"Commander Zhou is very chivalrous; he feels sorry for my sister being labeled as a marriage fraudster..."
Ling Huanwu picked up the hemp rope from the ground, dragging the end of the rope in her hand, just like the coquettish tone she used to tease him.
She snatched the scale from the man's hand and threw it on the ground, then took the enamel cup from his hand and placed it on the table.
It took a lot of effort to bring his stiff and tense hands together, and the hemp rope was wrapped around the man's wrists, where the veins were bulging.
Zhou Jiuzhen closed his mouth, swallowed the remaining water, his Adam's apple bobbed, and his cheeks were already flushed red as he let the woman in front of him tie his hands.
"Ling Zhiqing, it really is you! I thought the bride today was your cousin in disguise."
"Oh, are you disappointed?" Ling Huanwu's eyes held a half-smile, her alluring corners tilting upwards. "Disappointed that I ruined your wedding night?"
"No way! I came here specifically to rescue Ling Zhiqing!"
Zhou Jiuzhen hurriedly waved his hands to explain, only to realize that he couldn't move his hands.
The woman in front of him was staring straight at him with her eyes, and her hands were wrapping hemp rope around him, completely binding him.
He belatedly realized his heart was pounding, and he even stammered, his voice dropping several octaves to a whisper, "Comrade Ling, why...why did you tie me up? I...I'm not a casual person."
Ling Huanwu lowered her eyes, tied the rope around his wrist, and quickly took a step back. "Didn't you just say you were given veterinary drugs? Didn't you want to tie up my cousin and do evil things? I have to think about my safety!"
Zhou Jiuzhen was shocked, aggrieved, and utterly ashamed.
He raised his bound hands, his face flushed crimson all the way to the back of his ears, "I'm not a beast!"
"Ling Zhiqing, let me go right now! I didn't drink the drugged wine they poured for me. If you tie me up, the police will be here soon, and we won't be able to explain ourselves later."
Ling Huanwu pulled on the other end of the rope and walked towards the door. "What's there to be unclear about? We've already had a proper wedding ceremony."
"Oh, by the way, what did they mean when they said they'd live a life of luxury if they followed you?"
As Ling Huanwu spoke, she wondered why these money-grubbing relatives would go to such lengths to marry her cousin to him.
She tugged at the rope, urging, "Hurry up and kick the door down! Didn't you say you'd call the police?"
"Hurry up..."
She tugged at the rope but couldn't budge it. She turned to look at the motionless man behind her, and screamed when her gaze fell on his scalding, steaming hair.
Zhou Jiuzhen's breath, though from a distance, felt like fire as it sprayed into the crook of her neck. His usually steady and powerful hands were now frighteningly hot, and the force with which he suddenly gripped her arm was uncontrollable.
"Ling Zhiqing..." His voice was hoarse, like sandpaper being scraped across his face. His forehead was covered in cold sweat, and his usually bright eyes were now frighteningly red. "I...I think something's wrong with me..."
Ling Huanwu felt flustered from the heat, and she withdrew her hand as soon as she touched his burning cheek.
Is the veterinary drug causing an adverse reaction?
The person who just said they were smart enough not to drink the drugged wine?
"Get out of my way, or I'll kick the door down," Zhou Jiuzhen gritted his teeth, cold sweat pouring down his forehead. "I... I'll just go out for some fresh air."
This can't be solved by just blowing a breeze.
Ling Huanwu was both angry and anxious as she watched him tremble with pain, yet still try to put on a show.
Just as she was about to speak, she saw him raise one foot to kick the door, but he missed and his body swayed as he lunged at her.
After a dizzying spin, Ling Huanwu was pinned to the ground, unable to move, and on the verge of tears.
Zhou Jiuzhen was completely oblivious to the fact that she was struggling to breathe, her chest heaving violently, her eyes burning red, yet she still stubbornly insisted, "Why are you lying under me? Don't worry, I'm not a casual person. I won't touch other girls before I'm married!"
Ling Huanwu endured the pain, feeling both amused and exasperated. Of course, she had long since witnessed how chaste Zhou Jiuzhen, at the age of twenty-three, was.
She gritted her teeth, her voice trembling, "Oh? So what were you trying to do, pressing me down and moving around like that?"
Zhou Jiuzhen, like a giant cat with its feet tied up and raised in surrender, suddenly turned his head, his ears turning so red they were almost bleeding, "I...I was afraid you'd move around!"
Before he could finish speaking, the man beneath him suddenly groaned and whispered, "Could you please stop moving around like that!"
Ling Huanwu quickly made a shushing gesture to him, and gestured upwards with her red lips towards the top of his head.
Zhou Jiuzhen felt a surge of emotion and looked in the direction she was pointing her lips.
What I saw shocked me: a camera lens, the size of a flat disc, had pierced through a tiny hole the size of a finger, and was pointed in a lewd manner at the wedding bed draped with red silk.
Zhou Jiu was so shocked that his eyes widened like copper bells. Just as he was wondering where to hide, a white light flashed and blinded him.
He closed his eyes and opened them again, and found himself back in that dreamlike fairyland.
All around are vast, boundless mountains and rivers, and nearby flows a babbling spring.
Beneath him... was a delicate, soft wife, as supple as cotton...
Zhou Jiuzhen stared intently at the woman beneath him, his gaze finally settling on her glistening red lips. He was blushing at the beautiful fantasy he had just had of imagining her as his "wife."
"I guess the Chinese medicine was too strong, and my mind is all muddled, causing me to hallucinate!"
He muttered to himself, burying his head in her neck like a big dog rubbing against her.
Ling Huanwu felt as if he was squeezing all the oxygen out of her chest and breaking her ribs.
She weighed only 90-odd pounds, how could she possibly withstand his 140-odd pounds?
"Aaaaaah, you're going to crush me to death..."
"Ugh, I'm going to be in so much pain! Sister, why are my hands still tied? Waaaaah..."
Zhou Jiuzhen thought it was a dream, and his body instinctively thought to say whatever he wanted and do whatever he wanted.
One second he was acting like a spoiled puppy, the next he was struggling violently with both hands, like a wild beast trying to break free of its restraints.
Ling Huanwu stiffened her legs in terror, not daring to move an inch.
If this man breaks free of the ropes, how will she survive?
In this boundless space, she could only be chased and beaten.
If it weren't for my cousin being under the bed at the time...
She was afraid that something might really happen if the two of them were locked up together, so she would never bring him into the space again.
"Comrade Xiao Zhou, get off me first, and I'll help you untie the ropes."
Ling Huanwu gently coaxed him.
Perhaps it's because eighteen-year-old men are particularly easy to coax, the man who was just struggling suddenly became like a docile puppy, reluctantly getting off her.
Ling Huanwu seized the opportunity, quickly flipped over and sat on him, raised his bound hands above his head, and began her dog training session.
"Where does it hurt? Let me help you..."
It was her first time doing something like this, and she blushed with embarrassment.
Zhou Jiuzhen stared with his large, wet eyes, the corners of which were red, like a Tibetan Mastiff that had suffered a great injustice. "My eyes hurt, my nose hurts, my mouth hurts, everything hurts..."
