In short, he's like a lawless little devil, causing everyone a lot of headaches.
All of this stemmed from his grandparents' doting on him. The old lady was reluctant to discipline him, and the old man, pressured by the old lady, dared not discipline him either, which undoubtedly fueled He Chaoyang's arrogance.
Over time, He Chaoyang became increasingly lawless.
One summer vacation, He Mingyang, the eldest brother of the He family, returned to his grandfather's house for the summer. Seeing that no one could control his younger brother, he immediately took on the role of an older brother and disciplined He Chaoyang for the entire summer.
He Mingyang was, after all, the eldest brother, and although He Chaoyang was mischievous, he didn't dare to be too presumptuous in front of his elder brother.
During this time, He Chaoyang was beaten quite a bit. Whenever this happened, the old lady would feel extremely distressed, but since they were all her grandsons, she couldn't say anything when He Mingyang was disciplining his younger brother, and could only sigh silently in her heart.
Without his backer, He Mingyang really managed to correct many of He Chaoyang's bad habits.
When He Mingyang disciplines his younger brother, He Chaoyang, he calls him "He Laosan" (Third Brother He). This is an unspoken understanding between the brothers and also an affectionate way for He Mingyang to address his younger brother.
Although He Chaoyang sometimes gets angry because of this address, he knows in his heart that it is his older brother's care and love for him.
And so, the summer vacation passed, and He Chaoyang became much more sensible.
He began to learn to respect others and to consider their feelings.
His transformation brought joy to everyone, and all of this was inseparable from He Mingyang's guidance and care.
No wonder He Chaoyang felt awkward when he heard the name He Laosan.
Chen Shuning was unaware of all this. She glanced at He Laosan, who looked completely lost, and suddenly felt that He Chaoyang was being unreasonable. It wouldn't be good if He Chaoyang were to be associated with bullying the people while wearing this military uniform.
So Chen Shuning reached out and tugged at He Chaoyang, saying with a disapproving look, "How can you be so domineering? You even have to tell people what their names are."
As she spoke, she pointed to a small stall selling almond milk next to her and said, "I want to drink that."
Since his wife wanted some, He Chaoyang naturally wouldn't refuse. Without saying a word, he led Chen Shuning to the stall and bought a bowl of almond milk.
Chen Shuning took the almond milk, took a sip, and thought it tasted good. She then handed the bowl to He Chaoyang's lips and said, "You should try it too, it tastes pretty good."
He Chaoyang smiled, lowered his head, took a sip of the almond milk from Chen Shuning's hand, nodded, and said, "Mmm, delicious."
Then he looked at Chen Shuning and asked, "Would you like anything else to eat?"
Chen Shuning shook his head and said, "No, let's go back."
He Chaoyang nodded, took Chen Shuning's hand, and returned to Xie Xiangdong's side, who was still in a daze.
