Just as Chen Shuning was hesitating about whether to simply hide in the space, gunshots suddenly rang out behind him.
Caught off guard, Chen Shuning was startled by the gunshot and tripped over a dry branch, falling to the ground.
Before Chen Shuning could even get up, the people behind him caught up.
At this point, Chen Shuning had no time to dodge and could only resort to the same trick, pulling out a stun gun and hiding it behind his back, intending to shock the person as soon as they got close.
What Chen Shuning didn't expect was that as soon as she turned around, she saw the burly man who was rushing towards her fly sideways in front of her.
Then a green figure and the man, whose size was almost as big as a bear, started wrestling, exchanging punches and kicks.
It wasn't until now that Chen Shuning understood why the footsteps following her sounded so heavy.
The man dressed in all black was at least two meters tall, with a muscular build like a brown bear in a zoo.
Every time his massive fist struck the man in military uniform, Chen Shuning's heart clenched.
When she finally saw the man in military uniform clearly, Chen Shuning was so shocked that she jumped up and rushed over to help, not even caring whether the stun gun in her hand would be exposed.
Just as He Chaoyang dodged a punch from an enemy agent and, before the agent could react, bent his knee and slammed it into the agent's abdomen, intending to launch a further attack, he heard footsteps rushing towards him.
Turning his head, He Chaoyang saw Chen Shuning rushing towards him, which startled him so much that he quickly shouted, "Don't come any closer! Find a safe place to hide and wait for me!"
Seeing that He Chaoyang was clearly at a disadvantage in terms of height and weight compared to the bad guys, Chen Shuning was not at ease hiding by herself. Just as she was about to say that she could help,
Taking advantage of He Chaoyang's distraction while he was talking, the burly man pulled out a dagger from his calf that he hadn't had a chance to draw before and stabbed He Chaoyang in the dagger.
Although He Chaoyang was talking to Chen Shuning, his attention was focused on the burly man. He was not afraid when he saw the man stabbing him with a knife. Instead of dodging, he grabbed the dagger that the criminal was swinging at him.
He performed a bare-handed disarming maneuver right in front of Chen Shuning. The movement was so fast that Chen Shuning didn't even see how he did it before the knife fell to the ground, and the man clutched his wrist in pain.
Judging from the burly man's pained expression and his limp hand, his wrist appeared to be broken.
Chen Shuning's eyes were filled with stars as she watched, unable to imagine how He Chaoyang could break the wrist of such a strong man, which was almost as thick as his calf, in one go.
What happened next made Chen Shuning an even bigger fan of He Chaoyang.
Heaven knows that when He Chaoyang, who had just arrived, saw the burly man, who was a head taller than him, rushing towards Chen Shuning, his heart nearly jumped out of his throat. If such a big guy really pounced on the little girl, her small body would be crushed and she would faint. Just thinking about that scene made his heart ache.
So He Chaoyang didn't let the strong man go just because he had a broken wrist. Instead, before the strong man could react, he grabbed him by the collar and threw him to the ground.
Then, without hesitation, he pounced on the man, straddled him, and punched the burly man's head repeatedly until he was powerless to fight back. He then swiftly pulled off the man's belt and tied his hands behind his back.
From the moment He Chaoyang kicked the man flying to the moment the two wrestled and fought, and then to the moment He Chaoyang beat the man so badly that he was unable to fight back and tied him up, the whole process took less than ten minutes, which made Chen Shuning, who was watching from the side, feel excited.
Once he confirmed once again that the burly man was no longer able to escape, He Chaoyang felt relieved and kicked the burly man in the stomach again before quickly running towards Chen Shuning.
He placed his hands on Chen Shuning's shoulders and looked him up and down. Although Chen Shuning only had some small scratches on his face from running too fast and not any other obvious injuries, he still asked anxiously, "How are you? Are you hurt?"
Chen Shuning looked at the bruises on He Chaoyang's face from the fight and suddenly felt a pang of heartache. Hearing that He Chaoyang didn't seem to care about her injuries but instead looked at her with concern, Chen Shuning's eyes welled up with tears. She shook her head and said, "No, but you, I saw you get punched several times. How are you? Are you feeling alright anywhere?"
Because she had the space as her last resort, Chen Shuning was nervous but not really scared when she was running away. She only thought about running as fast as possible and getting rid of the people behind her so she could hide in the space.
But it wasn't until she saw He Chaoyang's face clearly and witnessed the two of them fighting so fiercely that Chen Shuning felt afraid.
Thinking that if He Chaoyang hadn't appeared in time and subdued the burly man, she would have been unable to withstand even a light slap from him, let alone a punch from his fist, given his weight of over 200 pounds.
Only when he heard Chen Shuning's unique soft and sweet voice did He Chaoyang finally feel relieved. He breathed a heavy sigh of relief and murmured, "It's okay, it's okay, it's good that you're alright."
They started tracking this group of enemy agents in the mountains last night, and it wasn't until this morning that they finally tracked down the enemy's trail by following some clues left behind by the agents.
