Chapter 231 Flying Snow Welcomes Spring

"It seems that everything must be made in duplicate, neither more nor less. If the distribution is unfair, there will be fights over whether there are too many or too few."

Fang Qiao knew that raising twin sons would inevitably lead to fights, but for them to start fighting at only one year old was a bit too early!

Fang Qiao sighed and said worriedly, "They're already fighting over things at such a young age. What will they do when they get older? They'll probably tear the house apart."

"It's alright, kids don't hold grudges after a fight, they forget about it as soon as they turn around, and they've already made up."

"Really?" Fang Qiao asked with some doubt.

Cheng Baidong nodded: "If you don't believe me, go inside and take a look. When I came out to pick you up, the two of them were lying on the bed playing sepak takraw with their two older sisters."

Fang Qiao carried An'an into the room and saw Xiao Jing lying on one side of the crib, the two little ones lying side by side, one facing up and the other facing down. But the one on the left, whether it was Chuan Chuan or Yue Yue, was hugging and nibbling on the toes of the one on the right.

"?"

Fang Qiao was speechless, then turned to Cheng Baidong and asked, "When did they wash their feet?"

Cheng Baidong thought for a moment and said, "Uh... it was when I was sleeping last night."

Fang Qiao: "..."

This kid hasn't washed his feet all day and he's still chewing on them. Doesn't he care about being dirty?

Fang Qiao couldn't stand it anymore, so she put An'an on the ground and quickly went over to separate the two children: "Let go of their mouths, let go of their mouths, don't bite their feet anymore."

The two children were incredibly agile; once caught, they immediately thrashed about trying to hide inside.

While Fang Qiao was directing Cheng Baidong to get a basin to add hot water, the two children crawled around on the bed, making a mess. Because they were dressed the same, and Fang Qiao had been looking down and couldn't see their faces clearly, she couldn't figure out which child was biting the other foot even after washing their feet.

She could only discipline both children at the same time: "Your feet are dirty, you can't chew on your feet anymore, do you hear me?"

The two children blinked their big, dark eyes and stared at her innocently, it was hard to tell whether they understood or not.

Fang Qiao: "..."

After dinner, the cold wind outside blew even more fiercely, and the temperature dropped rapidly.

Dark clouds covered the sky and obscured the moon. On moonless nights, the earth was pitch black, so dark that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.

Fang Qiao, wrapped in a thick cotton-padded coat, went to the toilet after leaving the main room. As she walked back and forth in the courtyard, the wind whipped her bangs upwards, and she couldn't get them down no matter how hard she tried to press them down with her hand or comb them.

Fang Qiao had to wet her hair a little before she could fix her bangs.

It's too cold outside. I went out to use the restroom and all the warmth on my body dissipated.

Fang Qiao prepared some hot water for a foot bath and also put a foot bath pack made of dried blood-clotting herbs in the basin. It felt so comfortable to put her cold feet into the warm water.

Fang Qiao let out a long breath and turned to chat with Cheng Baidong: "It's getting windy outside, it's probably going to snow tonight."

Cheng Baidong smiled and said, "It's almost Chinese New Year, a little snow is nice, flying snow welcomes spring."

Fang Qiao hummed in agreement and said, "Then it would be better if it snowed heavily, preferably a blizzard that lasts for a whole day and night. Otherwise, a little bit will melt as soon as it hits the ground."

Cheng Baidong listened carefully to the sounds outside the window and said, "Judging from the wind, it's quite loud. It must be snowing quite heavily too."

"That would be perfect. We've only had two or three light snowfalls this year, and they all melted within a day. They might not even have frozen the pests in the fields to death. The crops are still missing a heavy snowfall." Fang Qiao smiled and wished, "Ideally, it would snow all night tonight, plus another day and night tomorrow. And then it would stop snowing on the day after tomorrow, the first day of the Lunar New Year, so the sun can come out and we can go to the Forbidden City to enjoy the snow scenery. The Forbidden City is most beautiful after a heavy snowfall."

Cheng Baidong agreed and asked, "What do I need to bring to the Forbidden City?"

"Just bring your ID and money, nothing else."

"The last time I saw the Forbidden City in snow was when I was in junior high school. I remember it was a Sunday, and the sun hadn't even risen yet when my junior high classmate came to my house in the dark to wake me up."

We were both very poor at the time. My parents didn't care about me, and she was a burden brought by her mother after her remarriage. We didn't even have money to take the bus. We stole her family's bicycle and took turns riding it, each riding a short distance. In the end, because we didn't have money to buy tickets, we shamelessly followed the line of elementary school students and pretended to be elementary school students to get in for free.

After a day of wild fun, we each got a beating when we got home, and the next day when we went to school, we were all limping. But even so, we were still very happy.

At this point, a nostalgic look appeared in Fang Qiao's eyes: "It's a pity that my classmate and I were sent to the countryside one after the other. I went to Henan Province, and she was assigned to the far Northwest. The mountains are high and the roads are long, and we have lost contact."

Cheng Baidong comforted him in a deep voice: "If we are destined to meet again, we will meet again in the future."

Fang Qiao hummed in agreement and said softly, "I hope so."

It would be best if we could meet, but it doesn't matter if we can't.

Because that's how life is; you'll always meet many people along the way, and you'll also part ways with many others.

All good things must come to an end, so it is all the more precious to have the chance to meet friends who will stay with you until the end.

Having lived through two lifetimes, Fang Qiao is open-minded and not overly saddened by it.

I had a good night's sleep, with snowflakes falling softly outside the window.

The next morning, Fang Qiao got up and opened the door. The yard was covered with a thick layer of snow, the tree branches were like silver bars, and the ground was also a blanket of white. The heavy snow was still falling, and the sky was still overcast, so it seemed that the snow wouldn't stop anytime soon.

Sweetie shuffled out of the west room in her slippers and exclaimed in surprise when she saw the yard covered in snow, "Wow! It's really snowing!"
