Extra Chapter 4: Gu Qizheng's Story (1/2)

Looking back at the whole story from Gu Qizheng's perspective, Lin Han was already in her forties.

Grandpa Gu and Grandma Jiang have passed away peacefully. They were healthy and in good health when they died, having reached the age of old age.

It is a joyous funeral.

Gu Huaiming and Qin Shuman have also retired. Every day, the two of them hold hands and take walks, bask in the sun, stroll in the park, and use their retirement pensions to help their grandchildren. They live a life as blissful as immortals.

Lin Han is in her forties, but thanks to the nourishment of the spiritual spring water, she looks much younger than other people her age.

Gu Qizheng felt a sense of crisis. He was several years older than Lin Han, and the age difference was still noticeable when the two stood together.

He might not be particularly happy if others called him Commander Gu, but if anyone said he was Lin Han's man, his smile would stretch to the back of his head.

"Hanhan, the New Year is just around the corner. Let me take you to the department store to buy you new clothes. You're in the perfect age to wear pretty clothes. I'll also buy you big gold pieces and big pearls to wear. It'll be so festive!"

Lin Han said disdainfully, "Gu Qizheng, you're so unfashionable. I don't want to wear a big gold chain."

Finally, after much pleading and cajoling from Gu Qizheng, they managed to get the whole set of gold jewelry.

Gu Qizheng was never stingy with Lin Han, and would buy her some jewelry every year. However, Lin Han didn't like wearing big gold pieces, but she would occasionally wear pearls.

"Let's leave this gold to the children. I'm too old to wear it; it's too flashy."

Gu Qizheng covered Lin Han's mouth with his finger.

"What nonsense are you talking about? You're in the prime of your life, you're beautiful enough, I'll argue with anyone who says you're old."

Lin Han smiled at him. After the children got married, they all moved out. Qin Shuman and Gu Huaiming also moved to the neighboring courtyard.

Lin Han and Gu Qizheng were more relaxed at home than when the whole family was together before.

Lin Han reached out and hugged Gu Qizheng's neck, "Husband, will you love me forever?"

Gu Qizheng kissed her cheek. "Of course I will. Even if I become bones a hundred years from now, I will still love you and love you forever."

Lin Han was very touched, but the feeling lasted less than two seconds before the man started to grope her.

"Hmm~ This is the living room."

"It's not like we haven't done it in the living room before."

"just in case......"

"Unless something goes wrong, the children won't be back this early."

An hour later, Lin Han lay on the sofa, too weak to even lift her hand.

She complained, "Gu Qizheng, isn't it said that men are no longer capable after forty? What's wrong with you? Have you become a child again?"

He's even more demanding than a twenty-year-old; it's incredibly exhausting.

Gu Qizheng was still somewhat unsatisfied and thought he should let Lin Han rest for a while and continue in the evening.

"I exercise every day, so my physical age is very young. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I'm in my twenties. You can try it if you don't believe me."

Lin Han begged for mercy repeatedly.

"Please spare me, I'm tired."
