Chapter 92 Going Beachcombing with Huo Qizheng (2/2)

She took a small shovel and tried to scoop up the bottom, but after scooping up a shovelful of sand, she didn't see a single clam.

Huo Qizheng laughed at her from the side, "These clams need to be forced out with salt."

Then the man took out a small bottle from his pocket, which contained industrial coarse salt used by the military.

Huo Qizheng poured some salt out of the bottle, held it in his hand, and then sprinkled it into the hole at the bottom.

Soon water gushed out of the hole, and a large, live clam crawled out. He reached out, grabbed it, and put it into Lin Han's small bamboo basket.

"Want to have a match?"

Lin Han's fighting spirit was ignited.

"Great! What's the reward for winning?"

Huo Qizheng looked at her with a smile. This little girl hadn't thought about losing at all; she was only thinking about winning.

"If you win, you can do whatever you want, okay?"

She already has everyone else, so why would she be afraid to give them a little something in return?

Lin Han looked confident that she would win. It wasn't that she was particularly confident in her beachcombing skills, but rather that she believed Huo Qizheng would let her have her way.

"Okay, you have to keep your word."

If she wins, she'll make Huo Qizheng dance in a skirt at home.

After mastering the technique of catching clams, Lin Han excitedly picked up a bottle filled with salt and, like a professional fisherman, poured salt into each hole.

Before long, she was pleasantly surprised to find that many plump and large clams emerged from the hole, as if beckoning to her.

As the number of clams in the small bamboo basket increased, Lin Han's mood became increasingly cheerful.

However, she was not satisfied with just catching clams; her gaze began to wander among the rocks, searching for other marine life.

Soon, her gaze was drawn to the crabs and octopuses under the rocks.

The crabs seemed to sense Lin Han's arrival and quickly hid, making it quite difficult for Lin Han to find them.

Lin Han carefully used her small pliers to pry open the stone, but these crabs were too cunning. As soon as she let go, they scattered like lightning, making it impossible for Lin Han to catch them in time.

Just as Lin Han was feeling a bit frustrated, she suddenly noticed that one of the octopuses hadn't escaped yet.

This octopus looks rather silly and cute. It seems completely unaware of the danger around it, and continues to slowly crawl on the rocks.

Seeing this, Lin Han was overjoyed and quickly picked up the small pliers and tried to grab the octopus.

Just as she was about to grab the octopus, a scream suddenly rang out: "Mommy! Help!"

The scream startled Huo Qizheng, who was not far away. He quickly dropped what he was holding and ran over. When he saw Lin Han jump and frantically shake her arms, he was truly terrified.

Lin Han got pinched by a crab's claw?

After all, crabs are quite strong, and you would definitely get hurt if you got pinched.

He rushed to Lin Han's side and asked anxiously, "Are you alright? Where are you trapped?"

Huo Qizheng rushed over, "Baby, are you hurt? Let me see."

He grabbed Lin Han's arm, but instead of seeing a crab, he saw an octopus clinging tightly to her arm, leaving him both amused and exasperated.

"Don't move, I'll help you get it down."

Lin Han was terrified. She would never say octopuses were cute and silly again. These things were slippery and disgusting, and the feel of them... ugh!

"Husband, save me!"

Huo Qizheng pried the octopus's suckers off Lin Han's arm one by one, and the little girl was already pale with fright.

He tenderly held the person in his arms and comforted them.

"Alright, sweetie, here's everything I caught. Are you feeling better now?"

Lin Han nodded blankly in Huo Qizheng's arms.

"Yes, give them all to me."

At this point, no one but Lin Han would still be thinking about winning.

Lin Han's small bamboo basket, along with Huo Qizheng's spoils from earlier, was almost full.

She didn't plan to challenge herself with the difficult crabs and octopuses anymore; she would let Huo Qizheng catch everything she wanted to eat.
