Chapter 27 is kind of weirdly attractive.

"Your Highness, it's time to get up..."

The next day, Qin Zhaoyue woke up again before dawn.

Who would understand? She's transmigrated, and she's a princess with a noble status, but all she's done these past few days is sleep in, and the rest of the time she's forced to wake up before dark.

This show is awful, I'd rather not wear it!

On the large, soft bed, Qin Zhaoyue turned over, using her large buttocks to make her stance clear.

After whining and dawdling for almost half an hour, Tao Yao was nearly in tears when she finally got up under Sui Mo's strong pressure.

I'll tell you I'm not on her side!

"Your Highness, it's too late..."

Qin Zhaoyue yawned and calmly waved her hand.

She's figured it out in the last few days: she gets up so early because she needs to put on makeup and change clothes.

She firmly refused to put on makeup or dress up; the morning was just a superficial effort, and the rest of the time was spent traveling.

She wasn't the main character, and besides, it was so hot, she couldn't be bothered to do it.

The maids couldn't persuade her otherwise, so they had to use none of the clothes they had prepared and could only take out a set of tight-fitting clothes that had already been packed up.

Sui Mo sighed. Oh well, if I don't want to wear it, I don't want to wear it.

She pulled out an inner armor from behind her back. "Your Highness, this is a soft armor made of gold silk, impervious to swords and spears."

Qin Zhaoyue: ! There's actually such a good thing.

I took it in one go. It was very light and a little cool to the touch. "How can something so light be invulnerable?" I was so happy with it that I quickly put it on.

"This is the golden silk spun by silkworms in the snowy mountains of the Western Regions when they are nine years old. Each silkworm can only produce seven inches of usable silk."

A thousand silkworms twisted together into a single strand, then immersed in the cold springs of Kunlun for forty-nine days to temper it, turning the silk color from bright gold to dark gold.

It can not only block swords and spears, but can even reduce the penetration of true energy to some extent.

Qin Zhaoyue's eyes lit up instantly. Good stuff!

"Okay! From now on, you are my half-sister."

Sui Mo was horrified. How could someone spout such nonsense? He immediately knelt on one knee, "Your subordinate dares not!"

Even though she was a centurion of the Azure Phoenix Guard, it was impossible for her to possess something so valuable.

This came from His Majesty's private treasury; as far as she knew, even the eldest princess didn't have it, so it was given to the sixth princess.

This is an unparalleled honor, and the worst part is that His Majesty won't let her say it. This is truly...

Qin Zhaoyue waved her hand dismissively, "Hurry up and change me."

The upper body is not heavy. The soft armor is somewhat flexible, but it doesn't feel stuffy. Wearing it gives you a great sense of security.

My gloomy mood finally improved a bit, since I hadn't put on makeup or dressed up yet, and I still had some time.

An exceptionally lavish breakfast was served in the main hall.

This trip will take at least two or three months, and by the time they return to the capital, it will probably be autumn. Qin Zhaoyue is reluctant to leave.

Even though she was reluctant, she had to go. She ate until her belly was round and full before heading out with a bare face.

Without any ceremonial entourage, besides bringing Tao Yao, Sui Mo and twelve of her Azure Phoenix Guards accompanied her as maids.

The five people we just recruited are not needed by the painter, so we'll keep them in the capital to prepare those stories.

Qin Zhaoyue has already made arrangements; the book will be published and distributed directly, and she might become a wealthy woman by the time she returns to the capital.

The calculations are actually quite useful, whether it's calculating provisions, collecting and consuming supplies, or overall planning.

However, it wasn't her responsibility to make the decisions. The person in charge this time was the Junior Director of the Bureau of Civil Affairs, so there was no need for her to send someone to do the calculations.

Besides these two, the remaining three—Ping An, Fang Shi, and Xi Fa Shi—accompanied them.

At 2:45 AM, at the Vermilion Bird Gate.

Empress Wu Zetian, adorned with a nine-embroidered hairpin, led civil and military officials to see off the disaster relief team.

Five thousand imperial guards, their long spears forming a forest, exuded an aura of authority and power.

The three at the very front of the formation, with the only remaining junior officer of the Wanmin Division in the center;

On the left, the eldest princess, clad in flowing cloud armor, looked heroic and valiant.

The fifth prince on the right wore a spotless blue silk robe, his blue shirt as white as jade.

Qin Zhaoyue stood far away, her hands tucked into her pockets, squinting as she looked ahead.

Even though she wasn't officially part of the disaster relief team, she was still a princess and should have been at the forefront, but she insisted on not joining in the fun.

If they could see the Queen Mother before setting off, they could throw a tantrum and beg for mercy.

At this time, with civil and military officials in front of them and the disaster relief team about to set off, making a scene would definitely not end well.

Since the outcome can't be changed, why bother getting involved?

I was naive. I told the truth when asked, and then they said I was pardoned. Pshaw!

Can you just blurt out the truth? Those are things you only say to yourself!

Sigh, I was too eager for quick success and wanted to get it all done at once.

It's better to continue playing dumb; at least you won't get into this mess.

From now on, it's better to just go along with things superficially and enjoy some peace and quiet...

A muttered thought surfaced in Qin Minghuang's mind. Her gaze swept across the array and she spotted Xiao Liu at the back.

The moment their eyes met, Xiao Liu immediately lowered his head, his expression unreadable.

Qin Minghuang's heart sank slightly. It seemed that this tough decision had alienated the child.

She is indeed in her prime, but the sooner she designates a crown princess, the smoother the transition to the second-generation empress will be.

Just as Xiao Liu commented in the Imperial Study, the shortcomings of the three daughters were very obvious, so he had not made up his mind for a long time.

Xiao Liu's special abilities and intelligence showed Qin Minghuang another possibility. Sending her along this time had nothing to do with punishment. Although the "old mother" was really angry about this, it was all for the purpose of testing her.

Having witnessed the beauty of the land and its people, and experienced flood relief efforts, will one still choose to conceal their abilities and character?

"Hey, I'm talking to you."

Sui Mo raised his head slightly and caught a glimpse of the Sixth Princess beside him, whose mouth was slightly opening and closing. Shu Yin transmitted a message: "Your Highness, please be patient. We will be setting off soon."

Qin Zhaoyue glanced at the other person out of the corner of her eye; their mouth and throat didn't move at all, completely different from her own pretense of not speaking.
