Chapter 89 Woof woof! Los: Smells like dog!

Chapter 89 Woof woof! Los: Smells like dog!

For three days in a row, Los and Xu Nian heard the howling of the wolves. The howls carried far away. Xu Nian lay in Los's arms, gently twirling his tail and saying, "Did the wolves win?"

"Hmm." Los pricked up his ears to listen to the movement outside. However, the wolves were so arrogant that it was obvious that they had won a great victory. Although he didn't know how the wolves defeated the mastiffs, it was impossible that it was a head-on battle.

Los had dealt with wolves before and knew very well that they were cunning. If a wolf member was injured, they would generally not engage in large-scale battles with other animals. They would only surround the wolf if they had an absolute advantage in numbers.

It was just like the pack of wolves that surrounded them a while ago.

Hearing Los's words, Xu Nian's tail swung gently. He simply held his tail in his mouth, turned sideways, and naturally continued to lie in Los's arms. He said in a muffled voice, "We have to be careful when hunting recently. Wolves are not easy to get along with."

Apart from anything else, a pack of wolves is definitely not a very good neighbor. Good neighbors think about hunting each other every day, and howl day and night. They howl when they are unhappy, howl when they are happy, and howl when they are bored. In short, it is a good thing that Los and Xu Nian have good sleep quality, otherwise they would easily suffer from neurasthenia.

At this moment, a snow leopard that had begun to approach this side stood on the top of the mountain. Its furry ears moved slightly, as if it was thinking about something, with a deep look on its face, until it heard the howling of wolves coming from outside. It raised its paws and patted the snow on the ground irritably, but unfortunately it posed no threat to the wolves in the distance.

The snow leopard had a tired look on its face, with its fur slightly ruffled. It no longer had the same ease it had in roaming the mountains before. However, there were no wounds on its body, indicating that it was not from fighting. Even its abdomen was normal. It was simply because it ate very little and had been unable to sleep for several days because of the howling of the wolves.

"Will you please just be quiet!" Luo Yin gritted his teeth and said hatefully, "As expected, all wolves are bad!"

It swung its tail angrily, then held its tail in its mouth, turned around and walked further away, trying to find a quiet place to rest.

A rabbit looked over here curiously, and met the eyes of the angry snow leopard. The rabbit was so angry that it died with regret, and soon became Luo Yin's dinner.

It glanced at the bones and blood scattered beside its paws, then licked its paws, cleaned the fur on them, raised its furry paws, and walked steadily across the rock wall, taking every step firmly.

Several snow leopards are heading this way. There are the most blue sheep and marmots here, but it is also the place with the most wild beasts. In addition to snow leopards and wolves, there are other wild beasts that also stop and go, setting their sights on this place.

Los and Xu Nian were unaware of this yet. They curled up in their comfortable little nest, snuggling up to each other, and occasionally Los would come over and lick Xu Nian.

By the evening, the snow had become a little lighter. Although it was only a little lighter, it was good news for Xu Nian and Los, who had been watching heavy snow for such a long time.

The two snow leopards discussed it and decided to go down and hunt now to fill their stomachs, but they did not plan to go back along the previous route. Instead, they chose a route that avoided the wolf pack as much as possible.

"It would be great if we snow leopards could live in groups." Xu Nian sighed, "At least our numbers won't be enough to get surrounded by the enemy."

Los turned his head to look at Xu Nian, then leaned over and licked him. Sensing Xu Nian's restlessness, he whispered, "We can go up the mountain, but they can't."

Xu Nian also knew that most snow leopards live alone, so he was just saying it casually and didn't take it seriously. After hearing what Los said, he simply moved closer to rub against him and nodded obediently, saying, "Then remember your promise to me. You won't abandon me and run away, and you won't let me, a leopard, escape all alone."

Ross hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

Xu Nian believed that most wild animals were simple-minded and would not lie, except Luo Yin.

As soon as he thought of Luo Yin impersonating Los, he felt cold sweat on his back, and he was almost scared to the point of suffering a psychological trauma.

When Los was fighting with the wolves, he was injured, especially on his left front limb. So when he walked, he subconsciously lifted his left front paw and limped along, with his tail held in his mouth. Although he was injured, his pace did not slow down. He walked on the rock wall almost with ease, which made Xu Nian really envious.

Los's figure is definitely top-notch among snow leopards. He walks on the rock wall with his front paws hooked, which does not affect his agile posture. When he jumps and runs casually, you can see the muscle lines on his body, which are very smooth. He lands his paws on the rock wall and stands firmly, observing his surroundings with extremely sharp eyes. However, when he turns his head to look at Xu Nian who is struggling to catch up, his eyes soften almost instantly.

"Slow down." Xu Nian said helplessly, "I'm not familiar with this place."

Xu Nian has tried very hard, but he had just adapted to the environment on the top of the mountain with great difficulty, but then an avalanche occurred. Later, he was deceived by Luo Yin and encountered an accident, falling from a cliff. Xu Nian was afraid of heights to begin with, and in fact, after this incident, he became even more afraid of heights.

But now he was walking behind Los, but he did not slow down his pace. Instead, he kept trying to overcome it and tried his best to keep up with Los.

Los remained where he was, calmly waiting for Xu Nian to come over. He then licked him gently and said, "Don't be afraid. I'm here."

After saying that, Los took two steps back from the crevice in the rock wall under Xu Nian's confused gaze, and then followed Xu Nian. Its foothold was a little below Xu Nian, just right to follow Xu Nian. If any problems arose, it could react immediately and protect Xu Nian.

Xu Nian understood what Los meant. He nodded and took steady steps again. His furry body stuck close to the rock wall as he walked, his tail swaying gently behind him.

"You are a good-looking and smart snow leopard." Los gave an evaluation in his heart. He felt that Xu Nian was really an excellent snow leopard. He exuded a charm that the snow leopards could not refuse, especially when Xu Nian walked to a fork in the road and turned to ask Los with a confused look on his face. Los happened to follow up, and both of them raised their heads and looked into each other's eyes, almost with their noses touching. They were so close that Los could almost feel the touch of the furry face of Xu Nian.

The vulture had never seen such a scene before, and was originally planning to find a place to stay for a while, but then simply flapped its wings and flew away, leaving behind the Tibetan fox who poked its head out of the cave with a confused look on its face.

To be honest, the Tibetan fox didn't want to see the snow leopard at all. With a hint of surprise on its serious face, it turned its head and went into the cave without any hesitation. It seemed to say something and soon stuck its head out again. This time, it moved with its entire family, big and small.

"I don't know which way to go." Xu Nian raised his claws and scratched his face, saying, "I've never been here before, so..."

"Let's go down." Ross said, "Just hunt here. It's dangerous to go too far, and it's hard to drag the prey back."

Hearing what Los said, Xu Nian nodded in understanding and gently shook his big furry tail. He almost swept Los behind him, but now he is not the novice snow leopard. Now he and his tail are obviously more compatible and he has learned to avoid Los.

The tail passed by Los and then hung down casually. If Xu Nian turned his head and looked carefully, he could see the regret in Los' eyes.

He was concentrating on walking down, his hind paws and right front paw scratching the rock wall, then he used his left front paw to test it out, making sure that the landing place was solid rock, and then he jumped down carefully.

Although Los said he would protect him, Xu Nian didn't want to fall like this. Not to mention that it would be very painful, he had already tried it once and it almost killed him. Los was still injured now, and Xu Nian didn't want to make things worse for Los.

His four claws landed on a rock, and then he stepped on it lightly to test whether the rock was solid, and then began to look for the next place to land his claws.

Los didn't urge them, as the road here was indeed a little steeper than the one they had taken before.

Suddenly, a magpie flew from somewhere and landed in front of Xu Nian. It kept calling. Even though Xu Nian used his tail to sweep it away, the magpie was really ignorant and jumped back and forth, as if it was challenging Xu Nian's patience, or perhaps it had Xu Nian in its grasp and he couldn't do anything about it.

But it soon lost its complacency as Los jumped over it, and its claws stepped over the side of the rock wall. It flipped sideways and landed in front of Xu Nian. Its hind paws were on the rock below, and its front paws were on the rock where Xu Nian had landed, with the nosy magpie in its mouth.

The magpie was still struggling, with a look of contempt in its eyes, as if it didn't take the magpie seriously at all.

"Hmm?" Los, holding the magpie in his mouth, tilted his head slightly, and his eyes fell on Xu Nian's face. Seeing the surprise that flashed across his face, Los's tail tip lifted slightly. He tried to take the magpie in his mouth and give it to Xu Nian. Unfortunately, Xu Nian didn't understand what he meant, and squatted down obediently and said, "You eat it."

Los was really so good to him that he even left small prey like the magpie for him to eat. It was impossible for Xu Nian not to be touched.

Los is really a handsome, kind and grumpy snow leopard.

Los was holding the magpie in his mouth and trying to pass it upwards. After hearing Xu Nian's words, his body subconsciously stiffened slightly, and a trace of embarrassment at Xu Nian's lack of understanding of romance flashed in his eyes.

Its tail swayed gently behind it, and finally it grabbed the magpie and ate it crisply.

"I'll catch some delicious prey for you in the future." Xu Nian didn't notice Los's emotions. He approached Los as usual. Although he was exhausted and out of breath, he still insisted on promising Los: "When I become powerful, I'll catch blue sheep, rabbits, argali, and even vultures for you!"

"I don't eat vultures." Vultures like to eat carrion. I don't know whether other snow leopards eat Los, but it doesn't.

Xu Nian gently shook his tail and continued, "Then I won't eat vultures. I'll catch magpies and snowy owls. When I become powerful, I'll catch all the prey I can and give them to you."

Los had no idea what the magpie tasted like. In fact, he didn't usually eat magpies. This magpie was simply too delicious, so he just used it to fill his stomach.

It stuck out its tongue and gently licked its fangs, looking cold and aloof, but in fact its tail was already raised high behind it, like an upside-down greeting, and the tip of its tail was furry, and it was not difficult to see how proud it was.

It was easy to coax this matter, and Los was confirmed.

“Woof—woof—”

Just as Xu Nian was about to say something, he suddenly heard a strange sound. He subconsciously stopped in his tracks. Los did the same thing. He twitched his nose slightly, then suddenly tensed up and became alert. He said, "It smells like dog."

“…”What he said was correct, but Xu Nian always felt that there was something strange about it.
