Chapter 68 World B: The Trio "Stay away from that guy..."

Chapter 68 World B: The Trio "Stay away from that guy..."

"Stay away from that guy."

This is something Reena often says to Nadia.

Nadi often couldn't understand why Reena was so hostile towards Tenas. When they first met, Nadi told her that Tenas wasn't as innocent and obedient as he seemed on the surface, but rather a very cunning and shrewd person who was good at disguising himself.

Because Reena's description of Tenas was so outlandish, Nadia assumed it was a rare moment of humor on Reena's part, and she was just joking with her.

Reena: "..."

Reena: "...He's still glaring at me now, Nadia, why don't you turn around and take a look?"

Nadia turned around in doubt and looked at little Tenas behind her.

Five-year-old Tenas sat on the steps in the corner of the garden, idly twirling his somewhat long hair with his fingers, staring blankly at the ants crawling on the ground.

As if sensing Nadia's gaze, he looked up blankly, his round face showing only a small mouth shaped like an 'O'. He stared at her for a moment, then seemed embarrassed, his face turning red, and he gave a shy smile, looking well-behaved and cute.

"Sister Nadia," he called out cheerfully, his voice soft and sweet, almost like a spoiled child.

Nadia's suspicious gaze shifted from Tenas to Reena.

Reena: "..."

Reena: "I'm not lying to you, he really was glaring at me just now... Look, look! His expression changes faster than turning the pages of a book, he's not smiling anymore!"

Nadia turned around, and Tenas was still sitting in the same spot, giving her a sweet smile that seemed to draw all the light away.

Nadia looked at Reena, and Reena's face immediately fell; she looked very unhappy.

Nadia knew she should trust Reena. They had grown up together and always been there for each other. Reena had never lied to her, so this Winter kid might indeed be a little different.

Nadia glanced at Tenas, who still had a lovely smile, then at Reena, and decided to trust Reena for the time being.

Reena, who had guessed everything Nadia was thinking: "..."

"Dead cargo," she said.

They've only known each other for a short time, yet he still lied to Nadia, saying one thing to her face and another behind her back.

Nadia discovered that Reena was unilaterally challenging Tenas.

The two began arguing over all sorts of things, from academics to hobbies, from impromptu performances for adults, and even she started arguing about everything.

Nadia looked at Tenas, who was holding her hand on the left, and Reena, who was holding her hand with her right, and slowly typed a question mark: "?"

“Nadia, my sister~” Tenas blinked, his eyes shining.

“Nadia likes me more.” Reena hugged her arm tighter, her displeasure barely concealed. “Go back to where you came from, you brat. We grew up together; I’ve known her since she was born!”

"Sister Nadia." A pitiful voice.

“Nadia—” came the voice demanding a choice from her.

Nadia promptly withdrew her hands from them, and both of them were stunned for a moment before looking over at her.

Nadia grabbed one of their hands and forcibly held them together.

"You two should try to get along first." Nadia tightened her grip, her head still throbbing from the noise. She glanced at the two who were trying to break free, and they both stopped moving.

Watching Nadia's departing figure, the two stood there in silence for a long time.

“Reena, you made Nadia leave in anger,” Tenas broke the silence first, gloating.

“Don’t call me sister, and don’t call her sister either.” Reena withdrew her hand, took out a small pack of wet wipes from her pocket, opened it, took one out, and carefully wiped the spot where she had just touched Tenas: “Pretentious brat.”

The two parted on bad terms.

The three of them got along together, albeit with some bumps along the way.

Several years later, Nadia suddenly realized that their relationship seemed to have improved considerably compared to the beginning, but it was as if they were hiding something from her.

Nadia was so curious that she went to Tenas.

Tenas held the book and flipped through it, his legs, which weren't covered by shorts, swinging back and forth, showing that he was in a good mood.

“Maybe she’s going through puberty.” Hearing Nadia’s question, Tenas thought for a moment and tilted his head to offer a possibility: “Everyone has some little secrets during puberty. They crave privacy, their thoughts become rebellious, and it’s normal to have your own little secrets.”

Nadia didn't believe it.

“You can ask her,” Tenas said to her with a grin.

Then Nadia just went ahead and asked directly.

She found Reena, who was working. Reena, who was only a year older than her, had dark circles under her eyes and looked exhausted. She was drinking coffee, and there were two large stacks of documents and a running laptop on the table in front of her.

Seeing Nadia rushing around, Reena subtly switched the interface in just 0.01 seconds, put down her coffee, and looked at her casually: "What's wrong?"

"What are you hiding from me?" Nadia walked up to her, her tone certain, turning a question into a statement:

Why didn't you tell me? You and Tenas have so many secrets!

"..."

Reena felt a surge of irritation as she thought about the current situation. The circle she was in was really... worse than she had imagined. What she had seen before, which she thought was only a part of the problem, turned out to be just the tip of the iceberg. This kept her in a bad mood for a long time.

She had grown up to the point where adults led her into a deeper world, witnessing the cruelty beneath the darkness, and what was worse, she saw Tenas.

The other person adapted very well, much better than her, and was doing very well there. Many people thought highly of them, and some even entered the company earlier than her. This world is truly terrible.

The thought of Tenas made Reena realize that her sleep deprivation was making her headaches worse.

That guy... has a twisted worldview, a naive yet cruel personality, and a way of saying one thing to one person and another to another, which is no less impressive than hers.

Gaining favor with him was incredibly easy. Watching Tenas transform a group of old guys who weren't particularly fond of him into those who now praised him so highly, Reena felt a chill run down her spine.

Such terrifying ability, possessed by such a ruthless individual, he didn't even think killing was wrong; that was the concept those people had instilled in him.

Ordinary people can easily resolve these issues, as can anything that conflicts with their interests or is unpleasant to them. As long as they have enough ability and the right to benefit, they can handle anything.

Tenas wouldn't listen to her advice at all; he still didn't think killing was wrong or illegal, and he wouldn't take anything she said to heart.

Faced with Tenas's stubbornness, Reena had no choice but to leave him with a mess to clean up.

For example, just two hours ago, Tenas killed the most beloved only grandson of a highly respected figure in the industry. This person wielded considerable power; even the parents of both families had to show him deference, and they were usually very polite to each other. How could someone like that dare to kill the other party's only grandson?!

Tenas must be crazy! That man's daughter and son-in-law died in an accident, leaving behind only a child. Everyone knows how much that man dotes on his grandson.

Two hours earlier, Tenas, under Reena's shocked and bewildered gaze, threw the body in front of her and said, "Get rid of it for me."

"Are you crazy?" Reena leaned closer to see the other person's face clearly, and almost lost her voice as she screamed, "You dare to touch him?"

“Oh, he said my face is too great, he doesn’t mind that I’m a man, and that if I really can’t get over that, I can find a woman to have a threesome.” Tenas said casually, “He touched my leg.”

Reena froze, her expression contorted, and she practically spat out each word through gritted teeth: "You! Can! Wear! Long! Pants!"

“I think I should have the most basic freedom to dress as I please, and it’s perfectly normal for someone my age to wear shorts. What’s abnormal is people who have these wicked thoughts.” Tenas calmly stated the facts: “These shorts are almost knee-length. Am I dressed too revealingly?”

Reena opened her mouth, but ultimately couldn't utter a rebuttal.

Tenas's pants weren't short; on the contrary, they were looser and larger, extending slightly past the mid-thigh, rather than the tight and short pants favored by pedophiles.

This cannot be blamed on Tenas, and Tenas is not even ten years old.

Tenas said, "Please, are you trying to frame me as a victim? If you're not going to help me, I'd be happy to have a good talk with Nadia."

They actually threatened her...

Finally, Tenas left gracefully, and Reena arranged for trusted people to dispose of the body as quickly as possible, eliminating any surveillance footage that might have captured the two of them.

...

Back to the present, she was still dealing with some follow-up issues when Tenas actually sent Nadia to find her?! Damn it! Is this how he responds to someone who helped him?

Recalling the sight of Tenas's battered body hidden beneath his clothes, which she had accidentally stumbled upon, Tenas realized that she had seen his expressionless face, no longer wearing a smiling mask, calmly watching her. Only by looking closely into his eyes could one detect a trace of emotion.

Reenas felt a mix of emotions as she thought about Tenas's terrible behavior and personality, and all the unbearable things he had done.

“No, that’s not true.” Reena took a deep breath to calm herself down, then looked surprised. “We’re not hiding anything from you. How could I possibly hide anything from you? You know you’re my best friend, and I’ll always be honest with you.”

But she shouldn't know about these dark and terrible things. Reena didn't want Nadia, whom she had loved and cared for since childhood, to experience those things. Nadia had already gone through enough for her.

Because she knew Nadia so well, Reena quickly convinced her to forget about the incident and moved on from the topic.

"Are you hiding something from me?"

The second time I questioned them was shortly after they became guardians.

Unlike the first time Nadia asked her, when she was quite at ease, Reena was now completely overwhelmed as a Guardian.

The reason is simple: the factional struggle among the Guardians is serious, and they have been divided for years into radicals and conservatives. The radicals are all people who are just having fun and don't care about the consequences.

Conservatives tend to be more normal; they consider the consequences of their actions and, given the current situation, seek to suppress radicals in order to maintain peace.

The three of them joined together, grew up together, and all the guardians assumed that the three of them were one, but Tenas went and joined the radicals on his own.

Fuck, I hate people who make fun of others the most.

The worst part is that Tenas gained the recognition of his native city, the most powerful Yangyan City. Even the power that the city's will casually throws at the guardians is many times stronger than theirs.

It's really awful, he's practically a walking time bomb, especially since Tenas is a fun-loving person who only cares about his own enjoyment and doesn't care about anything else, and he has a terrible personality.

Reena couldn't say she knew Tenas perfectly, but among the adults and peers who were misled by Tenas's seemingly perfect facade, and with whom he had a long-standing rivalry, having witnessed countless different sides of him, including his most wretched and pathetic moments—Reena was certainly one of the people who knew Tenas best.

Previously, the fact that he was confined to their circle allowed him to keep a low profile, but now that Tenas has joined the Guardians, and from a different faction at that, no one can keep him in check anymore.

This is terrible, and she doesn't know how to handle this situation, nor does she know why Nadia would ask this. She acts nonchalant on the surface, but her mind is in turmoil.

“I haven’t been hiding anything from you.” Reena typed on her laptop without looking up, but her tone carried a hint of resentment. “It’s just that I’ve been too busy with work lately. My original job was already heavy enough, and now I have to deal with city work as well, so I’m finding it a bit difficult to adjust. I’m still figuring it out. As for Tenas, it seems he’s made some new friends, and he’s getting along quite well with his faction. Have we been neglecting you? I swear I won’t let this happen again, and I’ll also persuade Tenas to come back and visit you more often.”

Finally, Reena looked up from her work with a sincere expression, leaving Nadia speechless.

"Have a seat." Reena pulled Nadia to sit down on the chair next to her, took out her lunch sandwich, which was still warm. She should have eaten it long ago, but a wave of work suddenly came up, so she had no choice but to deal with the more urgent matters first. She handed it to Nadia.

Seeing that Nadia had been comforted and started eating her sandwich, I gulped down a big mouthful of espresso, and while working, I used my free left hand to take out my phone and type a message to Tenas.

Reena Keith: Did you say something to Nadia again?

"A central air conditioning system that's both troublesome and has a terrible personality: ?"

"Reena Keith: She thinks we're hiding something from her again. Don't tell me you told her about the complicated factional struggles?! She's not quick-witted and can't read people's expressions or understand the deeper meaning in their words. What if she finds out there's a factional struggle that's dragging her into it? I finally managed to let everyone know that she's just a clueless, slow-witted person."

"A central air conditioner that's both troublesome and has a terrible personality: ? No, I don't have time to talk about these things, they're too complicated for her."

"Reena Keith: You better be, your credibility with me is too low, whether you are or not, you better put on an act for me."

Then I saw that Tenas had read my message but wasn't replying.

Reena: "..."

Enraged, she squeezed the hard casing of her phone until it cracked. Damn it! This kid is getting wilder and wilder! How can I control a runaway horse? What if he blows up the world?

What to do, what to do, what to do? This is so annoying! How can there be such a ruthless and cunning person who can win everyone's favor so easily and possess so much power? This is definitely going to ruin the world.

Will the world be at peace? It's hard to say for now, but things are definitely not peaceful in their country. He's a master of manipulation! Even she sometimes doesn't realize until much later that it was Tenas who did it.

Is this guy going through a rebellious phase? Fifteen is supposed to be the rebellious age, is that why he's so disobedient? That sounds even worse. What do powerful and charismatic people do during puberty?

Reena couldn't imagine it.

Sometimes knowing Tenas is really frustrating. I want to call the police and keep this kind of person under strict control, not allowing him to contact the outside world or touch anything that is not allowed.

However, their social class originally belonged to the upper echelons of the country who had more decision-making power. If someone called the police, not to mention Tenas, even Nadia, who had been kicked out of the line of succession, could easily deal with the person who called the police. Although Nadia usually didn't use the power of her surname, she really grew up like an ordinary girl, with the most privileged background.

Everyone is treated the same, and the rules regarding heirs are quite strict. If a child is abandoned, they are provided with a wealthy life and given plenty of money, but this also proves that they have been abandoned and they can forget about any rights.

Some even more ruthless families will simply squeeze every last drop of value out of their abandoned offspring, either through marriage or by giving them away to someone else.

After abandoning Nadia, the Rodney family had another child, and the younger sister who appeared later was also trained as a qualified successor according to the successor training method.

Family relationships within the circle are cold and impersonal; there's practically no love involved. Parents often have children through arranged marriages, and they don't really love their children much because they're with people they don't like.

If you are a qualified heir, your family will find anything for you, and your parents may even be kind to you occasionally, but it's insincere concern, not true love.

Everyone has some kind of twisted mentality, more or less. It's normal to lack love. As they grow up, these flaws manifest in various ways, and they become corrupt adults just like their elders, forming marriages for personal gain and producing heirs.

But Reena felt that Tenas's situation was a bit complicated. He didn't lack love, but he saw his parents as strangers and was indifferent to them. She didn't know how they had raised him. His family had raised him to be two-faced and no one had noticed. In fact, Reena sometimes found Tenas terrifying.

And so, under immense pressure, Reena has been a Guardian for three years.

Nadia sensed a darkness within the Guardians and began to consider resigning, but she couldn't, as the only way to leave the Guardians was through death, which made her uneasy.

Tenas, on the other hand, has spent the last three years comfortably, happily, and as he pleases, a stark contrast to the haggard Reena.

Reena noticed that Tenas seemed to have made new friends outside, and he was even humming a song in a good mood. Reena was really curious whether someone with such a terrible personality could really make normal friends, so she started to probe him for information.

Faced with Reena's probing, Tenas didn't hide anything and readily admitted, "I recently met a very interesting person!"

Tenas carefully selected and removed some important information before beginning to recount his interactions and acquaintance with the other person.

Upon hearing this, Reena realized that Tenas had ulterior motives in approaching a child under ten years old, hoping to gain his trust. However, he gradually found the child interesting and, by chance, found him to his liking. Thus, this shameless person continued to enjoy the relationship with the child.

You have ulterior motives, don't you! Do you remember that you had ulterior motives in the first place? Are you trying to fool a child? So who is this person? Is it a kid from some family in the industry? There don't seem to be many kids under ten years old.

This is terrible. Why does it feel like the other person's personality has gotten even worse? They even lied to children... Although the other person is someone who can charm men, women, young and old alike, and everyone is completely under their control.

Reena lit a candle in her heart for the child she had never met.

She wasn't the only one tormented by Tenas; the poor child was too. Good luck to you, and hope you don't get played to death. My condolences.

The longer they served as Guardians, the deeper the conflict between their factions became. Now that the Guardian leader has died, both Reena and Tenas are vying for the position.

Everyone else was trying to form cliques around the two of them, winning people over and trying to recruit neutral individuals into their team.

The two of them were rather unusual; they both extended invitations to Nadia at the same time, inviting her, who had always maintained a neutral stance, to see which side she would join.

They started playing the emotional card, recounting past events and confidently believing she would choose one of them, thinking her chances were higher. However, she chose to remain neutral.

“I think I know something you’ve been hiding from me,” she said. “You’ve kept the fact that there are two factions among the Guardians from me. You made me think they just had some conflicts and disagreements, that it was just temporary and not something that had been going on for a long time. You also didn’t tell me that the conflict between the two factions was so intense that they even wanted to kill each other.”

After witnessing the darkness within the Guardians, Nadia actually matured somewhat and saw through some of the things, but because they were both very busy, they only realized it at this time.

The two exchanged a glance, then looked at the seemingly calm Nadia, and parted on bad terms again.

Reena found an opportunity to speak with Nadia alone.

“You have to trust me, join me, Nadia.” Reena grasped Nadia’s hand, looking at her pleadingly. “We can’t let Tenas sit in that position. He won’t bring peace to the world; instead, he’ll plunge it into chaos. Don’t you understand after all this time? Tenas Winter is a capricious man who does whatever he pleases, and his personality is awful. His family has created an oppressive monster. Even though we’ve known each other for so long, I can’t guarantee what he’ll do to me after he wins.” He might even choose to kill her.

“…So you have to believe me, Nadia, he can’t succeed, we can’t let him succeed.” Reena hugged her and told her about some things from the past without any personal feelings: “He really is a fraud, he fooled everyone. He even committed murder and left the mess for me to clean up, or he used you to threaten me.”

Nadia didn't speak, she just looked at a spot.

Reena seemed to sense something, abruptly lifting her head from her embrace, then turning her head to see Tenas, arms crossed and smiling, leaning against the wall in the darkness, having listened for an unknown amount of time.

“Go on,” Tenas urged her to continue, his voice unusually gentle: “I never imagined I was this kind of person in Reena’s eyes.”

Reenas felt a chill run down her spine, and cold sweat soaked her clothes.

Her relationship with Tenas had already broken down some time ago. The two were already at odds over their current competitive positions, and their relationship was so tense that it could ignite at any moment, and now they've encountered this situation.

"Let's go back, Nadia." Reena decided what to do in a few seconds, pushing Nadia away with great force and without mercy, causing Nadia to stumble and almost fall: "Let's go back!"

Nadia was pushed into the stairwell, and the rooftop door was slammed shut with a loud bang.

As Nadia went downstairs, she could still hear the sound of fists hitting metal and walls above, and some distance away from the building, she could see thick smoke billowing from the rooftop.

The two of them... their relationship is really bad right now...

Because of her neutrality, Nadia could only stand at a distance during the final battle, anxiously waiting to see which of the two would emerge victorious.

Tenas won; he defeated Reena.

"Pfft—"

Tenas delivered a swift and decisive blow to Reena's throat. Nadia's eyes widened in shock as she tried to run towards him, but was stopped by someone.

She struggled constantly, trying every means to break free from the restraints of those holding her back, but all her efforts were in vain.

She opened her mouth, as if to say something, but in the end, she could only utter a heart-wrenching cry.

“…Reena—!!”

Nadia truly regretted it. She hadn't expected that Reena's words weren't just her prejudice, that Tenas would actually kill her, and that she had remained neutral.

If her best friend doesn't stand by her and remain neutral, isn't that a form of bias towards her?

She truly regretted it, Reena… don't leave her—

Images from the past flashed through her mind, and tears welled up uncontrollably, falling in large drops to the ground.

Why did she go crazy and not side with Reena? Why did she think their conflict wasn't as big as she imagined? She was too naive, too self-righteous, and her naivety cost her everything.

If she had sided with Reena, would the outcome have been different? Would Reena have survived? Or would they have both died after the defeat...?

Reena, Reena, stop lying down, Reena, get up!!!

“Dear Nadia~” The man turned around, his face still splattered with blood from killing Reena, his smile sweet and casual: “Are you regretting that the one who died wasn’t me?”

Because he had just killed someone, he still carried some remnants of murderous intent, which made everyone present afraid to move.

Nadia didn't speak; her tears continued to fall like broken pearls.

Tenas glanced at her, then walked straight away.

There's still a lot of work to be done before he becomes the leader of the Guardians, and he doesn't have time to waste here.

After that, Nadia's world seemed to have become a living hell.

After losing Reena, she lived in a daze for a long time, repeating her life like a walking corpse—until she saw that her mission included killing.

This was the first time she had ever learned that the Guardians' mission also included killing.

She simply looked at the task description, blinked slowly, and accepted it.

Killing someone doesn't feel good.

A lot of blood spurted out as the weapon pierced the flesh with a dull thud.

The internal organs are slippery and feel unpleasant to the touch; rigor mortis develops quickly, and they lose their elasticity.

After completing this task for the first time, Nadia went back and vomited violently, to the point of being completely disoriented, until she couldn't stop crying.

So disgusting, so disgusting, so disgusting, so disgusting...

I don't want to live like this anymore.

To be honest, if Nadia hadn't met Tenas, she would have definitely fought to the death to kill him and avenge Nadia.

The problem is that she knows Tenas, and not just knows him, but has known him for over a decade.

She thought they were good friends; besides Reena, Tenas was her only friend.

Was everything we'd shared over the years just a lie? Tenas had been using his facade to get along with her, and she knew nothing about it. She was foolishly misled by his personality and treated him as a friend, without even knowing if he considered her a friend.

For so many years, she didn't even know his true character. Only after he killed Reena did she glimpse the tip of the iceberg of his brutal nature.

However, despite the fact that their relationship had lasted for over a decade and was one-sided, it was still difficult for her to bring herself to kill him.

She did hate Tenas for killing Reena, but the past made it impossible for her to harm Tenas as well.

What could she do? She couldn't even avenge Reena. First, the opponent was Tenas, and second, he was too powerful; even all the others combined couldn't budge him. Reena, the guardian of Novigrad, second only to Sunfire City, had died at his hands. No one else could defeat him; even the entire conservative faction had chosen to submit.

As for Tenas, Nadia didn't know what he was thinking. He actually killed Reena. After more than ten years of friendship, even enemies can develop some feelings for each other. And Tenas acted so decisively.

For a long time, she thought that the two of them had become much closer, and that he was even keeping some secrets from her, but this turned out to be the case.

Because of the conflict, she wanted revenge, but because the other party was Tenas, she couldn't bring herself to do it, which put her mental state in a precarious position.

She chose suicide between revenge and giving up, thinking of staying with Reena, but Tenas discovered her and stopped her.

Tenas was in a real bind; he didn't even have time to look for Ethan. Then he discovered that Nadia was about to commit suicide.

Helpless, he could only use his own words to entangle her, giving her a slap followed by a sweet treat, forcing her to work for him and forbidding her from taking her own life without his permission.

He probably wouldn't allow it, so he deliberately set it up this way to prevent Nadia from committing suicide.

Days passed by like this, and Nadia had no idea how she got through them. Tenas was twenty-eight years old, and she was thirty-one. If Reena were still alive, she would probably be thirty-two.

Over the years, Nadia has witnessed Tenas treat his people as disposable expendable resources, showing no regard for their lives. She has forgotten how many batches Tenas has replaced since she joined the Guardians, and she is the only one still alive, but she feels utterly bored.

Every day, being with Tenas is filled with trepidation, for fear of making him angry. Although I have never seen him angry, this fear is ingrained in the Guardian's very being.

She wasn't completely unaware of the outside world; she knew about another victim of Tenas's actions, the disfigured mage leader Ethan. She had heard that they were once close friends, but that bitch Tenas had approached them with ulterior motives from the start, and later tried to invite them to join the Guardians. When that failed, she gradually killed off the people around the opposing leader.

Given this situation, it's no surprise that the two have become irreconcilable enemies, and Nadia isn't surprised at all.

That Ethan seems really different; Nadia once overheard him, after Tenas got drunk, inadvertently revealing his past with the person opposite him.

He kept calling Ethan "little Ethan" in a sticky, affectionate tone. That guy is really pitiful, having to deal with a best friend turning into an enemy, and having such a rotten personality, which is currently causing the number of people around him to decrease.

But one side has to lose. Nadia hopes it will be Tenas. Nadia can't bring herself to kill him, but that doesn't mean she'll stop others from killing Tenas.

You absolutely must kill that guy over there! If you don't, he'll be a menace to the world. Who knows who else he'll torment if he's left alive?

But to Nadia's surprise, the person named Ethan was truly special.

"Nadia, I don't need you anymore."

When Nadia heard this guy behind Tenas's body, she had to admit she was stunned.

She almost immediately realized what Tenas meant by saying she wasn't needed—that she was allowed to die.

I never thought this day would actually come. The words that Tenas had set back then, I never thought they would actually come out. She also realized that the person on the other side was special to Tenas.

After Reena's death, she was forced to use her brain. If she didn't, she might die without even knowing who killed her. As Tenas's most capable assistant, her life was second only to anyone else's desire for Tenas's life.

Tenas's bounty is twelve figures, so hers is eleven figures.

Without further hesitation, Nadia pulled out the dagger bound to her leg ring and stabbed herself swiftly and decisively in a fatal spot.

Nadia collapsed softly, and as she fell, she saw Morrison running towards her in terror to catch her.

It was actually quite painful; blood kept gushing out, and she suddenly lost her body temperature. When she touched Morrison, she realized how hot his skin was—his body temperature had dropped too low.

My head is buzzing, I can't hear what they're saying very clearly, and my five senses are gradually fading away. Did Reena feel the same way back then? It's so uncomfortable.

I can see Reena now. I wonder if she'll be angry that I arrived so late, or if she'll be angry that I didn't side with her and chose to remain neutral?

As Nadia pondered, her world plunged into darkness, and she never woke up again.

-----------------------

Author's note: I'm so sleepy and tired, and my temper has become irritable. I have to work the early shift tomorrow, and I really want to slap the early shift and see if I look like it.

The emotions between the three are actually quite complex, but they weren't really written out. Reena and Tenas are long-term rivals, with intermittent moments of mutual respect.

I wrote 9000 words today, and I feel like my eyes are about to pop out...

Tenas loved wearing shorts until she was 13, as did Nadia, while Reena preferred skirts.

What wasn't mentioned was that Tenas had also suffered harassment from numerous women of various ages, some of whom had even tried to coax or seduce him.
