Concrete spiritual power

Concrete spiritual power

Ever since that day when she and Her Majesty Alyssa cried together (?), Gabriel had consciously cast herself in the role of a wet nurse, a mother to the fragile Worm Mother. Since the Worm Mother had grown up in human society and had lacked so much parental love, it was up to Gabriel to fill that void.

Alyssa's feet needed serious treatment. Gabriel could barely contain the tears as he peeled back the tightly wrapped strips of cloth from Alyssa's feet. The strips had been soaked in alum to hold them in place, and the fibers had lost their tension, becoming as stiff as the chitinous outer layer left behind by a Zerg molt.

"Mammy, why... why do we have to unbind our feet?" Alyssa could now pronounce some insect names more accurately, but Gabriel really liked Alyssa calling her Mammy, so this name was retained.

Gabriel, Seville, and Vio have united to form the Alliance to Protect Her Majesty Alyssa. Gabriel will oversee the overall situation and meticulously care for Alyssa's daily needs; Vio will be responsible for Alyssa's well-being; and Seville will continue to search through the vast historical records of mankind to identify past mistakes that may have caused Her Majesty Alyssa trauma, especially any mental misconceptions, which must be slowly corrected. In short, Her Majesty Alyssa must never again consider calling herself a "slave."

Furthermore, Seville also suggested that Her Majesty Alyssa's transformation plan should be kept secret from her.

Sewell explained, "I don't think we can just come right out and say, 'Your Highness, this is wrong. Here's what you should do.' I'm sure you've seen that due to the abuse she's suffered in the past, Her Highness is very insecure and timid, with almost no opinions of her own. If we continue to lecture and discipline her like the humans who tamed her in the past, it will be very detrimental to her rebuilding her confidence and becoming a powerful insect queen."

Gabriel scanned Seville from head to toe. "Sevier, I now believe you truly care about His Majesty. And I fully approve of your joining. Perhaps your years of thinking like a weakling will earn His Majesty's favor at this moment."

Seville didn't know if Lord Gabriel's compliments were intentional or deliberate. He then turned to Vio, "Lord Vio, besides helping Her Majesty Alyssa recover quickly, I'm also wondering if you have any ideas for the medication that inhibits the secretion of sex hormones in her central nervous system?"

Vio nodded. "I will develop a corresponding medicine as soon as possible based on the blood sample that has been extracted from His Majesty."

Sewell: "Let me remind you that your potion development cannot be based on Zerg aptamers. You must fully consider that Her Majesty Alyssa is currently a complete human mimic."

Vio fell into deep thought.

While Gabriel might seem to be overseeing the overall situation within the Guardian Alliance, Severus was the one actually making the proposals. Gabriel couldn't help but admire Severus's intelligence. His past dandyism might have been due to his understanding that fighting was futile in the Zerg's jungle laws. Now, facing a Zerg supreme leader who shared his own weaknesses, he immediately recognized this opportunity and began to put his best foot forward.

For example, he had already discussed with Gabrielvio in advance any questions that Her Majesty Alyssa might raise.

So, in response to Her Majesty Alyssa's question about why she wanted to unbind her feet, Gabriel simply looked up and asked with a smile, "The feet of humans and Zerg are like the roots of a tree. The stronger the roots, the better the tree will grow. Does Her Majesty want to grow taller?"

Alyssa: “!”

Of course she wanted to grow taller. In a world where the average insect was two meters tall, she, less than 1.6 meters tall, had to use a step stool to sit on a chair that wasn't custom-made for her height.

The Worm Queen's bedroom is on the top floor of the Pompeii. Gabriel has been paying attention to clearing the area these days, but looking out of the porthole of the Worm Queen's bedroom, one can still see some worker worms wearing space suits working outside the ship.

The average height of the workers selected for the Pompeii was over two meters and two hundred. After observing for a few days, Alyssa found that the only person shorter than her on the entire Pompeii was the amusing little robot, Pineapple.

Your mindset will be influenced by your environment. Since everyone is so tall and has big feet... then Alyssa thinks she needs to grow a little taller, and it doesn't matter if her feet are a little bigger, right?

After removing the three-meter-long strip of cloth, Gabriel tried his best to keep his expression unchanged and soaked the insect mother's feet in the prepared healing agent.

Alyssa's feet had become hardened from long-term foot binding. The healing agent softened the keratin on her skin and activated her self-healing cells. The feeling of bones re-growing made Alyssa very uncomfortable. She gasped softly, and her eyes almost immediately became moist.

"Your Highness Alyssa, are you feeling unwell?" Gabriel knelt on one knee, stroking her feet and asked worriedly.

Of course it wasn't comfortable. The numbness, itchiness, and pain that spread up from my feet was no less painful than the first time I had my feet bound.

But Sister Gabriel seemed to be in even greater pain than she was.

"Mammy, are you okay?"

Gabriel forced out a somewhat twisted smile: "Your Highness Alyssa, I'm fine."

"But I feel that Mammy is unhappy..."

"How do you feel?"

“That’s it…” Alyssa raised her little finger, and the materialized mental power was like stringy honey, with one end stuck to Gabriel and the other end connected to her little finger.

“!!!”

Gabriel was so shocked that he was speechless.

The Thorne family's records never mentioned a single insect mother's spiritual power being able to materialize! The fact that it could be seen with the naked eye showed just how condensed Her Majesty Alyssa's spiritual power was!

"Your Majesty! You... can your mental strength always remain like this?"

Not really.

From childhood, Alyssa had always been more perceptive than others, particularly adept at reading expressions. Yet, she had never been able to cultivate a concrete form of mental power. Returning to Zerg territory, freed from the pain in her wing sacs, Alyssa, though relatively weak in pheromone perception, had spontaneously mastered new abilities. Her feeble mental power was like a snail's tentacles, capable of sensing a being's emotions upon contact.

"Your Majesty! You...! You will indeed be the leader who will lead our Zerg's transformation!" Gabriel shook Alyssa's hand, and the greater physical contact allowed Gabriel's surprise to be fully conveyed. Alyssa was also infected by Gabriel's emotion: Mammy was really praising her, right?

Gabriel was filled with confidence in Her Majesty Alyssa's future. Despite her frail frame, she possessed such a concentrated spiritual power. Once they had nursed Her Majesty back to health and she had transformed into a second chrysalis, perhaps Her Majesty Alyssa would become the strongest of all insect queens!

Just as Gabriel was playing with the small psychic tentacle that emerged from the fingertips of Her Majesty the Insect Queen, her brain communication rang.

Gabriel's expression darkened immediately. A communication that would sound while she was serving the Worm Queen was likely not good news.

She confessed to Alyssa, walked to a position where she could see Alyssa and was sure that she could not hear clearly, and clicked on the communication.

A subordinate's anxious voice echoed from the other end of the intelligent computer: "Lord Gabriel, news of Her Majesty the Worm Mother's successful rescue has been leaked. The commanders of the Second and Third Legions are now leading their troops to the Saint Hobel Palace, expressing their desire to see Her Majesty as soon as possible. High-ranking families have also sent inquiries one after another. How should this situation be handled?"

Gabriel almost couldn't control the strength of his hands and crushed the intelligent computer.

Around the Worm Mother, the crew of the Pompeii were all trustworthy Worms that she had strictly selected. Unexpectedly, the Legion's claws stretched so far that the information about the Worm Mother's rescue, which she had repeatedly ordered the entire Pompeii to keep strictly secret, was leaked out!

The rescue of the Worm Queen was, of course, a cause for celebration worth announcing to the entire clan, but not now. Gabriel glanced again at Alyssa, who was bathing her feet with a confused expression. She was playing with a pineapple using her psychic tentacles.

How can a Zerg Queen like this, whose body and mind are damaged by past experiences and who is timid, meet those battle-hardened military-faction Zergs whose pheromones are more pungent than Houttuynia cordata?

The Zerg Queen always had to face the public. She also wanted to help Her Majesty Alyssa recuperate, instill some Zerg common sense in her, and let her learn the Zerg common language before holding a grand debut. Who knew these military-affiliated Zerg would chase after her at the first whiff of blood?

She even suspected that the Zerg faction had already obtained Her Majesty Alyssa's image, which was why they dared to rush directly to the Saint Joseph Palace! Based on the speed of the battleship, it was likely that the Zerg faction would reach the Saint Joseph Palace before the Pompeii!

When Gabriel finally adjusted his expression and returned to Alyssa, she was playing fishing with a pineapple using a thin rope condensed from her spiritual power. Seeing Gabriel coming, her fair face was full of joy: "Mammy, look!"

Gradually accustoming herself to the Zerg, Alyssa truly felt the affection of her mother's companions. The childish nature she had suppressed for twenty years began to emerge. After overcoming her initial trepidation and fear, she began to find everything new and exciting, especially the common sense documentaries Pineapple had shown her. She began to seek praise from Gabriel and act like a spoiled child.

Oh! her poor, sweet lord!

Gabriel's venom was turned into honey by Alyssa's cuteness.

After praising the Insect Mother's flexible use of her mental power, Gabriel finally warned her with concern, "Your Majesty, you must conceal your mental power from Insects other than myself, Seville, and Vio."

"Besides you, other bugs wouldn't like it?"

"It's not that I don't like them. It's just that most of the insects outside of us are a bunch of rude, unappreciative fools with only muscle in their heads. They might offend your young spiritual power. Once you pupate a second time and expand your spiritual sea, your spiritual power will be free from any constraints."

Alyssa still didn’t quite understand, but she was a good and obedient child.

"Okay, let's stop soaking our feet today." Gabriel gently inserted the soft rubber retainer that helps to spread the toes between Alyssa's toes. Alyssa burst into tears again.

"Mammy, it's not easy to walk like this..."

"Your Highness, I'd appreciate it if you didn't walk while your foot heals." Gabriel lifted the Worm Queen into his arms, like a human would a baby. "I'll carry you for the duration."

Alyssa’s face flushed red: “Mammy, no, no need, I’m an adult, how can I let you carry me away…”

"Your Highness, you are not yet an adult. Your second pupation is the stage of your adulthood. The average lifespan of our Zerg is over 200 years old. Even if you were to calculate based on the years you have spent in human society, you would still be a youngster at the age of 20."

"Is that so?" Alyssa expressed her doubt. Because through the extensive physical contact, she could clearly sense that Aunt Gabriel seemed to be excited just holding her!
