Upon returning to Saigon, Shim Se-hun first went to see Rooney.
On his way from Latu to his hometown, Zhang Yandong called him halfway there.
Are you scared?
“I can help you with this, but consider that money a loan. I can’t afford to offend the Xiang family right now.”
Once this matter comes to light, Shen Shixun and the Xiang family will definitely be at odds. Furthermore, since it has been revealed that his investment in beef and mutton farming and processing in Saigon was a partnership with Shen Shixun, it is uncertain whether he will make a profit. As for the Xiang family, Xiang Ciyuan will break off relations with him because of this matter, and they might even withdraw their investment halfway through the project.
The adventure was too risky, and Zhang Yandong was finding it difficult to handle.
"Sehun, don't blame me, I'll definitely help you back after I've already done so..."
“Brother Dong, I will handle these things myself. I came back to take care of this. I think it’s enough that you can do this much for me.”
Zhang Yandong responded, "We'll discuss when to come back."
"It will take some more days."
The important matters must be taken care of first.
Shen Shixun returned to the beef and mutton farm he had paid for to be located near the tourist area, where a large crowd had gathered.
During holidays, many tourists come to Saigon to experience its natural scenery. Instead of running small businesses, he expanded the scale of his operation, turning it into a farm instead of a beef and mutton shop.
He plans to learn from urban complexes and build them into places that generate various forms of consumption.
Rooney was annoyed. He had a big beard and was being stared at by a group of Han Chinese men and women. He just sat there, but they looked at him as if he were a monster.
He frowned, displeased.
Most of the tourists are college students who love the green grasslands and the unique natural scenery of the plateau.
Han Chinese tourists are in a good mood when they travel, and they are bound to be curious when they see locals, just like a southern puppy that has never seen snow in the north and can't help but want to roll around on the ground.
Doesn't he shave?
"It looks too dirty."
"Isn't it hot?"
"People from Saigon who go deep into the grasslands don't bathe much."
"Aren't you used to not showering? I shower every day."
"Water is not always available on the plateau, and the temperature is different during the day and at night."
"Among the surrounding hotels and guesthouses, his place is the largest, but he doesn't own any guesthouses."
There was only one roll, but it contained many cattle and sheep, and lots of dried meat was drying outside.
When there are plenty of cattle and sheep, the meat is made into jerky. This is a sense of security ingrained in Rooney's bones. Making it into jerky makes it easy to preserve and can be eaten during the winter.
The weather is gradually getting cooler, and in Saigon, this magical place, it may start snowing in a few days. When it snows, there will be less grass for cattle and sheep to eat, so they will grow slower.
On a wire mesh screen, large sheets of dried meat were drying in the sun.
Rooney had no idea what the Han Chinese were looking at; he was just surrounded like that, which made him feel a little oppressed.
The Han Chinese outside were all fair-skinned and were holding up their phones to him. Rooney put a piece of beef jerky in his mouth, and as he chewed, a little bit of the jerky fell out of his mouth and landed on his big beard.
"Is that natural jerky?"
"It seems so."
Does he sell this dried meat?
"What are those tin shacks over there for?"
Rooney didn't care what they were saying; he just sat there eating jerky.
After a while, Shen Shixun returned. He confirmed that the area surrounded by people was the farm that Rooney had rented, but he wasn't sure what so many people were doing there.
In the city, if you're surrounded by a lot of people, something must have happened!
Shen Shixun jogged over with a black backpack on his back and saw Rooney drying meat.
These city folks have nothing better to do than sit around watching Rooney eat and dry meat.
Sehun, you're back!
“He’s speaking Gong language.”
"Judging from his appearance, he must be a local from Saigon..."
The onlookers whispered among themselves, "Gong language is like a foreign language; we can't understand it at all."
"Exactly, it feels even harder than English."
"I'm back."
Rooney stood up and patted him on the shoulder. "They've been staring at me. What are they looking at me for?"
Rooney himself was also confused, thinking that drying meat was not illegal, but these people were staring at him, which made him feel uneasy, and he didn't know how to communicate with these Han people.
"Excuse me, everyone, please don't crowd around here. You're here for tourism. There's a whole lamb feast and barbecue over there, and there are also guesthouses nearby. We don't have any of that here; it's just a place specifically for raising cattle and sheep."
"Please don't crowd around my brother, he's embarrassed and doesn't understand Mandarin."
Upon hearing Shen Shixun's words, everyone was surprised, "He can speak Mandarin..."
"Wow, that's amazing! The Gong ethnic man can even speak Mandarin."
"Can we have a whole lamb feast here?" a female college student asked with a smile. "I see you have a lot of cattle and sheep here."
Shen Shixun paused for a moment, looking at the dried meat Rooney was drying, "We don't have a whole lamb feast, do you want some dried meat?"
Everyone had been gathered around for a long time. Seeing that the texture on the dried meat was very clear, they couldn't resist buying some to take home and try. The ones outside were all packaged in bags with the words "Place of Origin: Saigon" written on them.
But whether it's authentic or not is another matter.
In today's society, some businesses may obtain beef and mutton from factories outside the area for profit, repackage it, and sell it in Saigon. Nobody can say for sure.
"want."
"Can I have some? What flavors are available?"
