Chapter 16 You Are the Devil

"Youyou! Wake up! Let's go!" Jing Yan suddenly grabbed her and yelled.

Luo Youyou was in a trance, and her sanity seemed to have returned. She looked back at Jing Yan, then at the wolf, and the next second she pulled Jing Yan and rushed out of the cave. However, before they ran ten meters out of the cave, a wide branch stopped them, as if it had consciousness, and threw them into the air. The touch was just like the tree she had touched before, and it hurt like a needle.

Luo Youyou suddenly gave an evil smile in mid-air, turned around, and without any assistance, he pushed his feet, changed the direction of the parabola, and leaped towards the big tree.

Jing Yan fell straight to the ground. He stood up and looked up at her, and saw Luo Youyou flying and kicking the big tree. She didn't know where the strength came from, but the thick tree that required four people to hug was shaken by her kick.

Luo Youyou landed on the ground with a thud, firmly supporting the ground without shaking. When he looked up again, he saw a faint light coming out of the tree, and then a vague figure like a soul floated out from the trunk.

Luo Youyou and Jing Yan were both stunned. It was a translucent figure, naked, and looked like a child of about thirteen or fourteen. Its hair was tied into countless small braids. It looked more like branches than hair. The child glared at Luo Youyou angrily without saying a word, but there seemed to be a voice in Luo Youyou's head questioning, "Why did you hit me!"

That look is willful and cute.

Luo Youyou laughed and said to the child, "Why would I hit you if you didn't provoke me? You asked for it!"

Jing Yan watched Luo Youyou talking to the child and looked at her in shock.

"Little girl, are you a little fairy from a tree?" Luo Youyou reached out and pinched the child's face. It was soft, but it felt unreal.

"You are the little fairy on the tree! I am an elf! The elf of this tree!" The elf glared angrily and shook off Luo Youyou's hand, obviously dissatisfied with her unreasonable behavior.

Luo Youyou laughed out loud, "Isn't that a little goblin?"

"Wait!" Jing Yan interrupted her, "Are you talking to her?"

Luo Youyou nodded.

Jing Yan was even more surprised. "What did she say? Why can't I hear it?"

"Little girl, why can't he hear it?" Luo Youyou turned and asked the elf.

The elf glanced at Jing Yan and said, "He has no wisdom and doesn't understand the Elvish language."

"Elf language? Are you speaking Elvish to me? How can I understand it?" Luo Youyou was also surprised.

"You!" The elf pointed a finger at Luo Youyou's nose with a serious expression, "You are a devil!"

Luo Youyou laughed heartily, stretched out his hands and pinched the elf's face, shaking it from side to side. "You look like this, and you still dare to call me a devil! I think you look more like a ghost!"

The elf screamed and threw Luo Youyou away, then pointed at Jing Yan, "He can't touch me!"

Luo Youyou looked at Jing Yan suspiciously, "You come and pinch this little goblin's face and try it out."

The elf snorted and glanced away. Jing Yan hesitated for a moment and reached out, but after waving his hand over the elf for a long time, the elf seemed transparent to him and he couldn't catch it at all.

Luo Youyou looked at it in surprise, it really couldn't be touched.

"Do you believe it now?" The elf pouted angrily, looking very cute.

"Okay, I believe he can't touch you, but why am I a devil?" Luo Youyou looked at it and laughed.

The elf stared at her for a moment, then shook his head. "A devil is a devil. He was born a devil!"

Luo Youyou pinched her face again and patiently explained, "I'm just a human being who's different from ordinary people. Remember? If I hear you slander me again, I'll pinch your face until it swells up!"

After hearing this threat, the elf looked at her with tears in his eyes as if he had been wronged.

"Oh, it's so cute!" Luo Youyou simply held its face with both hands and started kneading it.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!" The elf screamed and tried hard to shake off Luo Youyou's "claws", but facing her, it seemed completely powerless.

"Are there any other elves? Come out and play with us." Luo Youyou had pinched enough, let go of her hands, asked with interest, and looked around.

The elf shook his head, pointed at the trees around him and said, "They are too young to transform into human form." His tone was very lonely.

Luo Youyou burst into laughter, "You look only about twelve or thirteen years old!"

"But my actual age is 1694!" The elf stomped his feet in dissatisfaction.

"Youyou!" Jing Yan watched Luo Youyou having a great time playing with the elves, leaving him all alone. Although he couldn't bear to interrupt, seeing that daybreak was about to break, he said, "We have to go back."

Luo Youyou looked up and saw that the sky was already turning slightly white. She didn't care, but Jing Yan couldn't. He could only look at the elf awkwardly and said, "Kid, I'm leaving!"

The elf suddenly reached out and grabbed Luo Youyou's arm, and asked with a pleading look in his eyes, "Will you come again tomorrow?"

Luo Youyou found it funny. It had just attacked them ferociously and pretended to be a ghost, but now it was begging him pitifully. He asked him to give it a tail so that it could shake it up to the sky.

"It depends on the situation!" Luo Youyou said with a wicked smile.

The elf burst into tears and pulled Luo Youyou's arm like a spoiled child, saying, "Come on, come on!"

Luo Youyou patted its head, nodded helplessly, and said that it was 1694 years old, just like a child!

Seeing Luo Youyou's agreement, the elf immediately stopped crying and smiled, blinking. For over a thousand years, it had been alone, unseen and unable to leave the tree. Although it knew there were other elves like it, it had no chance of meeting them. Its only hope of escaping loneliness was to wait for the surrounding trees to grow and take human form. However, the largest of the surrounding trees was only a few years old, with many more years to go. Finally finding one it could talk to, it couldn't let go.
