As she reached the door, she paused. "Brother, perhaps... perhaps I should talk to him alone."
Xiang Jingyi did not object and nodded, "Call me if you need anything."
"Um."
She had heard everything that had happened. With so many eyes watching at the mine, there was no way she couldn't explain something as simple as this.
The door closed, and Shen Shixun sat down on the sofa. Xiang Nanzhi stood there, unsure of what to do, while he remained calm and composed...
"What's going on? Shouldn't you explain this to me?"
Shen Shixun responded, "She said she was looking for your second brother. I let her in, but then the power went out..."
His explanation was indeed concise, without any unnecessary embellishment.
That's how Shen Shixun understands it, and that's how things are.
"Then why did the power suddenly go out?"
"I don't know."
"I asked the electrician, and he said that someone touched a valve in the house, which caused the power outage."
"Regarding the electricity issue, I do indeed..."
"You know nothing. Where did that woman get her injuries?"
Shen Shixun stood up. "Xiang Nanzhi, I understand you're upset..."
"I've had someone bring that woman over; we'll know the situation soon."
The man's heart skipped a beat. He looked directly at her, his gaze deep and unfathomable. "You don't believe me?"
How could she believe such a thing? He was the one who brought the person in, and someone turned off the power inside. The woman said, "No, no, no," and many people heard and saw her run out of the house.
Xiang Nanzhi didn't say he didn't believe him, but went to the door and said, "Brother, ask them if they've compiled the surveillance footage yet."
He responded to Jingyi through the door.
"Shen Shixun, that woman is here, and the surveillance footage will be here soon. We'll have results in no time."
I didn't say I didn't believe it, but every single word I said expressed disbelief.
When she was on the grassland, she could sleep soundly on his shoulder and was unconcerned about her image in front of him.
Shen Shixun felt that there was a certain trust and tacit understanding between them before.
Before he could speak, Xiang Nanzhi received a call. She glanced at him and nodded, "I understand, thank you. I really didn't remember, it's been too long."
"Yes, it has been a long time. Thank you."
Xiang Nanzhi suddenly became gentle, and her speech slowed down considerably. After hanging up the phone, her eyes turned completely cold.
“The people at Shengting said that you contacted that woman a few months ago.”

She initially disliked him a bit, but later she indulged him in everything and tried to make him happy. Didn't he see that?

Her reaction suggests she's convinced he did that kind of thing, so any explanation he gives will be futile.
Xiang Nan looked directly at him. "I'm listening to your explanation. What do you want to say?"
Is it because she's pregnant and lonely, or for some other reason, some unspeakable secret, or because she's been schemed against or tricked by someone... or did he just lose control and make a foolish mistake?
"How I handle this is another matter, but I want to hear the truth from you now."
Shen Shixun found it ridiculous. He had already explained, but she didn't believe him. She kept demanding the truth from him, as if only the answers he gave that she truly wanted to believe could be considered the truth.
Clearly, she was completely dissatisfied with everything he had just explained.
"Xiang Nanzhi, what do you want to hear?"
"What?"
"Tell me what answer you want to hear, and I'll repeat it to you..."
"you……"
Xiang Nanzhi was giving him a chance, but she didn't expect him to be so unreasonable. She moved her lips, but didn't say anything for a long time. "Do you have anything else to explain?"
