The boat stopped at a small island. Hammi knocked on the door one by one and called them out. They had arrived at their destination - Laman Island.
Luo Youyou walked off the boat with a small bag and was stunned by the beautiful scenery in front of her. There was a faint pink color everywhere. Looking around, the eyes were full of pink, and various pinks complemented each other. Unknown objects emitted faint light, making the whole island look shimmering.
After saying goodbye to Hanmi, they walked on the soft sand towards the depths of the island. The island was covered with dense forests. All the trees were pink, like cherry blossoms, and the trees were full of fruits.
The fruit is as round and smooth as pearls, and the translucent beads are stacked into a tower shape, like a pomegranate, with a luminous band surrounding the outer circle, extending spirally from top to bottom.
The gentle breeze and the falling petals made them feel like they were surrounded by a sea of flowers.
There are farmers working in the forest, wearing conical hats with light bands dotted across their heads, blending in with the forest.
"It's so beautiful." Luo Youyou couldn't help but admire.
"Are you Luo Youyou?" Suddenly a voice interrupted everyone's thoughts, and everyone looked towards the source of the voice.
She was a witch who looked very young. She had been asking questions in a resounding manner, but now that everyone was looking at her, she couldn't help but blush in embarrassment.
"I am." Luo Youdian nodded.
"Come with me, don't run around. I've prepared a place for you to stay, but whether you can convince the elves depends on your ability." The witch turned around and led them.
"Did Hanmi tell you?" Luo Youyou asked.
The witch turned around and looked at Luo Youyou with disdain. "We have a crystal ball that can predict the future. We can only predict your arrival and purpose. Even junior witches can do that."
Luo Youyou shut up awkwardly. It seemed that this witch was not very friendly. Why bother to embarrass herself?
After all, the vampires and the elves of the Spirit Realm had been enemies for thousands of years. Every year, the elves came to Laman Island to discuss new magic with the witches on the island, so naturally they were closer. Luo Youyou hadn't expected the witches to not drive him out.
The witch brought Luo Youyou to a huge village. It was called a village because there were no buildings like castles here, but the most primitive thatched houses, round thatched houses, just like an ancient village. It was called huge because there were so many thatched houses that you couldn't see the end at a glance.
The witch arranged them in several adjacent thatched houses and left without saying anything.
The thatched cottage looked a bit shabby from the outside, but the interior was nothing short of luxurious. Decorated like a modern palace, it featured marble floors, glazed walls, and large crystal chandeliers, all gleaming brightly and complementing the island's vegetation.
After resting for a while, Luo Youyou felt it necessary to familiarize himself with the terrain first and see where the elves lived.
She changed into a pink dress, the tender color blending seamlessly with the island. She looked in the mirror again and again, finally nodding with satisfaction. This color was very approachable, adding a touch of softness and intimacy, and reducing a bit of harshness and alienation.
First, I had to let the elves down. I had to let them know I had no hostility. But the problem was, even if they had, what would it matter? My purpose was the staff. How could they easily hand over something they had taken thousands of years to recover?
Luo Youyou was walking along the path in the thatched house while thinking.
Each thatched house is surrounded by trees. Walking along these paths feels like walking along a tree-lined path. The ground is covered with pink plants—I'm not sure if they should be called petals or leaves. They are a natural landscape created by the breeze, soft to the touch, with a refreshing scent like peach blossoms.
Luo Youyou lowered her head, her long black hair hanging loosely, covering her profile. She looked unusually quiet and serene, like a fairy who was not of this world.
After walking for a while, Luo Youyou realized that someone seemed to be avoiding her along the way, but she was thinking too hard and didn't notice it.
She raised her head and heard a few exclamations at first, then she saw a few elves hiding behind a big tree, half of their faces exposed, their big round eyes staring at her without blinking, their eyes full of amazement.
Judging from these spiritual eyes alone, the elves in the Spirit Realm look similar to the elves in the Demon Realm, but there are some differences in their stature. Most of the elves in the Demon Realm are short, like the dwarfs in the Snow White story, but the elves in the Spirit Realm are tall.
Luo Youyou estimated that these elves were at least a head taller than him.
Unexpectedly, she met an elf so soon. Luo Youyou quickly put on a harmless smile, as warm as the spring breeze, making her delicate face even more beautiful. The elves exclaimed again.
"Are you playing hide-and-seek?" Luo Youyou asked with a smile.
When the elves heard Luo Youyou talking to them, they immediately hid behind the big trees and no one answered.
Luo Youyou was not discouraged and waited patiently. After a few seconds, they stuck half of their heads out again and looked at her curiously like before.
"What are you?" asked a brave elf, but did not show his face, hiding himself behind a big tree.
Luo Youyou was stunned. She didn't know how to answer this question. After thinking for a while, she replied, "I am human."
"Nonsense!" Some elf objected loudly.
"You smell like a vampire." said another elf.
"But...she also smells human..." an uncertain voice said.
