Chapter 125 That's it

Xiang Nanzhi hadn't expected to get through; she had tried once before but failed. The screen showed that the call had been connected for two seconds. Xiang Nanzhi was still lost in thought when she asked, "Did it connect, Shen Shixun?"

What do you think?

"Why aren't you saying anything now that you've gotten through? I thought I hadn't gotten through."

Xiang Nanzhi plopped down on the sofa. "Shen Shixun, it's been days already. When are you coming back?"

The man didn't tell her a specific time, and Xiang Nan was afraid that the signal would drop again later, so she said, "Say something, do you want me to book a ticket for you?"

"No rush."

Flights from Latour to the old city are never in short supply, but recently there have been many tourists visiting Latour. Xiang Nanzhi thought for a moment and smiled, "Or would you like me to pick you up myself?"

The Xiang family owns a private jet, which is quite convenient.

"I'll give you a gift when you come back; I've been busy for days."

"Xiang Nanzhi, why do you Han people all like to give gifts?"

"This is a form of etiquette."

The man didn't speak, but said to Nan Zhi, "Perfect timing, Shen Shixun, go get the package. Contact the delivery person immediately, ask where he is, and then go find him."

Inside were wedding gifts for Gila, gifts for Chen's mother, and some local specialties from the old city.

This was the first time Xiang Nanzhi had ever paid such an expensive delivery fee.

The man contacted the courier to confirm the location, which was about 20 kilometers away. Twenty kilometers on the grassland is different from a straight road in the city; it would be a bit difficult to get there.

He returned to the tent, and Rooney laughed, "Isn't the sharpshooter going hunting today?"

"Will I hit you?"

"Your sister hit me, so you hit me too. Now that I'm the pillar of your family, is this how you treat me?"

Shen Shixun took two hunting rifles out of the house and hung one around Rooney's neck. "What are you doing? Are you really going hunting?"

"Brother, don't go hunting anymore. He just wants to compete with you. Give up, Rooney. You can't beat my brother."

“Look at Sehun, and look at your sister.”

"Come with me to pick up the package."

"Take what?"

“Get the things, Gila, your sister-in-law bought some things.”

"Does your sister-in-law know anyone in the tribe?"

"no."

"So she's here?"

"No."

"Then why did she ask someone to buy things for her?"

Shen Shixun couldn't explain it to her clearly, and Rooney was also puzzled, "I saved your snow lotus, how come I didn't know..." How come he didn't know who Xiang Nanzhi knew in the tribe?

"Walk."

The man didn't say much. He rode his horse in one direction and, lo and behold, he rode straight out of the grassland and reached the edge of the nearby desert.

The motorcycle deliveryman could only go this far; he was terrified of going any further.

On the way back, Rooney's horse was laden with bags and packages, as was Shim Sehun's; anyone who didn't know better would think they had gone on a robbery.

"City people buy things, really..." Rooney was speechless. If anyone bought things like that, even their horse would be exhausted.

Shen Shixun was not surprised. He had never seen Xiang Nanzhi's wardrobe or shoe cabinet before. Even a casually organized wardrobe would contain far more items than this.

"Tell me about the city."

"There's nothing much to say. Just be nicer to Gila from now on."

“Gila is my woman, of course I’m good to her.”

It was already afternoon when they returned to the tent. Gila was heating up sheep tails and mushrooms in a pot. When they came back, Chen Mu was still sitting in the same spot she had been in that morning. She was stunned to see how much stuff the two of them had carried.

The people from the grasslands, carrying buckets of water, returned from hunting and all looked at the two of them, asking, "What's going on, Sehun?"

What are these things?

"Sehun's snow lotus was sent over."

No one could imagine how rich city dwellers must be to have acquired so many things all at once.

Several children of the Gong ethnic group were peering curiously into the tent. Chen Mu and Jila, forgetting about their meal, tidied up the items and opened them to look inside. There were two silver boxes. "Big brother, these boxes are really beautiful."

"A city person's gadget; the color looks like a snow-capped mountain."

Shen Shixun was sitting to the side rolling a cigarette, and Rooney also looked at the box. "It looks nice. What kind of material is this? It feels very smooth."

"Don't break it, put this box away properly."

Shen Shixun stepped forward and opened the box directly.

Everyone probably thought the box was too small to hold anything, but who knew it could be opened.

Inside, a diamond ring lay quietly, along with another box containing a diamond ring. Jira had seen it in movies where people wore it at weddings, but she never imagined she would actually see it in person.

"What is this one made of, brother? It's so beautiful."

Even Rooney, a man, thought it looked good and happily put it on his hand. The man tried to put it on his index finger, but couldn't. Shen Shixun told him that he could only put it on the finger next to his little finger. He tried it and it worked.

In addition, there are landscape plaques for Chenmu, made of jade, with bodhi seeds encircling the edges.

The rest are silk quilts, sheets, duvet covers, and daily necessities.

They were all made to the standards of a city wedding: thin silk that carried little weight, cotton quilt covers with gold thread embroidery, bright red wedding curtains, and two sets of clothes for each person.

Jira and Shen's mother felt uneasy as they watched.

Why did you buy such a nice thing? How much did it cost?

The clothes are in line with local characteristics, but the material is not cotton or linen, but mulberry silk. They are light and thin, wrapped around the waist, and the patterns on them make the wearer look even more beautiful.

Jira tried them on; they looked nice, but she frowned. "Big brother, how much did your wife spend to prepare all this?"
