Chapter 3 Think about who you've offended.

Who wants to force his father to take this step? Who benefits most from the alliance between the Prime Minister's Mansion and the Sixth Princess's Mansion?

Before anything was resolved, a languid voice came from the head of the table again.

"Forget it, I was just being delusional. What could a greenhorn like you possibly know?"

"Remember this. Go back and ask your father. Once you have the answer, send someone to deliver a message. I want to see who dares to lay a hand on me."

"Someone, show them out! What bad luck..."

Pei Xueqiao was dazed and confused when the servants "invited" her out.

Before attending the banquet, he was the eldest son of a prime minister, a top scholar, and a talented man pursued by countless women.

After attending the banquet, I was inexplicably drugged, twisted my body, thrown over the courtyard wall, doused with cold water, and subjected to a brutal form of psychological manipulation. It was awful...

Qin Zhaoyue felt sorry for him for a moment, but then she forgot about it. What did it matter that he was the prime minister's son? Nothing was more important than her own life.

They should be considered to have passed this hurdle; they weren't caught in the act, and any subsequent attempts to overturn the facts were limited to conflicting accounts.

I breathed a sigh of relief, but then I got hungry. There wasn't much to eat at the banquet.

She instructed the servants to prepare a meal, and when she was alone in the hall, she took out the booklet from her lower back.

Upon closer inspection, there was indeed nothing inside.

hiss!

Qin Zhaoyue frowned, cut her right index finger, and blood immediately flowed out.

Paper cut!

Amazingly, the blood did not seep into the pages, but instead flowed slowly on the cover, condensing into three small characters.

The characters were so thin; it must have been difficult, managing to create three characters from a single drop of blood.

A book of merit? What's that?

The next moment, the book disappeared and appeared out of thin air in my mind.

Qin Zhaoyue quickly focused her attention and saw that the three characters "Book of Merit" on the cover had turned into a gleaming gold foil.

Without a doubt, this is a boon for time travelers: a cheat code.

Upon opening the cover, two sentences appeared on the title page, seemingly out of nowhere.

The first sentence explains the function of the Merit Book: by accumulating merit, one can exchange it for martial arts cultivation.

Just kidding, she's a princess, an imperial princess, second only to the emperor, above all others, why would she need to learn martial arts?

The second sentence mentions that the gift was given as part of the merit book, but it doesn't specify what was given.

Qin Zhaoyue carefully examined herself and found nothing unusual.

She remains as beautiful as a flower, as frail as ever, and as incredibly witty as ever.

Is this some kind of cheat system? At least give us some space, spiritual springs, fertile soil, or something.

After pondering for a while without making any progress, hot dishes and rice were served first, along with her other personal maid, Jiang Xue.

"Your Highness, why did you return to your residence ahead of schedule? Did the plan go smoothly?"

Qin Zhaoyue smiled faintly and continued eating and drinking, while the hall fell silent.

"Your Highness?"

The smile on his lips widened. How dare he! I wonder if he was too spoiled before or if he took advantage of the original owner's lack of intelligence.

In the current atmosphere, the maid actually dared to ask questions.

"Qingfeng, restrain her."

"yes!"
