Ling Huanwu rubbed her eyes; it was actually her mother-in-law, Wang Guihua!
The old woman's face was still kind, but she was surrounded by a faint halo, making her look somewhat ethereal.
"Huanwu, Huanwu..." her mother-in-law called her name softly.
Ling Huanwu was both surprised and delighted. She wanted to rush over, but found that she couldn't move her body.
"Mother, what are you doing here... I missed you so much... Please come back with me..."
The mother-in-law raised her hand slightly, signaling her not to get agitated. "Huanwu, time is running out. Listen to me."
"Jiuzhen is currently in a dangerous situation in a jungle. You must find him and rescue him!"
Ling Huanwu nodded hurriedly, her eyes filled with anxiety. "Mother, where is that forest? How do I get there?"
The old woman's figure gradually blurred, and her voice grew increasingly faint, "In the southwest, there is a strangely shaped mountain peak, like an eagle spreading its wings as if about to take flight... It's in the eagle's eye position, remember, you must be quick..."
Ling Huanwu suddenly opened her eyes, her back soaked with cold sweat.
She was panting heavily, her mother-in-law's words still echoing in her ears.
At this point, the helicopter had gradually stabilized, and the pilot was working hard to adjust the flight attitude.
"Quick, give me the map!" Ling Huanwu shouted urgently to the pilot.
Although the pilot was somewhat surprised, he quickly handed her the map.
Ling Huanwu unfolded the map and realized that their pilots' map was different from their usual map.
Her eyes searched quickly across the map, trying to recall her mother-in-law's description when she was unconscious. She found the southwest direction on the map, where there were rolling hills and dense forests.
Finally, she saw a mountain peak shaped like an eagle spreading its wings.
"This is it!" Ling Huanwu pointed to the map, her tone firm. "Pilot, please fly to this location immediately, the sooner the better!"
The pilot glanced at the map, then at Ling Huanwu's anxious expression, and nodded: "Okay, hold on tight!"

In the turbulent river, Zhou Jiuzhen felt his limbs become incredibly heavy, as if they were filled with lead, and every stroke required all his strength.
He knew this was because the effects of the medication were gradually becoming apparent.
His vision became increasingly blurry, and all he could see was a chaotic blue.
But he gritted his teeth and desperately swam his numb limbs toward the shore, with only one thought in his mind: to survive, not to die here.
After an unknown amount of time, Zhou Jiuzhen finally felt his hand touch the sand and stones on the shore.
He used his last bit of strength to climb ashore, collapsing to the ground and panting heavily.
He was soaked in the river water, trembling uncontrollably, and spitting out mouthfuls of fishy-smelling lake water.
Before he could recover, a series of noisy footsteps came from afar.
Zhou Jiuzhen was startled. He forced himself to stay upright, dragging his heavy legs, and hid in the nearby bushes.
He knew that Qin Jinshen would not let him off easily.
Entering the jungle, you are surrounded by towering trees that block out the sun. The ground is covered with a thick layer of fallen leaves, and the smell of humus mixed with the dampness fills your nostrils.
With each step, Zhou Jiuzhen felt his strength rapidly draining away. The feeling of his nerves being numbed made him dizzy, and the scenery in front of him became blurry.
He clung to the tree trunk, struggling to move forward. The branches tore at his clothes and skin, leaving bloody marks, but he seemed to feel no pain.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Zhou Jiuzhen finally couldn't hold on any longer. His vision went black, he lost consciousness, and collapsed straight to the ground.
All around was silent, save for the occasional chirping of insects and the low growls of wild beasts in the distance. In this perilous jungle, he was like a lamb to the slaughter, his fate uncertain.
Meanwhile, across a forest, Qin Jinshen led a group of people to search along the riverbank where Zhou Jiuzhen had just fallen.
The plan had only just begun; he absolutely could not let Zhou Jiuzhen go back!
After searching for most of the day, they still couldn't find Zhou Jiuzhen.
The subordinate cautiously spoke up, "Sir, we injected him with a nerve-numbing drug. I reckon he's already drowned in this swift river!"
"Keep searching! How could someone like him, who could smash an airplane cabin with one punch, die so easily! We need to find him alive or dead!"
As the group searched along the riverbank, they suddenly heard the roar of a helicopter overhead.
Qin Jinshen looked up and his face turned pale instantly. He shouted, "Quick, run into the jungle!"
The group of people quickly retreated.
From Ling Huanwu's perspective in the helicopter above, the group of people below looked like ants fleeing at top speed.
Ling Huanwu's heart clenched, and she immediately realized that it was Qin Jinshen and his group.
"Quickly, fly into the jungle!"
She shouted at the pilot, and tears suddenly streamed down her face.
She could only pray that God would help her find Zhou Jiuzhen first.
The entire mountain peak resembled a giant eagle perched on the mountainside. Ling Huanwu had the pilot circle around several times before they could roughly pinpoint the location of the eagle's eye.
However, the area below the helicopter was covered in lush green jungle, and there was simply no place to land.
The pilot pointed to an open area in the distance and suggested, "The men can take the elevator down here, and the women can land in that open area over there..."
“No, I can go down here too. But if they find Jiu Zhen first, he might…”
Ling Huanwu quickly refused. The thought that Zhou Jiuzhen might jump out of the plane pierced her heart with those imagined scenes.
The night was deep, and helicopters above the jungle flashed their dim lights and made a buzzing sound.
Ling Huanwu gripped the elevator ropes tightly, her knuckles turning white, and large beads of sweat rolled down her forehead, blending into the night.
She was carrying her and Zhou Jiuzhen's child.
The arrival of this little life should have been a sweet burden, but at this moment, it has become a boulder hanging over her heart.
"Comrade Ling, it's too dangerous! Get down! We'll go rescue Battalion Commander Zhou!" The pilot's voice came through the walkie-talkie, full of anxiety and worry.
Ling Huanwu took a deep breath, her voice trembling slightly, yet filled with unwavering determination, "No! I must go down!"
In her dream, she saw her Jiuzhen covered in blood, unconscious on a big tree.
Only if she goes down can she quickly find the big tree based on the dream imagery.
The dream was too bizarre, and they certainly wouldn't believe it if she told them, but she had to go and verify it herself!
She slowly closed her eyes, trying to calm the fear in her heart.
But when she opened her eyes again and looked down into the bottomless jungle, a wave of dizziness washed over her.
With each meter she descended, fear spread wildly through her heart like vines, yet her hands gripped the ropes tightly as if they were rooted to the spot.
