Chapter 91 The World? World G: 1 Ethan and Turner...
Ethan and Turner passed through the portal together and arrived in a new world, but it seemed that the portal led to a large living room.
Before they could even figure out if they had accidentally wandered into someone's house, the two of them were stunned by what they saw.
"Have you all had enough?" The blond man with his back to them snapped coldly. Even without seeing his expression, his disgust was palpable in his icy tone. "This is outrageous. Have you all gone mad?"
At the center of the group he was reprimanding, a black-haired woman sat casually on a large sofa, a relaxed smile playing on her lips.
She had a cool, rational blue-haired beauty on her left and a shy, freckled pink-haired beauty on her right. A blonde beauty sat on her lap, leaning shyly against her chest, her cheeks flushed. The brooding, dark-haired beauty behind the sofa, not wanting to be ignored, wrapped her arms around her neck from behind, burying her head intimately in the crook of her neck. Someone was feeding her grapes nearby.
She was surrounded by a group of people, some sitting, some standing, all of whom were arranged around her.
"Why do you say that? We were just exchanging pleasantries." The black-haired woman poked the face of the person on her chest with interest, and was pleased to see the blush on the face of the person in her arms deepen, as if it were about to burst into flames: "It's just that we were exchanging pleasantries without inviting you, why are you so angry? Besides, even if we invited you, would you have joined? You've always been a loner."
"That's not why you guys are throwing harem parties every day!" the man gritted his teeth. "Are you all crazy?! How did this place become your harem?! Starfall!"
The black-haired woman, Xingyun, chuckled and pulled the two beauties closer together, looking somewhat frivolous. She raised an eyebrow and said, "They like me, and I like them too. How about we exchange feelings? We're a big family, but you're out of the question."
Ethan stared at the frivolous Starfall surrounded by women, his mind reeling for a long time.
Who are you?!
Tenas was so shocked by Yang Yan's serious and disgusted face that he was speechless for a moment.
Who are you?
"Invite you? We'd be better off inviting those two kids." Starfall twirled a small lock of Novigrad's hair, sniffed it, and unsurprisingly, smelled the fresh ink from a printing press. "You two over there...would you like to join us?"
After saying that, she looked in their direction and, under Ethan's horrified gaze, gave him a flirtatious wink.
To be honest, Xingyun is a mature and charming type. Her every move when interacting with those around her is also alluring, and her flirtatious eyes even have a touch of allure.
But Turner saw Ethan's blank expression, as if his brain couldn't process the situation. It took him several seconds to finally process it, and then Turner saw a look of terror in him that Turner had never seen before. Even when they had lost all their strength and were being relentlessly attacked by wolves, Ethan hadn't shown any fear; the light in Ethan's eyes had completely disappeared.
"Quick, quick, Turnas, let's go!" Ethan seemed to have suddenly gone mad, violently pulling Turnas behind him and opening a portal again without him noticing. His tone was filled with barely concealed despair and pleading: "We have to get out of here quickly, we've made a huge mistake, this world, let's get out of here! Waaah, what is this—I must be seeing things!"
The force was so great that Tenas was pushed and staggered. He had no ability to resist or react before being pushed into the portal.
After Ethan pushed Tenas back, he also wanted to enter the portal, but when his body was halfway in, he felt himself being pulled back by an invisible force.
"Why the rush?" Xingyun remained in the same posture, her red lips slightly curved.
"Aaaaaah—" Ethan covered his ears and closed his eyes, almost banging his head against the teleportation portal, his voice breaking and sobbing, "Let me go! Let me go! This isn't real! This isn't Lord Starfall! Who are you? I don't believe it! What world have I ended up in?!"
He frantically banged his head against the portal, but because the portal was illusory, it didn't cause any damage. However, he suddenly unleashed an inexplicable power, breaking free from the restraints of what was likely a meteorite from this world, and left through the portal without looking back.
The city's wills looked at each other in bewilderment.
"Who are those two people? They're so strange."
Only Xingyun gazed thoughtfully in the direction they had disappeared.
Ethan and Turner meet in a disheveled state in the portal.
Ethan still looked shaken, his eyes glazed over, muttering to himself, "It can't be real, right? That wasn't Lord Starfall... The always aloof Lord Starfall, that was clearly the frigid Lord Starfall... It's unbelievable..."
He couldn't say anything more and squatted down, covering his face.
“I understand you.” Turner also managed to squat down, patting his shoulder with empathy, his tone carrying a hint of smugness he himself didn’t realize: “This whole serious urban will thing is just too surreal…”
The two remained silent for five minutes before adjusting their mood and state of mind, and then headed to the next world.
Opening the portal and passing through it, one is greeted by ruins.
As far as the eye can see, there are endless ruins; this must have once been a city.
There was a whooshing sound in the sky, along with some crackling sounds, as a shooting star streaked across the heavens.
No, that wasn't a shooting star, but a figure, and the crackling sounds were the sounds of fighting.
Turnas and Ethan exchanged a glance and flew off in that direction together.
"I will never let you hurt me again!"
From afar, before the two of them even arrived, they heard a familiar female voice screaming, filled with madness and hatred.
No, are you acting out a scene of abuse?
...It's Reena's voice.
Upon closer inspection, they saw Nadia, who was fighting Reena but was gradually losing ground and was clearly no match for her.
Nadia was in a terrible state; her clothes were disheveled and tattered, she had injuries on her face and hands, was coughing up blood, and looked weak, but her eyes held a complex expression as she looked at her.
She didn't go all out; her attacks were all just aimed and missed. Several times, her attacks almost hit Reena's vital points, but she hesitated and missed.
Reena had far fewer reservations than her, each of her attacks carrying a sharp, deadly edge, as if she wouldn't rest until she was dead, aiming straight for her vital points.
Nadia dodged awkwardly; it was more like a forced counterattack than a fight, her face growing paler as if she were about to die.
They certainly wouldn't stand idly by. Ethan first erected a barrier, blocking Reena's next attack, and Tenas seized the opportunity to enter the fray, successfully taking over Reena from Nadia.
Ethan quickly helped Nadia up, fed her a potent healing potion, and cast healing spells to try and heal her wounds.
"No! Stop me! You can't stop me now! Tenas!" Reena shouted almost hoarsely. The rocks around her floated in mid-air because of her shouts and all came crashing down on Tenas. Tenas nimbly bent down to dodge one attack, then rolled to the side to avoid another, and then kept dodging with his sharp agility.
While Tenas drew fire and tried to move the battlefield further away, Ethan had already eased Nadia's injuries and moved to a relatively safe place.
After settling Nadia in, Ethan gave her some healing potions to drink, then flew out to join the battle, fighting alongside Tenas against Reena.
Tenas is in charge of the main offense, and he can easily dodge Reena's attacks in close combat. Because he is familiar with Reena, the moves between the two counterparts are not very different, only slightly different.
For example, in their original world, Reina was not a frontline fighter, but rather the brains of the alliance, assisting in the attack and directing everyone to defeat the target.
Even though he wasn't that strong, Reena managed to fight him to a standstill, with neither of them able to gain the upper hand.
Taking advantage of an opening, before Tenas could dodge in time, Ethan thoughtfully conjured a shield to block Reena's attack.
Then I also thought about which of the magic and magic circles I had learned would be more suitable.
After Ethan joined the battle, Reena, who was initially evenly matched with Turner, gradually lost ground. No matter how hard she attacked, Turner, who was familiar with her, dodged her attacks.
Even when she managed to launch a sneak attack when he wasn't looking, Ethan, watching from afar, would use magic to create a barrier or shield to block it, neutralizing all her deadly moves. Her already frenzied mental state worsened, making her appear somewhat deranged and even ferocious.
“Die! Die! You all have to die! Hahaha—” Reena burst into a series of sharp, chilling laughs that sent shivers down everyone’s spines. Tenas frowned, completely baffled as to why Reena in this world was so insane, seemingly somewhat delusional.
"Bang—"
Ethan's magic blocked Reena's sudden attack again. Looking at Reena's frenzied state, he found it hard to connect her with Reena, the cold and rational leader of his world.
The three fought fiercely for a while, but seeing that they couldn't kill Turnas and Ethan, they finally decided to give up.
"Next time we meet, I will take your lives." Reena's laughter gradually subsided, returning to normal, almost coldly, yet filled with murderous intent, as she spoke to them, just like the ruthless Reena in their world.
Then, with a whoosh, she vanished from the spot, disappearing without a trace before even Ethan could see her move.
"What happened to Reena in this world?"
They returned to Nadia's spot, where she looked much better. Several empty potion bottles lay on the ground, and her pale face, which had been swollen from blood loss, had regained some color.
Turner couldn't help but ask her, "Why? How did she become like that? Wasn't there anyone else? Why didn't I see anyone else? Why wasn't this ruin originally a city?"
He seemed to see the ruins of a building he had seen before in the ruins. It was the most famous landmark building in Dreamland, a must-visit spot for tourists.
“It’s a long story, but I’ll get to the point quickly,” Nadia said hesitantly. “We can’t borrow any power from this world anymore. Apart from Reena, almost all the other guardians of this world are dead. We need to leave as soon as possible.”
