Chapter 213 Mount Tai's Spiritual Energy

Before the climb officially began, Cheng Baidong placed two more paper puppets on Xiao Zhuque's body, asking them to protect the children, adding another layer of protection for double insurance.

Then the little Vermilion Bird soared into the sky, and the children screamed with excitement.

An'an: "Niao Niao! Niao Niao! Fly!"

Fang Qiao could only call out from behind, "Niao Niao, Niao Niao, slow down, don't fly so fast!"

The little Vermilion Bird didn't slow down at all, and its voice carried on the wind: "I know!"

Fang Qiao couldn't help but sigh: "That brat!"

Cheng Baidong smiled and put his arm around her shoulder: "Don't worry, it's well-behaved."

Fang Qiao looked at the tiny black dot that was almost disappearing from her sight, how could she not be worried at all?

But there's no use worrying. She can't fly, so how could she possibly pull this brat down from the sky?

"Let's go hiking!" She turned to look at Xiaojing.

Xiao Jing replied, "Let's go."

Not only had Tian Tian never climbed a mountain before, but Xiao Jing, who had lived for over twenty years, had also never climbed a mountain.

Heshan is so close to the family compound, but she has never climbed up it; at most, she would walk around the foot of the mountain a few times.

It was the first time she had ever seen such a majestic mountain, and her excitement was indescribable. She seemed tireless the entire way, and Fang Qiao asked her several times, "Do you want to take a break?"

Xiao Jing waved her hand and said, "Sister-in-law, I'm not tired. Are you tired? If you are, let's take a rest first."

As for why she didn't ask Sweetie?

Because children are full of energy, Sweetie can run even faster than her!

"I'm not tired either, let's keep going."

At this time, Mount Tai is in its most authentic state.

There are no cable cars or gondolas; you have to walk the whole way up the mountain.

Fang Qiao and his group started climbing the mountain at noon, stopping and starting along the way, and finally reached the summit in the evening, just in time for the sunset.

As the sun sets, crimson clouds paint the sky red, with clusters of clouds resembling peaks and ridges. Rays of golden light pierce through the clouds, cascading down to earth, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.

Fang Qiao couldn't help but exclaim, "How beautiful! No wonder it's the foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains!"

"You only realize how little you know when you need it," Fang Qiao said, realizing for the first time that she, a junior high school graduate, was truly uncultured.

Despite the beautiful scenery, her mind went completely blank; besides exclaiming, "So beautiful!", she couldn't think of any other adjectives.

Xiao Jing understands even less than Fang Qiao.

Fang Qiao at least graduated from junior high school, while Xiao Jing only graduated from elementary school, and it was a rural elementary school with poor teaching quality. She learned less than first and second graders in the city.

She looked bewildered: "Sister-in-law, what are the Five Sacred Mountains?"

Isn't this Mount Tai?

Fang Qiao smiled and explained to her, "The Five Sacred Mountains are a collective term for five famous mountains. Mount Tai is the foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains. In addition to Mount Tai in the east, there is Mount Hua in the west, Mount Song in the center, Mount Heng in the north, and Mount Heng in the south."

"Why are there two 'heng' mountains?" Xiao Jing asked, puzzled.

Fang Qiao: "The pronunciation is the same, but the characters are different. One is the character with the heart radical, and the other is the character with the 'dan' radical. The other is the character with the 'heng' radical, which is balanced."

Xiao Jing nodded as if she understood, then scratched her head sheepishly and said, "Sister-in-law, please don't laugh at me, but of all the mountains I know, I only know Mount Hua."

When she was a child, before the Cultural Revolution, she watched a theatrical troupe perform in the countryside. She knew that there was a scene in the play where Chenxiang splits a mountain to save his mother. The mountain he splits is Mount Hua.

"What's so funny? We graduated from elementary school and junior high, we're pretty much the same. Besides, it's normal that you don't know these things, they're not taught in elementary school textbooks." Fang Qiao patted Xiao Jing on the shoulder and said, "There are night schools in Beijing, let's both go to night school and learn more."

Education is the foundation of one's livelihood. Factories in Beijing now give priority to junior high school graduates when hiring workers. In ten or twenty years, the educational requirements will be even higher.

I still need to study and improve my academic qualifications; I can't just stay where I am.

Xiao Jing nodded in agreement: "Okay."

There are places to stay on the top of Mount Tai, but the conditions are poor and there are few people, only a few cats and dogs.

Fortunately, Cheng Baidong had everything in his space. Once inside, he could simply close the door and add an isolation array, and take out whatever he needed from his space.

Moreover, the isolation formation has another advantage: it keeps you warm.

The temperature on the mountaintop dropped sharply at night, and the cold wind howled outside the window, but it was very warm inside the house.

After eating and drinking their fill, everyone went to bed early, because they needed to get up early the next morning to watch the sunrise.

They slept fully clothed, and the next morning, just as dawn was breaking, Cheng Baidong woke everyone up.

"It's almost dawn, time to get up and watch the sunrise."

"Hmm," Fang Qiao responded, sitting up groggily.

After getting up, Tian Tian yawned, rubbed her eyes, and still couldn't open them completely.

But it only lasted a short while, because as soon as the door was opened, the cold wind blew on my face, and even the sleepiest person would wake up and become fully awake.

There aren't many people at the top of the mountain, so there's no need to reserve a spot in advance.

Cheng Baidong carried An'an, while Fang Qiao held Tian Tian's hand in one hand and linked arms with Xiao Jing's in the other, leisurely walking towards the best viewing spot they had scouted out the day before.

The little Vermilion Bird continued to serve as a mount, carrying the two brothers, Chuan Chuan and Yue Yue, on its back.

Cheng Baidong timed it perfectly. Just a few minutes after arriving at the viewing spot, a milky white laser beam lit up the distant horizon, piercing the dark sky. The clouds were gradually tinged with the colors of the sunrise, from light red to deep red. Then, a fiery red sun leaped out from the horizon.

The sun rises in the east, its red glow like fire, revealing the magnificent beauty of the world.

Just as Fang Qiao was immersed in the beautiful sunrise.

Little Vermilion Bird suddenly exclaimed, "Huh?"

Fang Qiao stared intently at the rising sun, unwilling to look away, and casually asked, "What's wrong?"
