Chapter 15 Hunting

Boris never allowed Jing Yan to get close to an ancient forest like this, but Luo Youyou had already disappeared in the forest. Jing Yan gritted his teeth and ran in. This girl was so curious that she could really kill the cat.

There are layers of dense forests and huge trees with tangled roots, making it impossible to tell their age. Boris said that those plants and trees that are thousands of years old are all spiritual and if you disrespect them, you will be retaliated against. Of course, these are all legends and no one has verified them.

Jing Yan looked at the trees around him and unconsciously slowed down his pace. The branches swayed in the wind, looking hideous and terrifying, as if each one was staring at him ferociously.

Luo Youyou's expression was completely different from Jing Yan's serious one. She looked extremely excited, with sparkling eyes. She looked left and right curiously, and jumped from time to time to jump over the branches blocking her way.

The evening breeze made the leaves rustle, and from time to time birds were startled and flew towards the sky in groups. Apart from these, it was eerily quiet, and from time to time you could hear the hissing sound of snakes spitting out their tongues.

Jing Yan looked at Luo Youyou's back. Could it be that she was just a newborn calf that was not afraid of a tiger? How could this girl not know what fear was? Thinking about it, it made sense. If she knew what fear was, she wouldn't have gone to the castle with them so easily.

When they reached the top of the mountain, the towering trees blocked the starry sky. Luo Youyou found the tallest tree nearby, jumped up in a few jumps, and stood on the top of the tree to look at the scenery. Although it was night and the forest was pitch black and a little scary, ever since his ability awakened, his eyes became surprisingly good at night.

Jing Yan also climbed up, and the two of them stood on a thick branch, looking around. On the top of a mountain with such a high altitude, the wind was not very strong because of the shade of the trees. With the help of the moonlight, it made people feel very comfortable. After experiencing such a life-and-death duel, Luo Youyou felt very comfortable at this moment.

She pricked up her ears to listen to the sounds in the forest, the rustling of leaves, the occasional chirping of birds, and the roars of wild beasts. As she listened, Luo Youyou suddenly laughed.

"What are you laughing at!" Jing Yan asked in confusion.

"I heard the sound of two wild boars mating!" Luo Youyou continued to laugh.

Jing Yan tilted his ear and listened carefully, but he couldn't distinguish the sounds of two wild boars from such a complex sound, so he just listened embarrassedly. This girl's ability has surpassed his own, and this realization made him secretly unhappy.

As she laughed, Luo Youyou's sight stopped at a bright light in the distance. The light was hidden in the forest, appearing and disappearing like the butt of a firefly. She pointed at the light and asked, "What is that?"

Jing Yan looked over and shook his head.

Luo Youyou stepped forward and jumped onto another tree in that direction. Jing Yan wanted to stop her, but he was a step too late. The branches under his feet swayed and he almost fell down. Seeing that Luo Youyou had already jumped far away in a few leaps, he had no choice but to follow her. However, just as he jumped one step, he heard a scream, followed by a plop. The girl was too excited and didn't hold on tightly when she jumped onto a tree, so she fell straight down.

Jing Yan also heard her breaking countless branches as she fell, and finally she landed on the ground with a dull thud.

Jing Yan jumped down from that direction and was about to ask her if she was hurt. After all, this uncle was not much shorter than the building made of blocks. But then he realized that something was wrong. He was so worried about Luo Youyou that he didn't even notice the smell.

It's no wonder he didn't notice. There were so many animals in this forest, and the smells were all mixed together, so it was normal for him to ignore it for a moment. Luo Youyou leaned against a tree, Jing Yan protecting her behind him. In front of them were pairs of green eyes, staring at them fiercely...

P.S. Guys, guess what these green eyes are, meh haha.
