Chapter 3 Does His Majesty Treat Me Like a Human Being?
Qin Jinzhi's arrogant and willful nature is largely due to the actions of three people.

Qin Ye scoffed, "If the frontier wasn't so harsh, do you think I'd bother entrusting Jinzhi to you? I would have kept Jinzhi by my side long ago."
The emperor immediately stood up and said, "Hey, you old codger, are you trying to start a fight!"
"Hey, stop arguing. You're all so old, why are you still so short-tempered?"
Qin Jinzhi poured a cup of tea for each of the two most powerful old men in the State of Jin.
The emperor was even angrier after hearing this, and slapped Qin Jinzhi on the head, "You scoundrel, how dare you say that! You had no sense of restraint and threw someone's daughter into the lake. You do bad things without even keeping them to yourself. Don't you care about your reputation?"
Qin Jinzhi chuckled, "Grandfather, that's called being upright and honest. Besides, what reputation do I have?"
Upon hearing this, His Majesty immediately felt an urge to give her a good beating!
Qin Ye snorted coldly after hearing this, "Why did you hit my precious grandson? Do you really think he's yours?"
His Majesty replied matter-of-factly, "Of course, Jinzhi was raised with great difficulty by me. You should be grateful that Jinzhi can still call you grandfather."
Qin Ye said with a look of disdain, "Stop trying to flatter yourself! If anyone has worked hard, it's Her Majesty the Empress. Jinzhi, let's go home with Grandfather!"
Upon hearing this, His Majesty immediately said, "That won't do. That old woman has been waiting for a long time. If you take her home, what will happen to my old woman?"
Qin Jinzhi quickly interrupted the two, saying that if they argued any longer, they would start fighting.
Qin Jinzhi walked behind Qin Ye and massaged his shoulders. "Grandfather, I'll keep Grandmother company for now. Tomorrow I'll return to the manor and spend more time with you!"
Qin Ye glanced sideways at the emperor, "Really?"
The emperor snorted angrily, "Do you think I can hold this bastard back from going home?"
Qin Ye scoffed, "Who knows!"
The emperor scoffed, "You old fool, you're so petty. Once you're gone, Jinzhi will have plenty of time to keep this old man company. Who cares about competing with you?"
Qin Jinzhi gave a thumbs up, "Grandfather is so magnanimous!"
Qin Ye immediately asked, "What about me?"
Qin Jinzhi immediately turned her head and exclaimed, "You have such a magnanimous spirit!"
"That's more like it."
The emperor said with a smile, "Alright, this rascal is good at flattering people. Your grandfather and I have things to discuss. Hurry up and go to your grandmother's place, or she'll come over and start scolding you again."
Qin Jinzhi replied with a smile, "Then Jinzhi will take her leave now."
As he spoke, he walked toward the Jiaofang Palace.
Just around a bend in the corridor, I heard my own name called.
A sweet voice was heard saying, "Brother Pei, Qin Jinzhi is back. What if she asks Father to grant you a marriage? You know Father always grants her requests. What if he actually agrees?"
Another chattering voice followed, saying, "Back then, because Sister Cui was engaged to you, she actually threw Sister Cui into the lake, almost killing her. Now Sister Cui is bedridden and can't even see anyone!"
After a few seconds of silence, a gentle, refined voice rang out: "I will not marry a woman with a heart of stone."
