuries.

After several days of arduous travel, Xu Yuehuai and his group were exhausted, but their hearts were filled with determination and resolve. Just when they thought they were about to reach the territory of Dongsang Kingdom, a sudden assassination attempt disrupted their plans.

The night was as dark as ink, concealing all the complexities and disturbances. Moonlight spilled onto the tranquil wilderness, its silvery glow contrasting sharply with the inky black sky, creating a scene reminiscent of another world.

On this moonlit night, Xu Yuehuai, the Ghost Doctor, and Qi Guze's guards are going through a life-or-death struggle.

Xu Yuehuai, a woman clad in a black robe, held a long sword, her eyes resolute and sharp. She frowned, as if she had sensed something unusual in the air.

Her heartbeat echoed in the silent night, mingling with the assassin's footsteps. She felt an inexplicable pressure, like a chill running down her spine.

"Watch out—!" Xu Yuehuai suddenly shouted, his long sword already thrusting towards an assassin lurking in the shadows.

The sword clashed with the assassin's blade, producing a piercing metallic clang. Other assassins approached them silently, like ghosts, their blades gleaming coldly in the moonlight, sending chills down their spines.

A fierce battle erupted instantly, with flashing swords and cleavers cutting through the air as flesh and blood clashed violently with cold weapons.

Xu Yuehuai's agile figure moved like lightning across the wilderness in the night. Her swordsmanship was fierce, each swing of her sword carrying a sharp momentum, as if she wanted to cut through any obstacle.

Her gaze was firm and sharp, as if she could see through all illusions and falsehoods.

These assassins were highly skilled and clearly had undergone rigorous training. They had only one target: the critically injured and unconscious Qi Guze.

"Protect Master!" Qi Guze's guards drew their weapons, fighting desperately against the assassins' attacks. Their eyes were filled with determination and resolve; they were willing to pay any price to protect Qi Guze.

However, the assassins were numerous, and their attacks grew increasingly fierce. One of them even seized the opportunity to rush towards Qi Guze's carriage, his sharp blade slicing through the night sky.

Upon seeing this, Xu Yuehuai immediately rushed over. She moved with lightning speed, instantly arriving in front of the carriage. With a single sword strike, she forced the assassin back.

Immediately afterwards, she and her guards formed a defensive line, vowing to protect Qi Guze to the death. The battle intensified, and the air was thick with the stench of blood.

The guards' clothes were soaked with sweat, clinging to their skin like a second layer. Yet, despite their exhaustion, their eyes remained resolute, showing no sign of retreat.

He gripped his weapons tightly, whether they were spears, broadswords, or hammers, as if they were something that breathed with his life.

Xu Yuehuai's sword flashed with a sharp light, and every strike was filled with a killing intent.

Her gaze was icy cold, as if capable of freezing all hostility and evil thoughts. The instant the sword tip pointed, a bolt of lightning seemed to flash through the air, silent yet extremely sharp.
