Chapter 68: Not a Dream

Luo Youyou approached slowly, as if it was a very fun thing to let the prey feel the fear before death. She stared at Jiayi with an evil smile on her lips, as if she was going to devour him in the next second, or the next second.

Jiayi gripped the wooden sword tightly and stabbed the tip of the sword into Yuri's heart. Yuri screamed "Ah" and his face turned pale.

Luo Youyou paused for a moment, and the red in her eyes faded a little, but was soon dyed blood red again. The smile on her face disappeared, and her expression became somewhat painful, as if some force was fighting in her body.

Seeing that she was still approaching, Jiayi thrust the wooden sword deeper. Yuri's face became even paler and lifeless, and his eyes were somewhat dull.

Luo Youyou paused again, this time the pause lasted a few seconds longer than the last time. The red in her eyes faded even more, and her expression became more painful.

"Youyou! Wake up quickly!" Jing Yan shouted desperately beside Yuri. If she didn't wake up, Jiayi might really kill Yuri.

Luo Youyou's gaze fell on Jing Yan, as if she was thinking about something. There were two souls fighting fiercely in her body. She stopped where she was and did not move closer.

Jiayi drew out the wooden sword. He knew that neither Yuri nor Jing Yan could die now. If they died, he would lose even his last bargaining chip. He extended the nail of his index finger and scratched Yuri's wrist with a swish. Yuri's blood spurted out from the wound that penetrated deep into the flesh of his wrist.

Jiayi pointed Yuri's wrist at Luo Youyou, and the blood splattered on her face and body. Luo Youyou sniffed it, then suddenly hugged her head and screamed, and finally collapsed to the ground and fainted.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself lying on the soft round bed. She felt weak all over, and felt like there was a force wandering in her body, but with no landing point and nowhere to rest.

She supported her weak body and got out of bed. She was covered in sweat, and the stickiness made her uncomfortable. She felt like she had had a long dream. In the dream, she turned into a complete monster, with blood-red eyes, sharp fangs, and attacked everywhere without any purpose.

She really thought it was just a dream, but when she looked down and saw the enchanting Manshazhuhua on her ankle, she was so shocked that she stood there, staring at the Manshazhuhua for a long time.

She closed her eyes, imagined what she was dreaming about, then opened her mouth, and two sharp fangs suddenly stretched out from her mouth. She staggered to the dressing table and saw the scarlet eyes in the mirror. She finally admitted that it was not just a dream.

Luo Youyou slumped in the chair, covering her face with her hands. A voice in her heart kept repeating, "Who am I? Who am I? Why did I become a monster? Why am I a monster? I want to go home! I want to go home! Mom must know! She must know..."

The door was pushed open without warning. Luo Youyou suddenly turned around and glared at the person who came.

Jiayi suddenly stopped when he saw Luo Youyou's sharp teeth and bloodshot eyes. Even though a week had passed, he still said that he felt scared by that night.

After Luo Youyou fainted, she slept for seven days and seven nights. Jiayi would come to check on her every night to see if she had woken up or if she was still alive.

Luo Youyou, lying on the bed, had a very weak breath. Jiayi was worried that she would die one day, but he also hoped that she would just die like that. She was a terrifying existence, and her existence was beyond the cognition of all vampires. No one knew what she was.

Only the servant and an elder died in the chaos that day. The others survived because they were not drained of blood, but their bodies have not recovered yet, even though they drank a lot of blood.

Jiayi was conflicted for two days. If he kept Luo Youyou, she would be a time bomb. If he killed her, he would lose a powerful chess piece. Perhaps even after 100 years of term, he would not be able to find what he wanted.

Jiayi finally decided to let God decide her life and death, and then on the seventh day, she woke up.

Jiayi was not sure whether Luo Youyou was sane now. He stopped and did not dare to get closer. He observed Luo Youyou's expression and found that apart from the two teeth and blood-red eyes, there was pain and confusion in the eyes, but no madness, and no terrifying hostility emanated from his body. He was sure that Luo Youyou was not dangerous now, so he slowly approached again.

"You turned me into a monster?" Luo Youyou asked in a sad voice.

Jiayi shook his head, feeling both amused and annoyed. Even if he wanted to create a monster, he couldn't create a monster that would scare himself.

"Tell me where the magic wand is?" Luo Youyou just wanted to go home now, but before that, she had to save Mu Yaxi first.

"Let's make a deal." Jiayi raised the corner of his mouth slightly and made a negotiating gesture.

Luo Youyou had a severe headache and frowned, impatient with Jia Yi's slow and indecisive character. "Speak!"

"I will tell you the whereabouts of the spirit staff, release Jing Yan and Xue Ren, and send people to assist you. If you help me find the thirteen sacred artifacts of the blood clan, I will release Yuri." Jiayi kept Yuri as a hostage because his intuition told him that this person was very important to Luo Youyou.

"Do you think you can threaten me?" Luo Youyou said sarcastically, raising the corner of his mouth arrogantly.

"Maybe not, but Yuri is now in a place only I know. If you kill me, he will be buried with me." Jiayi's expression changed slightly, and soon he returned to his arrogance, like a king.

Luo Youyou's heart was shocked, "I need a magic wand!"

"I'm very generous. You can use the staff to save your friend, and I can also teach you how to use it." Jiayi smiled confidently, "But after that, the staff will belong to me."

Luo Youyou hated the calculations that could not be hidden in his eyes, but she had no choice but to be calculated by him. If everything was settled, Luo Youyou would not mind killing him first. But by then, time would have passed and he would have obtained the Thirteen Sacred Artifacts. Would she still have the ability to kill him?

"What do you want the Thirteen Sacred Artifacts for?" Luo Youyou asked.

"Grow my secret party."

Luo Youyou curled the corners of her lips and revealed a hint of sneer. She couldn't convince herself that Jiayi collected the holy artifacts just to strengthen the secret party. When he stated this purpose without hesitation, she concluded that it was false.

Luo Youyou had heard about the Thirteen Holy Artifacts from Jing Yan. In addition to knowing that the staff had healing powers, she also knew that several of the holy artifacts were simply evil and their appearance would only bring disaster.

"I have a condition." The sarcasm on Luo Youyou's lips disappeared and he said solemnly.
