Luo Youyou looked at her in surprise. The wound on her neck had disappeared, but she could faintly smell the scent of blood rose in her body, the same as Boris's, but fainter.
"Father!" Tang Xiu and Jing Yan blurted out almost at the same time, their expressions and tones rarely matching.
Boris's bite just now injected the toxin on his teeth into the girl's blood. The girl turned into a vampire, but not a real vampire. She merely existed as a slave.
Slaves are a significant threat to vampires. A toxin is injected into a human's body through their teeth, causing their blood to change, forcing them to pledge allegiance to the poison's master and become a slave. This is another form of the Embrace. Slaves may not disobey their masters' orders, but they retain their own consciousness; no one is born with the desire to be a slave. The toxin gradually weakens over time, requiring the master to periodically inject new toxins into the slave's body.
There had been riots among slaves. Because the power disparity between the Demon Party led by the Lesomba tribe and the Secret Party was so great, they took the risk and embraced a large number of slaves, throwing them into battle like cannon fodder. The resentment of the slaves towards them can be imagined.
Because of the large number of slaves, the poison in some slaves' bodies gradually disappeared, and they were not discovered by their masters. They remained obedient. Finally, the number of slaves who were freed increased, and a rebellion broke out. However, this rebellion was not a large-scale battle, but was carried out secretly. Because they had the trust of their masters, they acted in secret and then threw the blame on the secret party.
When the masters found out, there were even fewer pure-blooded vampires in the Lesomba tribe, and the only elders left were Boris and Tang Xiu's father. They ordered the execution of all the slaves and strictly prohibited the existence of slaves from then on.
Boris embraced a slave for the first time tonight. Tang Xiu was furious but didn't dare to speak out. Jing Yan was also worried.
"From today on, you must stay by her side, serve her, and never disobey her orders!" Boris said, looking into the girl's eyes.
"Yes." The girl bowed again.
Luo Youyou had no idea what was going on, but she had heard Jing Yan say that being bitten wouldn't be fatal and wouldn't turn her into a vampire, so she thought Boris was just hypnotizing her.
"Then can I take her away?" Luo Youyou's eyes sparkled, and she felt proud of having saved someone.
Boris nodded, a smile in the corners of his eyes.
Luo Youyou took the girl's hand and was about to leave, but Tang Xiu suddenly stopped them and said to Boris, "Father! We can't keep this girl!" After that, before anyone could react, he grabbed the girl and threw her out of the window.
There was a scream outside the window. Luo Youyou hurried to the window to look. The girl had fallen to the ground, her brain splattered, and her eyes staring at her as if she was still alive.
Luo Youyou instantly felt her stomach churning, anger and fear rushing into her heart. She turned around and was about to attack Tang Xiu when she saw the rage burning in Boris's eyes. The oppressive feeling emanating from his body made her suffocate. Jing Yan and Tang Xiu stared at him with fear in their eyes.
"You actually disobeyed my order!" Boris bared his fangs, his green eyes were dark and mysterious, and his voice seemed to come from hell, echoing throughout the room.
Tang Xiu knelt down with a thud, Jing Yan also knelt down, Luo Youyou was also afraid, but she held it in. She had never knelt to anyone in her life, so how could she possibly kneel to a monster!
Luo Youyou didn't see Boris's movements clearly. She just blinked her eyes. When she opened them again, she saw Boris biting Tang Xiu's neck. Tang Xiu's expression was ferocious with pain, but he didn't dare to resist and let Boris suck his blood.
"Father, Tang Xiu is doing this for the good of our Lesomba people. Please show some mercy!" Jing Yan knelt at Boris's feet, pulling at his trouser legs and begging for mercy. "We don't have many pure bloodlines left. If we lose Tang Xiu..."
Boris let go of Tang Xiu, with blood still on the corner of his mouth. He didn't intend to kill him, but just wanted to teach him a lesson and let him know that his father's orders must be obeyed.
Luo Youyou looked at the scene in front of her in shock. Boris usually had a smile on his face, but when he got angry he was like a monster and no army could stop him.
She couldn't help but feel a little scared. She had always been disrespectful in front of him. Fortunately, he always treated her as a child and didn't make a fuss with her. It seemed that she had to be careful when speaking in front of this person in the future.
"I... I have to go back, otherwise Ya Xi will worry." Luo Youyou lowered her head to hide her fear, but anyone could see her panic.
"Jing Yan, send her back and take good care of her!" Boris calmed down and looked at Luo Youyou with a smile in his eyes, as if he didn't want to be scared by the scene just now.
But in Luo Youyou's eyes, this smile looked like a knife. However, he let her go, which still made her feel relieved. She had always thought that she would never be able to go back today.
Jing Yan didn't drive, instead dragging Luo Youyou back. He knew Boris's orders were unbreakable. He had decided to make Luo Youyou a princess, and he would do it. So, starting today, he would be responsible for training her in every aspect to increase the chances of a successful First Embrace. But her blood... he didn't dare think about it. He would find another opportunity to bring it up with Boris.
"Don't blame Tang Xiu. He did this for the safety of our Lesomba people." When they arrived at the apartment door, Jing Yan said to Luo Youyou.
Luo Youyou lowered her head and said nothing. The wild run along the way made her feel much calmer, but it could not completely dispel the fear in her heart.
"If it weren't for the slave rebellion, the Lesomba tribe would not have declined so quickly, and his father might not have died." Jing Yan continued to explain.
