Chapter 114 To Restore Memories

Ling Huanwu just went to the clam farm to check on the clam farming situation.

The clams will be fully grown in two months.

However, Boss Lai issued an ultimatum, saying that he only had two days to collect all the clams, and then they would take over the entire mudflat.

He was certain that their farm wouldn't spend money to collect these worthless clams, so he could profit from them without any effort.

Ling Huanwu had just secretly used some spiritual spring water to irrigate the clams, but was somewhat frustrated to find that the spiritual spring water had no effect on the clams or other seafood and could not induce their growth.

She decided to sneak off to the clam farm again tonight under the cover of darkness to irrigate the clams and conduct some more experiments.

Unexpectedly, not far from the fish farm, several masked men in black clothes suddenly appeared from behind a reef.

Before she could react, a wet handkerchief was covered over her mouth and nose, instantly knocking her unconscious and taking her away.

Just a second before she fainted, Ling Huanwu stared wide-eyed at the sunset that had turned the sea red, unable to believe her eyes.

She always had to do good deeds under the cover of darkness, but these people actually came to kidnap people in broad daylight...

Zhou Jiuzhen had a headache for a long time on the dock before he recovered.

The two guards staggered, on the verge of tears, supporting his burly body, which was almost flattened.

"Commander, your head hurts so much, could it be that you're about to regain your memory? I've seen people on the stage in the past who regained their memories all had a sudden, intense headache, and then remembered their loved ones or something."

"Yeah, Commander, since the Commander's already gone, you should hurry back to your dorm and get some sleep. Maybe you'll remember your sister-in-law when you wake up..."

The two guards, working in tandem, struggled to help him back.

Zhou Jiuzhen wondered what would happen to his comrade Ling if he remembered his ex-girlfriend, the capitalist's daughter.

Startled, he quickly stood up straight without needing anyone's help.

"I'm off work now. I need to go to the farm to pick up Comrade Ling. Please save me two plates of twice-cooked pork, okay?"

After Zhou Jiuzhen finished speaking, he ran away like a gust of wind. His voice drifted on the sea breeze to the ears of the two dumbfounded guards, who were so stunned that they were almost blown away by the wind he created.

He went to the breeding farm but couldn't find anyone, so he went to the educated youth settlement to look for them.

I knocked on Ling Huanwu's door for a long time, but no one answered.

She turned around and met Zhao Jingxiang's gaze as he came out of the house.

Zhou Jiuzhen stared at the man's features, which resembled his own to a great extent, and could clearly sense the man's hostility.

Have you seen Ling, the educated youth, in this house?

Zhao Jingxiang took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth. "Never seen her before. Oh... I think I saw her going out for a tryst with that guy named Er Gou!"

Zhou Jiuzhen clenched his fists, his cold eyes gleaming. "What nonsense are you spouting? Do you have any sense of morality at all, spreading rumors about lesbians like this?"

"Oh, you like her that much..."

Zhao Jingxiang leaned closer to him, a cigarette dangling from his lips, his smile wicked, completely devoid of his usual gentle demeanor. "Believe it or not, if I want, the woman you like can become my woman immediately!"

Zhou Jiuzhen's eyes widened in anger.

At twenty-three, he might be able to tolerate it because of discipline.

But now, at eighteen years old and full of youthful vigor, he simply couldn't stand it.

With a sweeping leg kick, he pinned the other man's hands behind his back to the ground and warned him sternly, "Watch your mouth! This isn't a place for you spoiled capitalists to act tough. If you dare lay a finger on her, I'll take off this uniform and bring you to justice!"

Zhou Jiuzhen released his grip and looked at the man's face on the ground, covered in dust but still smiling sinisterly. His hair stood on end. Without lingering any longer, he quickly turned and ran to find Ling Huanwu.

*

Qin Jinshen and Ma Huwei traveled light, and to avoid any unforeseen complications, they took a detour from the educated youth settlement to the dock in the neighboring village.

When he met up with his men behind a reef, he saw two of his men walking towards him from afar, clumsily carrying a burlap sack on a shoulder pole.

When the sack was put down, the two men, unaware of the weight, carelessly placed it on the ground, and the carrying pole landed heavily on the sack with a crisp sound.

Qin Jin felt a sharp pain in his heart, rushed forward, and slapped each of his two subordinates across the face.

"What the hell are you doing? You're just putting people in sacks! If your sister-in-law gets hurt anywhere, I'll scatter your ashes!"

The two henchmen were so frightened that their legs went weak, and they hurriedly knelt down and begged for mercy.

"Sir, we didn't want this either! If we brought a grown man along and didn't carry him in a sack or on a shoulder pole, people would definitely notice us!"

The two of them cried so hard that their faces were covered in tears and snot.

The guard, feeling sorry for him, quickly advised, "Sir, let's leave quickly, otherwise if we are discovered and come looking for us, we won't be able to leave."

Qin Jinshen then suppressed his anger and went over to carefully hold the sack in his arms.

On the way to the dock, his heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to jump out of his throat.

He imagined living a shameless life with her in the future, having triplets, and felt so happy he was about to faint.

As soon as the group arrived at the dock, they saw a group of people queuing up to pass through the checkpoint and pay the corresponding toll based on the weight of their carry-on goods.

This wouldn't have been a problem in itself, but unfortunately, these people insisted on opening the goods to inspect them.

Sitting on the wooden platform, Boss Lai was smoking and blowing smoke rings. He squinted comfortably as he watched a group of villagers below obediently accept the inspection and pay the toll. His bald head and loose hair looked as happy as a bird flying around.

"What's this fat pig doing? What's wrong with him, ruining my plans!"

Qin Jinshen was on the verge of collapse.

His large ship was waiting in the waters not far away, and the fat pig in front of him was just a small fry under his company in China.

He ordered his lawyer to win the case for this fat pig and wipe out the villagers of Stone Village.
