Chapter 145 Darling, Did You Miss Me? (1/2)

Lin Han was unaware that she was highly regarded among military wives. After sunset, she went back to Grandma Jiang's house with Gu Qizheng.

The Gu family are all soldiers, and their daily routine is very regular. They usually wash up and go to bed after dark every night, and get up to exercise as soon as it gets light in the morning.

Although Mr. Gu has been retired for many years, he still maintains the habit of exercising when he was in the army.

Don't let his age fool you; this old man is in his seventies or eighties. His physical abilities are no worse than those of people in their forties or fifties.

When Lin Han and Gu Qizheng returned, everyone else had already gone to their rooms to rest, leaving only Qin Shuman in the living room.

"Mom, what are you doing so late?"

As soon as Lin Han entered the house, he saw Qin Shuman piecing together some scraps of cloth on the coffee table.

She was curious, so she went over to take a look.

All the scraps of fabric were cut into palm-sized squares, and they looked quite nice in all sorts of colors.

Qin Shuman smiled and pulled Lin Han to sit down on the sofa.

"This is fabric I specially found. I'm going to make a patchwork quilt for my baby. I'll piece it together to see which colors look best together."

Lin Han had heard of quilts made from multiple families, but in the 21st century, they were readily available online, and very few people sewed them themselves stitch by stitch.

"Mom, I'm only three months pregnant. Isn't it too early to do these things now?"

Qin Shuman answered while gesturing with the scraps of cloth.

"It's not too early. Having a baby is no small matter. There are many things to prepare. Start preparing slowly and little by little now so that you won't be caught off guard when you're about to give birth."

Your grandma and I both hope that you and the baby won't suffer, and we want to give you all the best things possible.

"You're too young to handle these things, so your grandma and I will take extra care of you. If you're feeling unwell during your pregnancy, just rest well; Mom and Grandma will take care of everything."

Lin Han felt incredibly happy at that moment. Having never experienced family love growing up, she was now surrounded by so many people who loved her, enveloped in the deep affection of her family. She felt truly blessed.

"Mom, thank you."

Qin Shuman patted Lin Han's hand.

"Don't thank me, I'm your mother, you don't need to be so polite with your mother."

Lin Han's eyes welled up with tears, her nose tingled, and she felt like she was about to cry from emotion.

Qin Shuman noticed that her eyes were red and worried that the girl might cry, so she quickly called Gu Qizheng to take her back to her room to rest.

Gu Qizheng led Lin Han upstairs, and once they were out of Qin Shuman's sight, he picked her up in his arms.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

"I'm hugging my wife."

Gu Qizheng moved with light steps, carrying Lin Han effortlessly.

He entered the room, carefully placed the person on the bed, and got up to close the door.

Lin Han stared blankly at the ceiling when suddenly a dark figure leaned down in front of her. Gu Qizheng braced his hands on either side of her, enveloping her in his body, and leaned down to kiss her.

Lin Han tried to dodge, but her hands were restrained and raised above her head. A passionate kiss landed on her lips.

Gu Qizheng had wanted to kiss her for a long time.

But he always had the desire but not the courage, and strictly followed the doctor's orders, not touching her even once three months ago.

He was afraid of things going wrong, so he hadn't even kissed his wife on the lips.

Lin Han kissed his earlobe during their walk, and he was completely overwhelmed. He held back all the way home and then hugged his little wife and kissed her from head to toe.

Lin Han felt itchy and pushed Gu Qizheng with her hand.

"Oh, you're so annoying! Don't kiss my waist, it tickles!"

Gu Qizheng, however, was passionate and unwilling to miss an inch of skin.
