Chapter 27 Shen Shixun, you bastard!

Yang He cleared his throat. "You guys should be more careful next time. The proprietress is a really nice person."

"You know, it does have a certain charm, but it's just that it's getting old."

Shen Shixun listened to their risqué jokes and lowered his head to peel peanuts.

A moment later, Li Yun brought out a plate of cucumber salad and placed it in front of Shen Shixun. "This is a gift, it's free."

"Boss lady, do you still have free cucumbers? Don't you have any left?"

The proprietress came out smiling and looked at Li Yun. Li Yun blushed and turned to go back inside.

"It's a gift, I'm giving it to you to eat. You're regular customers, do you want it or not? If not, I'll take it back."

"Of course I want it! How could I refuse? It's free, why not take it?"

Everyone had drunk quite a bit, and Shen Shixun's face was flushed. He went inside to use the restroom, and when he came out, Li Yun was standing at the door watching him.

The cook in the kitchen was tossing a large ladle. The bathroom and kitchen were very close together. Li Yun seemed to have said something just now, but he didn't hear clearly.

Her face flushed, and she raised her voice, "Movie tickets, if you get off work early tomorrow, let's go see a movie."

"Movie?"

“I have an electric scooter, let’s go by electric scooter.”

After saying that, Li Yun went to the kitchen to get the dishes. Shen Shixun stood there, wanting to return them but afraid of attracting too much attention, so he had no choice but to go back and sit down.

After finishing their drinks, everyone went home. Yang He had drunk too much, and Shen Shixun helped him walk at the very back.

"Sigh... I work my butt off every month, but I still don't have enough money."

"Has something happened at home?"

“Everyone has a family with nothing to lose. Now that the kids are grown up, money is needed everywhere. A few days ago, my mom called and said she had a stomachache in the middle of the night. It turned out to be appendicitis, and half a month's salary was gone.”
