Chapter 102 World H: 5 "..." ...

Tenas stared at the video feed, his smile fading until it disappeared, leaving him expressionless.
Ethan silently looked away.
Nadia accepted it well, though she seemed thoughtful.
Reena is alright, probably because she doesn't have a counterpart, so she can't empathize.
Yes, their emergency training is over, and they're now looking to assess the results before moving on to the simulator for further training.
Ethan's world also has simulation pods, but they are generally used to fight against different strange monsters in order to improve their ability to cope with challenges and gain combat experience.
They are forbidden from using their original powers in the simulation pod; they can only stimulate their powers through singing and dancing. The system will judge them based on the fairest and most normal values.
Unfortunately, the result was far worse than they had expected, a complete contrast, causing several of the world's guardians who had taught them to question their teaching methods.
Am I really good at teaching? Why can I even do so poorly with my own counterpart? We're clearly the same person, just in different worlds, can the difference in our bodies really be that big?
Because of Ethan's off-key singing, the attack that was supposed to hit the octopus monster's weak point was deflected. Instead of delivering a heavy blow to the monster, it enraged it.
Countless octopus tentacles entangled them, and like a mischievous child who had received a new toy, they shook themselves wildly, showing no appreciation whatsoever, completely unconcerned about the life or death of the toy in their hands.
After they finally managed to break free, they were entangled again because of a mistake by Tenas. The octopus suckers left red marks on their skin, including their faces.
“Like he just finished a party with beautiful girls.” Reba looked at the red marks on Tenus’s cheeks, whose clothes and hair were all messed up on the screen. “Don’t you guys think it looks like a lipstick mark? Although the shape isn’t quite right.”
Like that kind of trendy guy, a very popular trendy guy, who has just gotten up from a group of girls, still has the badges of the girls' love for him on his face, looking like a playboy.
Tenas smiled, his voice almost squeezed out from between his teeth, clearly trying to hide his gritted teeth: "Reba, I'm still here!"
Is it nice to see your counterpart in such a terrible state? Didn't you see that Reena had already covered Nadia's eyes, trying her best not to embarrass her, and intentionally led her to a corner, facing the wall, and even whispered other things in her ear?
Didn't you see Ethan's face turn to despair after just one glance at the screen? He glanced at it again, couldn't resist, opened the portal, covered his eyes, and went inside, not even knowing where he was going.
“This is terrible…” Carter muttered to himself, his face showing shock: “This is simply the pinnacle of tentacles…”
"Carter." A cold, murderous voice suddenly rang out behind him. A cold hand landed on his shoulder, light yet feeling incredibly heavy, causing Carter's body to tremble uncontrollably.
“RRR, Sister Reena…” His voice trembled uncontrollably, completely unlike his usual irritable self. He even felt it was too cold now. When did the temperature drop? It was so hot just before he came in, why is it so cold now?
"Do you want to die?" Reena whispered the words from her red lips, then leaned closer to him, no more than a hand's width away. Her eyes were wide open, and the dark circles under her eyes from working made her look like a haunting ghost. Reena seemed to emanate a dark aura. "That's the counterpart of our partner. I don't want you to utter such words, okay? Do you understand?"
“Yes…I understand…” Carter was extremely annoyed. How could she forget that Reena cared most about Nadia and still treated her like a child, even though Nadia was only a little younger than her?
Suddenly, I remembered a time when everyone was a little drunk and couldn't help but make some dirty jokes. Reena, who was not a fighter and whose strength was not enhanced by the city's will, stood up unsteadily and smashed the table with one punch, scattering bottles and food all over the floor.
The group, who had been chatting and laughing in a daze, suddenly fell silent, instantly sobering up considerably. Reena pointed at Nadia, who had been sleeping next to her in her previous spot, and said in a cold tone that was not like someone who was drunk: "If she unconsciously hears these things and then has related dreams... ha."
They didn't say anything, but it's as if they said everything.
Although she didn't utter any threats, the coldness and determination conveyed in her final "ha!" were unmistakable. If she truly corrupted her innocent younger sister, then everyone would be doomed.
Carter inadvertently recalled that Reena was actually the leader of Nadia's fan club, but no one else knew this; even he had only discovered it by chance.
Is this the Nadia hype? It's terrifying how it cuts everything in its path.
An unavoidable long silence ensued, and even Tenas, usually adept at mediating tensions and resolving conflicts within the team, had fallen asleep. If Nadia was leaning on Reena's right shoulder, then Tenas was leaning on her left, both sleeping soundly.
To this day, neither of them knows what happened that night.
Tenas broke out in a cold sweat. He was about to try to persuade Reena to leave and ease the tense atmosphere when he suddenly heard some familiar sound effects—the sound effects of successfully completing a level.
The hatch opened, and Nadia sat up, still able to feel the slippery octopus tentacles on her skin.
It's sticky, but once it gets tangled, it's very strong.
“I think I won’t like octopuses for a while.” Turnas sat up and rubbed his arms. “Why is it always octopuses?”
“Maybe they don’t know what kind of monster to show up?” Ethan sat up as well, his face full of bitterness and resentment. “I hate octopuses, really, they make me very uncomfortable.”
"Alright." Reena was the first to come in: "Since you passed this simulation, it means that you have a certain ability to complete real-world battles together. Alright, now I'm giving you a new task: before anyone discovers your flaws, play the role of yourselves in our world for the entire time. If you can succeed, I will recognize you as idols, and at that time I will lend you my power."
Ethan: "?"
Turner: "?"
Nadia: "?"
You mean, they've only just barely dealt with the monsters in the simulation, and now you're telling them to fill in for the monsters in this world for two days, without being found out they're just filling in, right?
Is this the progress of someone with normal intelligence? This speed? Isn't it too fast? It's like just leaving the starting village and fighting a boss.
What a joke, the first level is just a beginner's period, and the second level is straight to the final battle.
This is considered an equivalent, and the world will be somewhat different. They are not particularly sure that they can play the role of their own equivalent without being discovered.
Unfortunately, they have no right to protest.
That's why the three of them blended into this large group, stood high in the sky, and looked at the monster in the distance.
The music is already playing, and we should be getting to the lyrics soon. There's not much time left for them to prepare and build up their emotions.
How should we do it?
As soon as the music and lyrics started playing, almost everyone took action simultaneously.
"Give up? No no no"
Turnas opened his arms, his hands moving nimbly in sync with his dance steps, performing the moves he had learned from watching videos.
In the past, if he were to do these things, his fingers might have gotten tangled up.
Indeed, people do change.
While lamenting, Ternas fought on miserably.
"Are we going to be finished?"
But then again, are these lyrics right? Shouldn't they be a bit more uplifting?
Oh well, let's just jump whatever's available.
...
Calm down, Ethan. Nobody's watching you. Nobody's going to laugh at your terrible dancing.
The thing two kilometers away wasn't a helicopter, and the thing circling him slowly wasn't a drone. There was no one broadcasting live, and no one was analyzing them with rigorous, objective, and incisive language.
Ugh, I can't take it anymore!
Even if it's a drone, you shouldn't get this close, right? Do you think it's some pushover? You could kick it and it would bounce back up, it would just puff up and walk away.
And most importantly, the drone was flying around Ethan like a headless fly, completely obstructing his view and movement.
How about we do it this way?
When Ethan pretended to be careless and dodged the monster's attack again, it was already quite late, giving the drone that was supposed to be observing his final moments a chance to be reworked.
"bump--"
The drone and the monster had a close encounter, and the drone used its own life to ignite fireworks in its final moments, hoping to calm down the hard-working guardians.
Warm colors are beautiful; they are colors that make people feel warm.
“...Respect yourselves!” On Reena’s private island, the Tenas trio were each reclining in their own chairs, enjoying this peaceful moment.
The sound of waves crashing on the beach, and the faint chirping of birds in the distant forest.
This is a great place. The three of them are overjoyed that their identities are being used by their counterparts and companions from other worlds. They don't have to work. Who wants to work?
They should enjoy themselves while they can; they don't usually have time, so this is a chance for the three of them to relax together.
I wonder how they are doing now? But that shouldn't be their concern. What they should be concerned about is Reena, who, because she doesn't have a counterpart in her own world, is forced to work overtime even though she's already at work.

The author says: I was so sleepy that I wrote down all the things in my dream. Then, when I woke up a bit, I realized what I was writing and deleted it. Why do I get so sleepy that I can't even keep my eyes open when I write?
I simply sat there for five minutes and then became disoriented.
I don't want to drag this out, so I'll end it here in the next chapter.
